Tshaw024: have you subpoena'd domains by proxy LLC and Cloudflare yet? They should have user IP access logs, and crucially, payment method details. Both firms on icann whois of vircurex.com. lawyers in the UK charge GBP 5000 for submitting Norwich Pharmacal orders, the UK equivalent to a subpoena. I'd be up for kicking in a few hundred bucks in support of further information disclosure from above named.

I bought 199 LTC back in 2013, using vircurex.com. It's still stuck there, with repayments lower than the fees for transferring out. I think it's now reasonable to try and formalise the insolvency of vircurex.com. I am looking to spread the cost of step 1: finding out who actually registered the domain name, and rented server space.

I propose to do this by applying for a Norwich Pharmacal order against Domains by Proxy (an Arizona registered LLC and subsidiary of GoDaddy), and Cloudflare (a Delaware registered webhost). These are the two firms listed on the ICANN WHOIS entry for vircurex.com.

Norwich Pharmacal orders may be granted by a UK High Court (I'm a UK resident/ national and was when I bought the LTC, so that works), when a harm has occurred (like losing control of my 199 LTC), and I don't know who did it, but do know somebody who might (ICANN WHOIS to Domains by Proxy to Cloudflare). Having read the terms and conditions of both Domains by Proxy and Cloudflare, they have data, they do cough it up in response to non-US court orders.

If anyone reading this in the US has managed to subpoena GoDaddy and Cloudflare for IP addresses, user e-mail addresses, payment methods and details, etc. please share. Then we can get on with part 2, which is getting vircurex.com declared bankrupt, and appointing an insolvency practitioner. 

Separately, I've applied for PACER (public access to court electronic records) access in order to check US court records for any suits filed against vircurex.com which might have involved a subpoena. If anyone else has done that, please can they share the results in the comments?

PS: to those tempted to remind me that vircurex.com's website says it is incorporated in Belize. Without a publicly verifiable company number, this is just words. Moreover, the text was added in the middle of 2014 so doesn't apply to accounts opened in 2013 (mine) where there's been no activity since.
