1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Siacoin on: April 06, 2018, 09:45:46 AM

siacoin. yeah. got 2 asics last week.

well, as they say it, in the end it's all about the user experience.

to be able to use the fastest coin in the world, one first has to download data for 2 days.

no exchange is useable (wallet 'maintenance'. they been maintaining their wallet for days now. i imagine maintaining the wallet is a complex operation. like periodic technical check-up on a nuke sub, or smth. many million work-man-hours.

there is no android wallet available. in order to actually buy and sell stuff one has to get his computer with him.

below, one can see a happy siacoin user, carrying his siacoin hardware ledger on his shoulder.

yeah.

got 2 a3s for sale.

2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Multiple instances of bmminer possible? on: March 06, 2018, 09:44:09 AM
actually, it would be EXTREMELY USEFUL to be able to run multiple instances, IF you can specify total hashrate percentages for each instance.

example: i want to run 1% hashrate to each of the 10 different pools i'm testing, and the rest 90% on my current 'best' pool.

an interface with sliders that allows you to do just that is probably only a matter of time.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 3M Novec 7100 and antMiner S7/S9 on: March 03, 2018, 12:45:48 PM
this is just an ideea, but i think it's deserving:

one does not need ONE liquid to do the cooling. one can MIX 2 liquids. maybe 3, even.
oils are soluble in oils. the thicker will act as a condenser, in its whole mass, and the lighter, lower boiling point oil, will fractionally distill. then it will condense in the mass of the thicker, heavier oil.

one only needs to pay attention to combustibility and dielectric constant.

other than that, i'm sure we can hack a dyi-in-your-kitchen solution, once all the chemists get their focus on this.

brainstorm away ?

LE: maybe best moved on a topic of its own ? immersion fluid diy cooking ? req for help from fellow chemistry forums ? Wink
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / HASHFLARE BLATANT DISREGARD OF CUSTOMERS on: January 16, 2018, 09:49:07 AM

it's been like that for 2 weeks now.

no support is within reach.

emails are ignored.

tickets are ignored.

phones are not answered (estonia or uk).

all i get is automatic messages whining about being understaffed.

being understaffed is something one DOES. like, ON PURPOSE. if your customers have to wait for 2 weeks to get your attention, hiring 14 times more people would bring that time interval down to one day. being in this line of bussiness, one would expect hashflare to understand simple math like 14 / 14 = 1. but i guess one would have to care for customer experience in order to resort to drastic measures, like adapting your support power to the amount of problems YOU generate.

i bought 10.000 eurros worth of hashrate, expecting to get the service up and running immediately, AS ADVERTISED.

up to now, hashflare owes me 2 weeks of lost mining proffits, and counting.

i advise everyone to hold on to any payment in that general direction. those money are better sitting in a bank account. at least they generate SOME profit there.

who else intends to sue ?
