RandomX Mining Charity Fee was removed in the latest versions. So now you get a 200% instead 190%
Charity is still in place with the requirement for masternodes to sponsor an orphan each. This is enforced by a oracle smart contract connected to the Charity API.

** Sanctuary and Chainlocks Bulletin for block 187,000 **
Now that RandomX is stable and our difficulty has surpassed 1.0, we are planning to enable Chain Locks. This is an exciting moment for Biblepay.
Realize that we are one of the few coins that exist that have chainlocks in Production (Other than Dash, who created it).
And, I believe we are the first Bitcoin based coin to have RandomX.
In preparation for this, anyone who has a sanctuary, could you please ensure it is up and running? As, once we enable Chain Locks, we move into strict mode meaning the Sanctuaries will be POSE banned and not paid if they do not respond to quorum requests. Obviously we want to have a smooth cutover.
Lets shoot for block 187,000.
Update:
We have enabled Spork 17 (Deterministic sanctuary quorums) at block 187,000.
All Sancs seem to be up and none have PoSE score. I wonder if there is some way to spread these great adoptions (Chainlocks and RandomX) from the PR point of view, to improve Biblepay's project exposure. I don't think there are many coins out there with this level of innovation. Also, it would be a good hit if our exchanges know about us enabling chainlocks and reduce the number of deposit confirmations. Many investors in exchanges score coins better if they see lower confirmation numbers.

2) On the XMRig, yes, we plan on pulling in the latest changes as time permits. But we are not using an extremely old version, its only about 60 days old now. But yes, if we can draft in more devs into this project those things will be more timely. I don't mind doing it occasionally, the non-mission-critical changes are just competing with new gospel features, you see (but of course, if its a security update we will do it right away for example). Im sure you can understand that this week for instance Im trying to release an hourly prize in the new pool for RX miners who answer gospel quiz'es, etc.
I will check this out and come back to you in case I find some hard to solve conflicts Sounds good. Yes lets discuss this soon as I have to explain something about their machine language commits. I just did a quick merge with a few conflicts https://github.com/biblepay/xmrig/pull/2Anyway I sent you a couple comments by email for you to review, in case I didn't resolve them properly.

*** 24 HOUR SALE ON GIFT CARDS BOUGHT WITH BIBLEPAY - 20 % OFF! ***
You can buy any gift card (WITH BIBLEPAY) - that can normally be purchased with DASH on bitrefill.com thanks to our in-wallet feature: DashPay. To get your gift card today for 20% off (for example, walmart, amazon, Kroger) (which allows you to SPEND BIBLEPAY), take advantage of this sale by going to Bitrefill.com: See instructions here: https://wiki.biblepay.org/DashPay_RPCTo know that you are getting a good deal you can run the dashpay command in the RPC in "TEST MODE" first, by ending the command with zero for example: dashpay bitrefill_dash_address dash_amount 0 <enter> This shows that today, even though our exchange rate is .0000000145 satoshi, your purchasing power is as if our price is currently .000000020 satoshi (for the next 24 hours)! To confirm this: see the line that says BBP/USD Price: .0001788105 (this is 20 satoshi). Normally, this same value would be at (8900 * .0000000145 = .0001335 today!) Why are we doing this: We are inviting people to buy up the excess biblepay on SouthExchange and spend it on gift cards! Wow!! bought a 10€ App Store gift card (I usually spend 5€/month in Clash of Clans game goodies) and got charged 0.133 DASH = 84000 BBP. It's an amazing experience because bitrefill.com has improved hugely their catalog for Spain since the last time I visited it. And quite easy to execute.

I contacted EvoNodes to see how much listing will cost. They offer shared MN hosting (like Mint Nodes before they closed). Shared MN may be attractive to investors that don't quite have 4.5M to make a sanctuary.
The want $250 USD for listing. That is about 1.8M BBP at current prices.
I received a $250 refund from SatoshiCoin hosting platform as they were discontinuing the MN hosting business too. So I will put those $250 myself from that refund. Please contact me in discord to coordinate this arrangement (if you believe EvoNodes is a good oportunity, if not, we can set those $250 aside for a better MN hosting provider we may find in the future).

We have applied for Instaswap service, a BTC/Alt/Fiat bridge to purchase BBP. https://instaswap.io/Let's hope we can integrate with this service from our website and from QT and mobile wallets.

Just as a non-related test I rebooted the wallet and measured the governance sync time - and it was only about 30 seconds total (to reach mnsync status 999), and it consumed about 75k of bandwidth!
This is great, and I feel we must give credit where credit is due - the deterministic sancs are behaving much better than the old hybrid branch.
Ill go as far as saying, I think we got very unlucky when we picked the hybrid version. We didn't have a horrible time with PODC 1.0 when we used the September 2017 branch of Dash. But we had a horrendous time throughout most of 2019 with the hybrid branch.
Lets look towards a bright future with DM, concerning reliability (and with chainlocks, and we are looking forward to a bright fork-free future also!).
There has been a big improvement in terms of memory, bandwidth and CPU footprint As usual thanks to your efforts and constance. Congratulations Rob, and happy new year to all the Biblepay community! Let's hope 2020 brings the fruits of all the innovation in this project.

New iOS mobile wallet version
Ready in app store
- added new tithe feature screen - updated protocol number - fix message header processing for qsendrecsigs
|
|
|
Wasn't this supposed to be a feature back when the Proof of Giving (PoG) GSC was active? Now that PoG is gone, what is the relevant use case for the feature today?
It's not the GSC Tithe feature, but just a list of charities (downloaded from biblepay.org API) you can send tithes to (manually) BTW, I just sent the iOS version to App Store, it will take like 24/48h to be approved.

It seems SouthXchange added a 9th decimal to all its BTC markets.
So we can now trade BBP with a finer grain spread.

you're reaching a conclusion purely on opinion.
December traditionally is a time to sell for end of year. buying holiday gifts, minimizing capital gains, etc
It has been a very bad season for all alts in general, even for some of the more stablished ones like Dash, ETH or PiVX. Let's pray for Biblepay so we all obtain the necessary inspiration and strength to make this humble, but great project, be fruitful.

Seems so... I have the same in all my nodes.
