781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer My Entire Savings to Cryptocurrencies? on: January 05, 2018, 09:21:49 PM
That's something I wouldn't recommend doing so. Stocks are giving you a steady return, crypto give a better return but the risk is equally justified if you're going to trade. I have a lot of money in cryptos, invested in  various areas. But every day I wake up with a fear of the exchange I use getting hacked, or something happens to my money or something like that. Mate don't put your entire stash here, a partial one may do. There's no exchange you can trust, you have to trust yourself and make a decision. It's time you bolden up. Kraken and binance seem to be good exchanges for now, but don't take things for granted.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Help me with my portfolio on: January 05, 2018, 08:04:29 PM
Not a bad one to begin with, but you do realize these coins were being pumped due to various reasons. If you favor such coins which get pumped , not these but in general , I'm afraid but you may not witness the best of your investment's return. Analyze the data from various websites and sources, then make your call. Do not seek others for helping you out with your portfolio, you might end up losing all your money.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: The popularity of crypto currency in Iran is growing because of economic uncerta on: January 05, 2018, 06:56:07 PM
So what's the use of such protests, it is only causing chaos, the government would not seek to help them if the people itself do not co-operate. Bitcoin is gaining popularity not only in Iran but all over the world, that's because of its damn price not because of its reason for existence. Anything which has a greater advantage on people in terms of money give attraction to people. Orderliness is a must in countries like Iran, the US already despises Muslim countries, which may not end well for Iran or its people. People need to come out of their fucking stupidity.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: January 05, 2018, 06:03:08 PM
I think differently and so do you. Everyone has their own opinions, opinions don't seem to help most of the time, cause they maybe false. Seeking for such is never good, especially when it comes to crypto currencies. You would have to trust other people's opinions, which may not end up well for you. Thousands of people ask such questions now if not millions. Why don't you go and do some research on your own, use the charts to analyze data and then take your decision? When you do so, you place faith in yourself and you'll learn if you get a loss, and soon enough you'll be an expert.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will lend money without banks? on: January 04, 2018, 10:24:52 PM
If a decentralized system of money is implemented, lending capacity would be vastly reduced and slow the growth of the economy.
Doesn't everyone know that? It would again give birth to landlord system where people with more money would abuse their power towards people who are in need of money. Banks must be present in this world, lending individuals wouldn't result favorably. If banks vanish, the economies will soon after perish, because of greed which has already been filled in people's minds. Decentralized economies would bring chaos to the economy, as immaturity still pertains.
786  Economy / Economics / Re: Ghana invests 1% of its reserves in Bitcoin on: January 04, 2018, 09:34:40 PM
Ghana invests 1% of its reserves in Bitcoin

The executive director of a large holding company in Ghana called on the central bank to invest one percent of its reserves in Bitcoin.

In an interview with Joy Business, Papa-Wassa Shefi Ndoum - vice president of Groupe Nduom - said that Bitcoin has grown so much that central banks can no longer ignore its precedents as a global reserve asset.

Referring to reports that predict that the US dollar will decline relative to other reserve currencies in 2018, Ndoum said that African central banks, such as the Bank of Ghana, should consider buying a small amount of Bitcoin while it is at a relatively low level compared with the record price in December last year.

