201  Economy / Services / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [Up to $120/week] on: August 05, 2018, 08:15:50 PM
Would anyone be interested if I decided to extend this Signature Campaign beyond Friday?  Smiley

I think we(current participants) all will.  Cheesy
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will this bull run be? on: August 03, 2018, 02:40:33 AM
Well, it ended before it even started. So guess you got your answer. The Bull run we are expecting here may never happen. I was hoping September-October might be the time where bitcoin goes high up, but maybe it is just delayed further more. Instead of bull runs, we may just have minor price fluctuations all along the year,it'd be a terrible year for bitcoin, but it is what it is.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: Economists attempt to establish "true value" of $8k Bitcoin... on: August 03, 2018, 02:20:47 AM
Fuck these people. These economists aren't accomplishing anything, instead of them saying crap about bitcoin, why don't they focus on recession and world Economic crisis? Oh wait, they can't. They stupid as fuck. They have knowledge , but just not the brains to use that knowledge. I mean, these economists couldn't predict the Great Depression nor did they predict the recession, so sure this prediction of bitcoin's true value is legit.  Roll Eyes
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs ApplePay on: August 03, 2018, 01:59:22 AM
Why do you have to compare everything?

Applepay is a rip-off of Samsung pay, firstly. Bitcoin is a crypto, Applepay isn't even a financial system. Its a third-party application for fiat. Bitcoin eliminates the use of third party intermediaries. Look, if people are interested, they will adopt bitcoin, otherwise they won't. Bitcoin survives on its own, it will get adopted when it has to.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX CEO: A Bitcoin ETF Is Great For Adoption, Triples-Down On $50k Prediction on: August 03, 2018, 01:05:23 AM
It might be good for speculation and the price, but ETFs will not help in what the real bitcoiners want. Adoption.

Also, ETFs are only good for those few large specialized investors called authorized participants because they hold your bitcoins, while you hold a useless ETF.
Sticky this shit, people need to understand this. I mean, ETF takes the whole "fun" part in bitcoin, I enjoy everytime I install/use a wallet, send and receive coins, check for confirmations in block explorers.

I reckon the approval will pump bitcoin, but it will also dump bitcoin after a short time when the news of the approval is released.
ETF can cause a big bull run, make no mistake. But it won't get accepted, mostly not. Do you honestly expect that a Centralized organization would approve something decentralized? Don't forget that US is afraid of bitcoin. Roll Eyes ETF has already been rejected twice at least, so take a hint. Shocked
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade War Casualties: Factories Shifting Out Of China on: August 02, 2018, 11:59:19 PM
Vietnam is eating those Chinese factories one by one, and it's not like it has begun this year.
Wages in China are growing and workers are becoming twice as expensive.
China fucked up big time, it is just a matter of time, that the US would also fall behind. I wouldn't want for that happen, because everything in this world, is related to the United States of America. We would visualize the Mr.Robot tv show for real, this time. Riot and chaos everywhere.

Even here in Europe, I've started seeing this trend.
Cheap clothes and lingerie are made in Bangladesh and Vietnam, the Nike store was half full with shoes from India, and for the first time, I've seen some tools in the bricolage shop made in Indonesia.
Tariffs might be the nail in the coffin, but the coffin was ordered and ready years ago.
We all know China produced ok type of quality products, but if the neighboring developing countries make the quality of things worse, China will regain the power. And these countries lack capital, China is rich as fuck. Something that needs to be considered deeply is this.

I'd be happy to see manufacturing moving out of China, even if the jobs only move to Southeast Asia (or wherever).  China has been counterfeiting every great product the rest of the world has produced for more years than I can count, and I'm not a big fan of the country in general.  They're a bunch of thieves as far as I'm concerned.  Not that I dislike the people, because I have a great respect for their history and their collective intellect.

Countries like Indonesia and the rest need those manufacturing jobs too.  Maybe the shitposting situation would even improve if they could find real-life jobs.  That's probably a pipe dream, but I suspect it's not easy to work for a living in south Asian countries--don't know if the islands are included in that; my grasp of geography leaves a lot to be desired.
Well, bitcointalk is only gonna get more infected by this entire fucked up shit. Get ready to visualize the spam haven, but this time, its gonna be much worse. Chinese unemployed workers are gonna raid bitcointalk.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Billionaire Steven Cohen to invest in crypto focused Autonomous Partners fund on: August 02, 2018, 11:45:33 PM
Well people are more focused on Mac coins affecting the bitcoin price.

