If you truly are trying to understand, why are you posting before even checking how things actually work? The topic has been discussed many times before, it is not kept secret, and you could have easily found answers to your questions before posting uninformed FUD.

Snapshots need to be approved by the network in order to be valid, they are first proposed and then enforced after consensus is reached, it is indeed decentralized. They work pretty much like hard forks for blockchain-based coins (regarding consensus).

Wrong, blockchain and Tangle technologies are about enforcing a consensus. The snapshot that enables "Brad" back at HQ to "mess with your balance" is first proposed to and then approved by all the network nodes, they obviously can't just take your tokens deliberately.
It would be the same as proposing a fork with different balances in a blockchain-based coin: if the network approves it, it becomes law and it is the code working as intended.

As someone told you already, do not invest into something you don't even take the time to study and understand (and if you don't get the distributed consensus principle, you are also not getting how any other coin works).

Anche perchè per inciso tutta la mia conoscenza in materia deriva da approfondimenti su materiale liberamente disponibile a tutti (e linkato in questo stesso thread tra l'altro, non serve nemmeno ricercare su Google), condivido e rispondo volentieri comunque a chi cortesemente domanda, ma se uno invece arriva qui e pretende di essere convinto con "una convinzione davvero convincente", come se facesse un piacere a me, onestamente può benissimo rimanere nella sua ignoranza.

Rispondo ad altri e non alla tua domanda perchè se scorri indietro nella discussione e se consulti le risorse linkate in OP trovi già risposta, non ho nè tempo da perdere a rispondere cinque volte alla stessa domanda, e nemmeno onestamente ho interesse a convincere nessuno, sono solo un membro della community anche io (già più volte ripetuto anche questo), quello che faccio lo faccio esclusivamente su cortese richiesta di altri, non sono in nessun modo affiliato al team di sviluppo o alla moneta, per quanto mi riguarda puoi benissimo investire in altro.

E' Videodrome che ha mosso un'accusa e quindi è lui che deve motivarla portando argomentazioni e prove a sostegno di essa, cosa che non ha fatto, non è mica premura dei dev dover sfatare qualsiasi affermazione fatta da terzi e immotivata (e comunque se scorri ho postato tutti i link relativi alla discussione ufficiale).

sono io l'amministratore del canale Telegram italiano, e non ho mai cancellato un singolo messaggio (a parte ref link OT a scam e un paio di casi estremi in cui si è degenerato in pesanti offese personali), mi viene anzi spesso chiesto di adottare moderazione più stretta, cosa che mi rifiuto di fare in un canale di crypto che dovrebbe ispirarsi a ben altri ideali di libertà

Basta vedere lo storico dei messaggi e dei toni anche solo in questo thread di chi ha scritto quel post per capire quanto sia affidabile, una volta confrontato con la realtà dei fatti.

Giustamente comunque siamo in un forum di crittovalute, do not trust, verify: ti invito a unirti al canale italiano su telegram di iota con più di 900 membri o al canale Slack ufficiale con 30000 membri e chiedere a loro se qualcuno è mai stato ricattato per accedere ai propri fondi.

Non è mai successo niente di simile, è stato chiesto (forse ti riferisci a ciò) una manciata di volte alla comunitá di contribuire alla crescita di IOTA, in questi termini:
- una volta chiedendo donazioni che integrassero i ricavati della ICO e fondi personali dei dev per la costituzione della Foundation, che è una no profit registrata in Germania e quindi con fondi vincolati e spendibili solo per il progetto
- un paio di volte chiedendo di allocare fondi da vendere a prezzo fisso a partner importanti, ripeto comunque vendendo e non donando e a prezzi di mercato, quindi in profitro

Queste due circostanze non hanno nulla a che fare con il riscatto dei token (come ovvio d'altronde, è una tecnologia decentralizzata e tutti gli update sono sempre gratuiti e pubblici), e in tutte le occasioni i fondi raccolti provengono in grande maggioranza non da poveri piccoli investitori vessati, ma da un gruppo di grossi holder che lavorano a stretto contatto con i dev e investono parte dei loro token per la crescita dell'ecosistema, in totale libertà e volontarietà.

Hey everybody! Since there is much uncertainty and doubts in here regarding ADK and AidosMarket, I want to describe my experience with the coin and the exchange so far, hopefully to clear some things up and answer some questions by other users.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Aidos, I am just an investor giving a feedback, do your own research and invest at your risk, past events do not guarantee similar future outcomes. Also, I am not particularly tech-savy in terms of code etc., so I am not able and won't discuss techincal aspects of ADK & feud with IOTA, I will just write what I experienced as a regular user.

Regarding AidosMarket:

- I was able to deposit BTC
- I was able to purchase ADK with BTC using the exchange
- I was able to sell ADK back to BTC
- I was able to withdraw BTC (and received them on my wallet)
- My stake was >10 BTC (in order to put things in perspective, one thing is if everything goes smoothly with 50$ at stake, with 60k+$ it is another thing)

Regarding ADK as a project:

- the founder Ricardo Badoer (aka donrico) so far managed to deliver what he promised and he is very open and honest in terms of communicating with the community (what has not been delivered is what is still work in progress for now, but that was made clear)
