Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For this reason, wouldn't ETH be the future of all crypto?
|

I used to have the same idea but not anymore. The sad truth is that shit projects will remain there and people will continue to invest and buy things that they know nothing about because a random ico rating site gave a high score for that coin or their favorite youtuber spoke about it. so when you say "figure out and simply not use them" I honestly don't know what you're talking about because unless people get educated, they'll keep using them.
I think that this will be solved by time. I think that in my first year of crypto I didn't really know what I was doing with it, but now being here almost six years, I have created some gut feeling where I can see projects that actually create value to the customer in some sense. My opinion in crypto is to have all kinds of it, those that inflate, deflate, are centralized, and decentralized, etc... I guess it is another "time will tell" situation

Economy / Trading Discussion / For this reason, wouldn't ETH be the future of all crypto?
|

Hi, first time I create a thread myself on BitcoinTalk!
I wanted to bring into the discussion if there are many good projects under the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 tokens) that have a potential for the future, wouldn't ETH become super important since it is what you pay as a transaction fee.
I know there are many shit-projects under the Ethereum blockchain, but I am not worried about those, because we (the users of crypto) will figure that out and simply not use them. But every now and then a great project arises that can give a lot of value to making solutions in the world. Just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i quit on joining bounty campaign?

Its part of the experience as a bounty hunter. In my case, I have not been paid in half of the bounties I joined especially when I was new and joined any campaigns I find. But now im more particular in joining bounties and look deeply to the project and the team running it.
I feel like you should always join bounties where you think the project is solid. Dont join random bounties, it will only lose you time

Other / Politics & Society / Re: shouldn't we plant billions of trees now? because

I don't see why planting many trees would not help, so I am in favor of stopping unnecessary deforestation. But it won't stop because demand is increasing. Why is demand increasing? Who needs wood, well, humans...
So would you agree that if the human population would not increase/not decrease/decrease it would help oxygen levels to rise through trees? And don't forget, even if we plant trees and the human population continues to increase, humans will simply consume the newly produced oxygen.
So, I think planting trees will help, but it is just putting a tiny blister on a big wound. Let me know if you agree or disagree

To be safe, never use leverage or margin trading. Just stick to the traditional way of trading.
However, if you are really interested in this topic, make sure to read at least 5 books about it to know but also understand the risks of this. Not saying it is bad, but for new people thinking it is quick easy money, that is not the case

Economy / Economics / Re: My challenge to bitcoin
|
on: July 09, 2018, 04:06:21 PM

The idea that a currency should be backed by something comes from the old times. I am not saying it is good or bad but read carefully here. Currencies.
I disapprove that crypto (in most cases) should actually be used as a currency. My opinion and standpoint are that we consider them as stocks of a certain project. So; You think the developers of Bitcoin will make the crypto better? Yes, invest. No, don't invest.
Because if it the simplicity of blockchain technology the TRANSFER of these 'stocks' (cryptocurrencies) is very easy, therefore we can TRANSFER/TRADE these assets with each other.
Think back many years. People traded shells for cows (an example) because someone wanted shells to make certain products and the other person wanted a cow. A cow has never been backed by gold and neither are shells. The latter way of making transactions makes more sense to me than using a currency that is also highly dependent on the performance of your country/union.

Interesting question and in my opinion yes. Whether it is in 10 years or in 1000 years, we will become a multi-planetary species. This means a lot more economic growth

That is also why you join 1 project or maybe 2 at the time, without going blindly promoting it. Make sure it is a good project and it has already value. People that join these bounties are not even reading their white papers.
Its truly a shame!!!! Make sure to be informed and you will be spotting scams all the time, but the time you dont, you win BIG!