I don't these should affect the prices, for its just an investment. People won't give a shit about this. Just because a Billionaire uses other people's funds to invest in it, doesn't make bitcoin/crypto a big thing. People should recognize crypto for its true worth. Trust me, this is going nowhere, in terms of affecting anything.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: India to legalize gambling and sports betting on: August 02, 2018, 11:26:38 PM
About time. The US has finally come to its senses about legalising sports betting, and India should get on board. God knows how much their economy would benefit from revenue.

Normally wouldn't immediately see it as a good thing but in India's case, it's way beyond control. With regulated gambling, they should also make some headway into match fixing. Cricket there is such a disgrace, but with so much riding on blackmarket betting, who wouldn't throw a few games for easy money?
Government won't benefit much or at all from this. There are so much corruption in India, legalizing gambling won't take them anywhere. Its not the sport that is at disgrace, its the fucking people. Illegal betting and blackmarketing is prevalent in every country.

Even if betting is regulated, those people who these bettings underground won't show up. They'd still be doing what they used to. Indian government is considered to be a joke, by a lot of people,in and out of the country. They need to do more than just legalizing it.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does McDonald coin have the power to cause dip in bitcoin market on: August 02, 2018, 11:04:12 PM
No. Don't be daffy. It's not a coin in any way. It's a redeemable voucher in effect.

It is an interesting one though. If McDonald's made them valid forever that makes them a vastly better store of value than the USD. They'll always be worth one Big Mac no matter how shitty and worthless your dollar bill becomes.

It might wake some people up as to what money actually is.
This. I love the fact that you hate/dislike the dollar.

I wouldn't be surprised if people do some crazy ass shit to get these Mac-coins, like burglary, and all sort of the good stuff.

Back to maccoin affecting bitcoin's price, who, who in the right mind would think of such a possibility. These mac coins don't have a monetary value. That's stupid. People need to go to kindergarden again.  Lips sealed

I agree, and I think the smaller and more volatile the market, the more susceptible that market is to rumor and news.  Bitcoin is relatively small and certainly is volatile.  That said, I don't think any coin issued by McDonald's is going to have much of an effect.  I hadn't heard anything about it, but to me it sounds pretty stupid.  McDonald's doesn't need its own cryptocurrency and if they create one, it'll basically be a gift certificate--you'd have to purchase it with fiat and could only spend it at McD's (though I haven't read anything about it yet and I may not know what I'm talking about).

Bitcoin is down in the past few days because after popping up to $8400 or whatever it got to, people are taking their profits off the table.  I think a lot of speculators made money after a period when it was stuck at $6000, and they're cashing out.  I don't think any coin McD's made or is planning to make had anything to do with it.
Bitcoin's market is more than just small, in fact its quite a big one. And just so you know, Mac coin is not a crypto. Its a freaking physical coin, like the ones used in arcades.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: The real estate bubble on: August 02, 2018, 10:36:34 PM
Yes, those aren't downtown apartments. There are many factors to consider, one of them being construction materials. Older buildings are made of bricks, at least here in Europe. The newer ones are prefabricated and built within months. If you compare 50 year old buildings to the new ones, for the same price you're getting underground garages, terraces, huge panoramic windows, and cheaper per square meter than a 50+ year old downtown apartments.
In my country, the older buildings are deliberately devalued, and most of the people buy it, but only to find out that the building will be soon collapsed by a bulldozer.

IMO The Trump administration is doing its best to discourage people from moving to the US.
Yeah and other countries are promoting tourism, including mine and making the cost of living go only more higher.  Angry

This is an important factor. The  problem is that most EU countries have negative growth. Some have neutral, but a positive is a rarity.
I see why things are totally opposite in the EU.

