I didn't know this show existed but I'll definitely check it out. Between this and Silicon Valley taking on crypto, it's fun to see how the topic is even handled in mainstream entertainment.
Are there other crypto-focused shows that most probably wouldn't know about? Whether it's American-produced or foreign...

Happy birthday!
My 5th is coming up, though I haven't posted much as of late. Even back in 2013, this place was a treasure trove of knowledge for a complete newbie such as myself. I'm always happy to see that it's still an authority with quality posts!

I haven't posted on these forums too much as of late but thought it'd be important to help celebrate. I've only been in the space for half of Bitcoin's existence (since Nov 2013) but it's taken me places I never thought would be feasible. There's been some great highs and some meh lows but overall, I'm just thankful for what Satoshi Nakamoto contributed to the world!

"Never Let Me Go" is a little known movie that really impressed me. It is best watched without prior knowledge.
Very good flick indeed... I'd recommend it! Where have you been all year? Was wondering where you disappeared to. [/quote] Haha, it's been a crazy, crazy year! Beyond selling all of my stuff, I've moved from Canada to the UK and am doing a masters degree. Plus, I traveled a lot right before that, so I didn't have much time to be online. Good to see some familiar faces!

I'd love to see sources for your last two stories if you have some!
I wouldn't call the stories "funny", but they do make for fun reading. Too bad they're impossible to duplicate now.

The Wolf of Wall Street try watching the uncensored version its bloody brilliant one of my best recommendation being a movies lover worth a watch !!! So I finally bought the movie and watched it. It wasn't too bad, but it wouldn't have to be 3 hours of screenplay. Also, in my opinion all the nudity and drugs were a bit over the top. Had they shot all of the scenes in the original book, the film would've easily been 4+ hours. And there's even more drugs and whatnot in the book... I feel like they might've toned it down a little if anything.

(Living in a major city)
I'd tell my girlfriend to stay put in our apartment and to make sure we have a lot of water reserves (before it's too late?). I myself would run outside with a few empty backpacks and head to the nearest grocery store (we have 4 of them within a .5 miles of our apartment). From there, I'd grab as much food as possible. I'd like to say that I'd pick stuff that can last then longest, but I probably wouldn't have the time to logically pick out the "best" stuff.
I'd then run back home and depending on the amount of time left: 1. Go back down and pick up more food and supplies (if there's time) 2. Barricade the front door (which really is the only access point to our apartment. We have no fire escape from the balcony and no neighbors can come on our balcony without seriously risking their own asses.
From there... Play monopoly?

I think I should re-watch Wolf of Wall Street...
Otherwise, I went to see Need for Speed and it was exactly what I thought it would be: Predictable and stupid, but fun nonetheless. The car scenes are pretty amazing since they had zero CGI.

join to this thread i love movies, especially hollywood movie, japan & korean movie, and thai movie too (especially horror genre) I just figured it'd be fun to start a thread to recommend movies to one another. With that said, feel free to share the good (and bad) stuff you've seen lately and if you want a recommendation, ask away!
As for me, I watched Prisoners recently and was pleasantly surprised. It's a very heavy film, but both Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal were amazing in their performances. Very well-written script, too.
Have at it!
prisoner's actor are amazing, agree with you. jackman and jake performance are exceptional but some of my friends don't like the ending, hmm.. Ask your friends how they would've ended it. I thought it ended exactly where it should have. After Jackman would be found, he'd simply be sent to prison.. Doesn't make for a great ending. As it stands, it's a tad ambiguous, but still.

Spoiler alertDon't read if you haven't finished the series Would you like to see a new season of Breaking Bad? I was thinking of creating a petition on change.org for AMC to start a new season, I don't like the way the finale ended, I put my soul into the show and the finale... damn, I couldn't sleep for days after the last episode, why u do dis AMC?? just film a new season and make Walter survive the shot and put him in a hospital so we can see his escape and progress to a meth manufacturer once again also the way he lost his family altough he did everything of that for them sucks.. It's still the best show I ever watched! But I want a new season where we get to see Walter succeed If you couldn't sleep for days after the ending i would say that qualifies for a good ending. Why ruin someting flawless? I thought the ending was perfect, and they did a good job on ending it before it got stale, no need to revive Walter and milk the show Very much agreed. No need to go back. And they won't... Besides, there's a spinoff coming up!

Watched Gravity and Grown Ups 2 yesterday. Thought Gravity was disappointingly average. I'm sure it's a much better experience in the cinema, but there's still not much of a story there. Don't really need to say anything about Grown Ups 2. ha.
Yeah, Grown Ups 2... The first one was actually kind of enjoyable since you felt like you were with them making the movie. Very forgettable but still very watchable. The sequel. Holy shit. I barely made it through.
