How is WePower different from SunContract project?
SunContract is focused on building an energy-trading platform that utilises blockchain technology to enable P2P buying and selling electricity between the households. The core focus on the company is the excess solar energy sales from prosumers to consumers. While this is also in WePower's plans, our focus will be on utility size producers. WePower is focused on developing a solution that would allow green energy project developers to pre-sell their energy production and in this way raise capital to develop new projects. These are very different businesses with very different economics. There will not be any location restrictions on the platform. The token sale happened in January. 7 Million tokens were sold and $3.5 million hard cap raised. The token price was set at 0.50 usd per ESZ. There is a total of 10 Million tokens. Our own team tokens (1 million) are locked for 2 years and the company also has 1 million in cold storage locked for 5 years - 1 million tokens were allotted for marketing, partnerships and bounties. |