If I had the money I would try to own at least 4 apartments in big cities which would deliver a rent high enough to not have to work and live pretty comfortably. These will ALWAYS have a demand. In a globalized world there will always be people willing to pay for it. Many exchange students come to these cities if no locals want to rent it. There is a big demand. Just try to get them in places without troublesome people so you don't have to lose sleep over some fucktard destroying the furniture or whatnot.
Yeah don't do that. It seems to be a go to thing for a lot of people in my country and people do successfully do it, but its not ideal. Some people buy a 3 BHK and rent the two rooms and boom, they don't have to get a job. And the apartments will only be in demand, if they have their working environment around them, with essential stores around. You could earn a fuckton of money, but be careful, subletting is not allowed in some places.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2018, 08:58:28 PM
According to Marca, Florentino Perez said that Modric isn't going anywhere, they'll only sell him if a club pays €750m LOL I think he'll leave the team once he contract expires in the next couple of years.
Sigh. I need to reconsider my *sources*.  Embarrassed

But €750 Million, that's a lot, and what do you know, that's more than what they had for Ronaldo(initially it was around 1 Billion but they reduced it right before Juventus were interested in him).

High, after all, it's Real Madrid, they're always the big favorite to win the whole thing. They've won a bunch of CL without Zidane, CR7, or Modric.
I forgot, who is the new manager for Real again?

The current Real Madrid team is half-filled. They need to replace Benzema and they need a good Left Winger. Did the Hazard-Courtois deal go any further? The chances for Real this year is a questionable possibility. There are better teams than Real this year, so who knows.

Ronaldo's move to Juventus has already paid off so much, and he hasn't even played a match yet. Normal prices in turin: 25€. After Ronaldo's arrival, the prices are going up to 400€, an average being 150€.  Shocked
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Kardashian promoting Bitcoin on instagram. During Poker Game. on: August 02, 2018, 05:34:34 PM
Was that a kialara and a physical bitcoin she was showcasing? Wow, thanks Kim. People are gonna hate bitcoin more than ever now. People don't give a shit about this, it won't make a huge ass bull run. So don't expect for it.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Upcoming economic crisis - crypto safe haven like gold or not? on: August 02, 2018, 02:25:42 PM
There are enough signs that an economic crisis is going to happen soon in the next 3 - 5 years.

Whether China's bubble will burst or the dollar will implode.
Do you guys think crypto will be as good an investment as gold in time of crisis?
As much as I would love for the dollar to implode, I wouldn't want for it to happen. The whole world will collapse and fall to misery. China's bubble is already on the verge to burst, its in the middle of a trade war. Crypto is not an investment. People think that, but its not. For me, at least bitcoin isn't. I use it as a currency and I proudly do so. But most people might actually resort to crypto as an investment. I watched Mr.Robot, and when everything failed and the entire banking system and credit/debit cards went down, people were hunting for crypto and hard cash. So you never know.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Not only bitcoin, blockchain can also be a business on: August 01, 2018, 11:55:06 PM
What has quantum to do with blockchain?
Quantum is a changing the way of how computers work from bits to qubits, the blockchain is a database.
Quantum has nothing to do with blockchain, for now yes, but a part of me says a technology is in development to take over blockchain, in relation with quantum, don't know how, so don't ask. I am watching too many movies, so mind me. Grin

For most people here bitcoin is work, bitcointalk is work, airdrops are work.
There are a lot of users who are actually saying they are "doing bitcoin" whatever that means, I just hope it doesn't involve humping.

Anyhow lately this blockchain madness has gone beyond anyone could even dream of.
They are designing projects based on "blockchain" for everything, and I saw some pretty stupid ideas, from pets to vegetables to skin care.

Well, we are to blame for that happen. That's what happens when you speculate too much, you start giving it a business type of feeling. Blockchain is giving birth to more scams than it giving birth to legit ideas.