More
Bitcoin has grown, in terms of price yes. Any country investing in Bitcoin would first think of the consequences of the act first. US would get offended obviously, that 1% sounds to be small but it is a lot of money, so little change in the price of bitcoin shall affect the reserves and in times of need, if the price falls, it shall affect the economy badly. Central Banks of different countries have issued various circulars on how to avoid the "biggest and the latest bubble" of this decade, Bitcoin. If one country decides to do so, others would not like such a cause since these are totally decentralized, and economies are clearly centralized. This may affect and cause a lot of hindrances in trades between country figuratively and literally.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why are cryptos like Ripple and Stellar sky rocketing in prices? on: January 04, 2018, 06:36:07 PM
The subject itself is the question, so if anyone can help with that?
These coins have been underdogs since like forever, now people wanted to promote this coin or should I say "pump" this coin to rounded prices like to a dollar or even more, the one like USDT but these coins have better value and better background than USDT. After the shady dealings of bitfinex people are looking towards alternatives. This has been one of speculations that is being discussed in the markets.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Goes Down! Surprising or not on: January 03, 2018, 08:52:36 PM
This is a common thing now. Before 2017 began it was too much if the price went down by 200$ but now that has become a child's play. Abashing it is, for we are the wealthy new elites in this world, bitcoin has bought us fame and glory and we shall rejoice it. Even if it goes down, we shall not fall apart, because remember united we stand, divided we fall. Let's embrace this moment and buy bitcoin again andrt us make ourselves rich.
789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Road to 0.1 btc on: January 03, 2018, 07:17:55 PM
this is my new project this 2018
i got 0.004 btc and i just injected it to a trading site
so here's my strategy please help me decide Smiley
1. invest it in 1 altcoin (short term/long term)
2. putting  your eggs in different baskets
which means i will divide my 0.004 and buy at least 3 alt coin (short term/long term)

what do you think?
It's possible for you to convert that into 0.1 but there are a few things to keep in mind. One is to be careful about the exchange you're dealing with, other will be the altcoins you'd be coming across. Beware of not to get a panic attack by seeing a fall in the values of the altcoin, patience is a vital part of trading. You can invest some more for a better deal, if possible otherwise your goal can still be accomplished, but it would just take some more time. Again be careful about the altcoins you'd be dealing with.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: January 02, 2018, 07:15:15 PM
Ripple, obviously. Its the underdog which has remained in the house for far too long, its time for it to be unleashed. The markets are proving to be in support of ripple than in support of bitcoin. Bitcoin is struggling badly in the markets.More output is there than input and vice-versa for ripple. So ripple ,go for it now,a few months later when you turn your head back, you'll find yourself rich.
791  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to survive on crypto while pursuing MS in the US or Germany? on: December 31, 2017, 08:27:19 PM
Will I be able to cash out and at the very least support my livelihood if I pursue Master's degree in countries like USA, Germany or Australia? I dont want to do odd jobs, only dedicate my time to studies and maybe trade a little when I need to make cash.

How much savings do you reckon is needed to survive for the 2 year course as a student? Will cashing out and such be problems being a foreigner?
Entirely on your own  it would really really hard for you to depend upon crypto if you're new to this and you don't have any initial investment investment then you'll have to find an alternative. And studying in the US for 2 years you'd need money for your education, your stay, your livelihood expenses, other expenses. Better borrow an education loan. You'd an yearly requirement of 45000$, trust me.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Colx is better than Monero and Iota.... and extremely cheap today on: December 31, 2017, 07:38:16 PM
So Colx combines the best of Verge/Monero and Iota/Raiblocks...for still being extremely cheap.

I feel like the people must have felt who got in Neo and Litecoin when they were still cheap. When Colx gets to $1 its at the market cap of Verge. When Colx gets to $2 its at the market cap of Monero. When Colx gets to $3 its at the market cap of Iota but if it combines all 3 it will go to $6 and be at $20bn market cap .

