Careful, this guy will make you register for all these different websites and what he doesn't tell you is after making you wait 2 hours after sending in your payment, you then have to print off and fill out a 2 page document, provide a scan of your ID, a picture with you holding your ID, and then scan in a utility bill. Then once you send this I am guessing you will have to wait another 2 hours at least for them to verify everything.

I could still luckily cancel the trade but beware of this guy as he doesn't really seem to know how some of his transactions work and how long they will take and informed me of none of this before I sent my money. Very negative experience and wasted a lot of time.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC for PayPal USD or CAD (looking for up to ~$500) on: March 03, 2015, 08:25:08 PM
I have tried that before but I don't believe there is a way to PM other than during a trade. So I suppose the only way would be for me to set a trade for a small amount so I could talk to the other user on local bitcoins.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB BTC for PayPal USD or CAD $60 - $500 on: March 03, 2015, 08:05:29 PM
UPDATE:

Looking for a minimum of $60 worth of BTC for my PayPal USD or CAD. Can use an escrow if needed and can also prove I am 'oldmarsh' on local bitcoins https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/oldmarsh/ by making a trade offer and I will write some unique that you provide in the posting and send you the link for the post.

-----------------------

Hi, I am looking to purchase up to $500USD worth from PayPal for BTC. Willing to pay a decent premium over the exchange.

I have done several trades on localbitcoins and my profile oldmarsh can be seen here: https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/oldmarsh/
All my feedback is positive and a recent one mentions it was a PayPal trade for a similar amount I am asking about. I can't find a seller accepting PayPal on localbitcoins atm so that is why I am posting here.

PM or post here how much you are willing to trade and the % premium you would like. Thanks and am trying to get this done as soon as possible.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coins must be judged by VOLUME not marketcap on: August 09, 2014, 06:42:22 PM
But the shills for the pump-and-dump coins don't like it when you bring up volume. Especially since they love to scream about how Litecoin is dead/dying, yet it consistently does 10x the daily volume of the pump-and-dumps.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Nxt is a scam and I have PROOF on: July 30, 2014, 12:18:20 PM
How irrelevant is NXT? Dogecoin, a dying coin that was made as a joke, with a picture of doge meme as it's logo has over double the trade volume of NXT.

And LTC, a coin that is supposedly dying, is doing 17x more trade volume than NXT.

NXT is irrelevant.

Its irrelevant to me, I rode a way from 20mil to 80mil and maybe I will ride it again.

I just like to confront them since they tend to spam every damn thread on this forum with how innovative they are while in reality its all taken from other coins.

It's like a cult and trying to wake them up from it actually has the opposite effect of only reaffirming their delusions. But if your posts help stop a few noobs from drinking the kool-aid, cheers to you.

DRK/BTC down to < 0.005 at the beginning of September '14

Bookmark and remember to quote this shit in two month's time.

Posted this a few weeks ago but only got flamed by DRK bag-holders and was told it was not even possible. But it looks to be more and more a possibility each day. So stop calling anyone who hasn't drunk the DRK kool-aid a troll. Those that bought near the peak can only be helped by posts like this. Of course, most will inevitably hold all the way until zero, but hopefully they will remember this when the next hypecoin comes around and everyone in the cult is dismissing anyone who doesn't praise the coin as a troll.

Beware of the hypecoin cult. It will pull you in and everyone will tell you to keep believing and not lose faith, while you lose all your money.

This got me really curious. Are they adding some sort of funny easter eggs on every single whitepaper out there? would be interesting to see. Please keep us updated.

I wouldn't call malware a 'funny easter egg,' lol.

But OP is likely trolling or suffering from amphetamine psychosis from taking too much of his Adderall. Some of you guys are baited so easily, and without any hard evidence too. It's pretty sad, really.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NFO] Ethereum = Scam on: July 27, 2014, 11:43:36 AM
Supposedly any BTC the founders put in they get back but keep the Ether.

Wow.  I wonder if investors know this...  What a sham.

–]vbuterinFounder
You mean if I had sent 100 BTC in then I would get 100 BTC out and also keep 200000 ETH, so a 2x return? We are certainly not doing a deal of that sort.
Additionally, note that we do not "own" the BTC that goes into the ether sale. Those BTC are held by a GmbH (German for "limited liability company") owned by a Swiss non-profit Stiftung (foundation) registered and regulated by the Canton of Zug; it is illegal for us to use those funds for personal benefit (with obvious exceptions like salary).

Because you know that if you ask a scammer if they are scamming they are going to be completely honest with you and reveal that indeed it is all one big scam. Not saying that's what's going on here, just that if you suspect someone is scamming, asking that person if they are scamming isn't going to get you anywhere.

BTW, in regard to that last line, when has the fact that something is illegal ever stopped criminals from doing it?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How we crypto-geeks get it wrong & the reality of altcoin success. on: July 25, 2014, 12:18:41 PM
I think you are looking at this the wrong way because most altcoins aren't actually striving for mass user adoption and to build a lasting currency, they are largely just created as pump-and-dump schemes to make people money (either the devs or some traders). And the large majority of people who trade altcoins do it for profit and don't ever actually use the coin (not that you could if you wanted to for many coins anyway). I know when I was trading/mining alts I probably had over 20 different wallets over that period of time and never made any transactions other than sending coins to and from exchanges or mining pools. So alt traders make their money from people who get tricked into believing a certain altcoin was made for any other reason than to make these people money.

I've seen the altcoin scene quickly devolve since the release of Dogecoin at the end of 2013. The release of new gimmicky coins started to really pick up around that point and then went into full force in early 2014. And it is almost now 100% about creating the next pump-and-dump that will make you a profit. Kind of sad really as people trying to launch a legitimate coin, like it seems you might be trying to do, just get drowned out by all the scamcoins.