215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (500-333-8) +9.291 Bitcoins on: August 01, 2018, 11:31:58 PM
Hey that is dope. Your 500th win!  Shocked I don't even have those many over all bets.  Undecided

Jeez, I could use some help from you. I am not very good at gambling, lost a couple hundred dollars a while ago, then decided not to go too deep into it.  Sad

Its sad that the giveaway isnt't there for now. Undecided
216  Economy / Economics / Re: The real estate bubble on: August 01, 2018, 10:59:35 PM
Definitely not the case in the country I live. Too many fucking restrictions. And there's no way in hell are new apartments cheaper than the old ones. The old ones are getting renovated or totally destroyed. And new ones come up again. And the newer buildings are fucking expensive, like too much. I don't think the situation you're talking about is prevalent everywhere, its mostly only in the US or in cheap developing countries. One factor that needs to be considered here is where the buildings are being built. From your case, I think people are buying the apartments in the outskirts of any given city and overtime people will start moving there and the rent/land value will go up.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 01, 2018, 10:54:02 PM
- Inter Milan keen on Luka Modric (Real Madrid).
And he is interested too. Its apparently a confirmed deal, no official statement yet though.

Real will lose their 2 of their best player and Zidane leaving Real too. What are the chances of them winning the Champions League this year.

Is the Pogba deal confirmed (as in, is Juventus really bidding) or are they just rumors?  Cos that's the thing when the transfer window is getting closer to the deadline...  Lots of sites keep reporting anything that gets us reading.
Right now, rumors only. A few legit sites also stated about this, but all of them may just be FUD.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: With or without approval of btc/ETFs ,we are positive of bull run. on: August 01, 2018, 10:40:22 PM
The price of bitcoin is showing great resilience even after the recent decline of ETFs by the SEC decision. We must not be moved at all by these few odds. The market will surely pick up greatly again.Staying postitve is the key.In history, there have never been any commodity that it's price never declined. So it is also normal for price of btc to fall and rise. This is a normal market situation and every seasoned trader understands this principle.
People got too excited, they were too reluctant to face the fact that its the SEC that has to finalize the decision and everyone was hoping for the ETF to get approved. Honestly, I am very much happy that it did not  get approved. An ETF is so not the way to look at bitcoin. Sure bitcoin will be more recognized, but if people can't see the real use and reason behind bitcoin's existence, they shouldn't be into it. I expected a bull run to start from September, but now that people are upset that ETF got rejected, the bull run is a little more far away, but its coming.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock FOMO on: August 01, 2018, 10:19:31 PM
My question is who fucking spread fake news here?
you are!!!

BlackRock never denied anything because they never said they are doing something they weren't. you are just making things up in your head. all they said was that they are looking into cryptocurrencies as viable investment options, that was all. and the price rise wasn't that significant either. this is nothing new, it is not like we went to $9k+! this was a small 10% rise above $7k resistance which was about to happen with or without BlackRock,...
This. But we did go to 9k+, right? I vaguely remember.  Huh

People got so fucking excited when the news about BlackRock researching about crypto came out. Some even started speculating bull runs because of this, and bloomberg isn't the one to blamed here, not this time at least. I'll be honest, I didn't know much or anything about BlackRock and I actually read wrong misleading info on it, stating that BlackRock is going to invest in cryptos or whatever bullshit that was.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gallup Poll Shows Only 2% of US Investors Own Bitcoin, But 26% Are ‘Intrigued' on: August 01, 2018, 10:00:13 PM
Well, you are asking stock market investors. Don't believe that poll, not questioning the legitimacy of the poll here, but I don't believe a single word that these stock market investors say. They are known for deceiving people. In reality there are quite a lot of investors in bitcoin, they just don't want to admit it out in the real world for many reasons, one of them being they don't want to be embarrassed/ashamed because they are stock market investors.

Wait what? The article says the survey was conducted in May this year. Or were you referring to a similar survey?

But yeah, I'm kind of interested as to how much these serious investors actually have in Bitcoin, and what would make those who aren't interested to reconsider their stance. Bitcoin still has a huge untapped market for sure, but this survey doesn't paint a very pretty picture of how it is currently doing in the eyes of traditional investors. It just seems like we're stuck in a paradox where we need more adoption to drive more adoption.
They have a considerable amount invested, not more than what they have invested in stock, but a considerably bigger, bigger than a middle class investor. If my memory serves right, there were so many surveys on these, and all of them derived different results. I would also like to remind people on what happened last year. Jamie Dimon told people that bitcoin is garbage, its a bubble, but in reality, he spent a shitload on money buying it.