Am I just completely wrong for going almost all in, will lose all my money, or am I a genious? Anyone else sooo excited for 2018?!
Verge is so shit, monero on the other hand is lit. I'm telling you I have never heard of colx before you mentioned it. The facts you mention do seem interesting, so would definitely do my own due diligence on it. The market cap going billions is something not all  coins are able to achieve but some are exceptions. Except for XVG others are fine so I'm doubtful on the statement of yours as XVG has gained fame due to McAfee and not on its own, so will colx be the same where the team is shit but some famous person makes it famous which looks really scammy.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I buy tether with usd wire? on: December 31, 2017, 06:55:47 PM
You can deposit bitcoin or any crypto in an  exchange and then convert it to tether. But beware tether belongs to bitfinex exchange and they were hacked and they even deducted users money from their exchange even though it was the exchange's fault. And usdt seems to be scammy sort of thing, so do be careful when you trade. Better trade trustworthy crypto like monero or something.
794  Economy / Economics / Re: what benefits you've got from bitcoin in 2017 on: December 31, 2017, 06:40:07 PM
year is almost changed, what have you got from bitcoin this year (2017), I personally benefited a lot from this crypto currency, I am an unemployed because in my country difficult to get a job, I really helped by the bitcoin, I can give a little money to my parents and it makes me happy to help the family economy Smiley , and my hope in the next year I hope to be better in doing all the tasks and hope to be able to work in the real world, what about you? and what motivation mu for the year to come?
Your English mutilates me. Bitcoin is a currency which you benefitted from due to rise in the value. So understand that first. Well crypto has benefited literally all the users who have been using it, due to the rise in the value of bitcoin which led to the rise in the value of other cryptos. So that's the main point here, other one would be forks throwing out free money to people.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin ? which one will be the best to invest in 2018? on: December 31, 2017, 06:12:59 PM
As the year 2018 has been speculates to be the year of altcoins will it be better to invest into bitcoin or altcoins ? Which one will give more return in both short term as well as long term ? I am bit puzzled whether to go for well established bitcoin , Litecoin, ethreum or Ripple, Dodge coin, Dash.
Obviously it's altcoins that'll give you more return. Bitcoin is just a currency that you use as your medium to trade with various altcoins. Trading altcoins has its own limitations so beware of it. To add to your list, I'd suggest you, XLM, XEM, POWR, XVG. These coins have been pumped quite frequently so there's a good for it to get pumped again.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HARD FORKS] Updated List of Bitcoin Splits on: December 31, 2017, 03:38:04 PM
Wow..I didn't even know these many forks have taken place this month. The only use of it is that users would get informed of the forks that have took place. So you get free money for this, and am I the only one who literally has lost all his hopes in the bitcoin forks as most of them have turned to be rather useless. I don't find any use to its cause. Saddening reality check Cry.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: question on long term prices on: December 31, 2017, 02:58:37 PM
Hi, I am new to all this, but help me understand this. If there is a crypto coin that is very useful and has functional value, not just speculative, say it becomes very expensive. What is to stop someone from just creating their own coin that is the almost identical to it, and using it instead, so high prices are not paid for the other coin? How can all these coins maintain high values, when people can just create as many new coins as they want?
You are totally misunderstood here. Market forces determine the prices of any coin. But sometimes shit coins also get pumped due to pump and dump groups. You can copy any coin and forge into your own how many ever times unless and until someone patents which is something that is not going to happen. High prices for any coin is only because of the achievements of the developer team, the specialty and uniqueness of a coin. We saw ripple finally going up after years and years worth of patience.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I conducted a survey Crypto vs Gold investment on: December 31, 2017, 11:24:47 AM
That 14% you got there who told that they will invest in crypto because of crypto getting mainstream and popular this year. Other wise almost there would be a difference of atleast 1 person is every ten people would be knowing crypto. Gold will continue to dominate for decades and after it gets extinct in the mines, the demand for it may increase even more which would question the demand of crypto at some point. There is a lot to question when it comes to crypto and we the users itself still remain unanswered.
799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why did I lose on trade ?? on: December 30, 2017, 09:59:18 PM
Hello I don’t understand I bought for 4000 Eur one hour ago of Ethereum when it was going up, it stayed around the 10-20%, it started to decrease 5 minutes ago so I sold it and now cex.io just gave me 3500eur for it... wtf... Huh
The %came from me watching livecoinwatch.. Cex.io doesn’t have the accurate price ??
Obviously exchanges have different prices, some places it may be higher, some it may be lower. So you have made a mistake there. If you're upset about your loss, then don't worry, trading can fetch you a hell lot of profits. And who the fuck asked you to panic sell? One of the biggest traits seen in inexperienced traders. Foolishness paved the way for your loss.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can xrp overtake btc in CMC on: December 30, 2017, 09:09:38 PM
ripple is now at 100B do you think it can overtake bitcoin once Coinbase lists xrp?
It's possible, with the amount of supply that Ripple has, imagine it's market capital of it hits 100$,let thousand dollars alone. It's quite astonishing that  a centralized currency is breaking the records while bitcoin is struggling to recover, probably now is not the time for bitcoin investment. Ripple has emerged out of nowhere now, worth my investment, like always  Cool.
