Hi all. Does anybody use -cdmrs option? It does not work for me GTX 1070 * 6, Windows 10, driver version: 460.89, PM 5.5c. Config file is the following: #******************************# # Mining options # #******************************#
-nvidia -nvf 2 -minRigSpeed 170
-rmode 2
-logsmaxsize 0
#******************************# # Remote control options # #******************************#
-cdm 2 -cdmport 3333 -cdmpass 334455 -cdmrs
#******************************# # Hardware control options # #******************************#
-hstats 2
-fanmin 30
-tstop 70 -tstart 40
-mcdag 1
-mclock +400,+440,+400,+440,+440,+400 -cclock 1-5:+102,6:+75 -powlim -15
Changes in mclock, cclock and powlim in config file do not detect, so they do not apply

Hi, I was trying to run my old rx580 on the same win machine I am running 3x RX 5700 and it was mining with 8MH/s and it was not stable. Any ideas? thanks!
I Have the same issue 4x RX580's and 2x GTX1070s. All perfectly stable for months then all of a sudden approx. 4pm UK time yesterday, nothing will work. Also went back and took a look if claymore worked...it did not. Is this anything to do with the minor pools trying to go against the bigger ones? I'm hoping someone with more experience can help on this forum. Which OS do you use? I had problems in Win 7. 6 * gtx-1070. After switch to Win 10 all works.

Hi all.
Does anybody have Asus Radeon RX 5700 ROG Strix OC 8GB (ROG-STRIX-RX5700-O8G-GAMING)?
I want to know what is the mining speed and power consumption of this card in PhoenixMiner.
|
|
|
Anybody who uses Win 10, do you have the same problems with hashrate which we have on 1070 under Win 7? May be I just need to switch to Win 10? RAM 8Gb. Will it be enough for Win 10?
|

To @PhoenixMiner! Dear devs. I do not understand what is happening! But, after some time I again have 21Mh per card on Rig with 8 cards ASUS ROX STRIX GTX-1070 8Gb. So instead of 180Mh per 6 cards, I have 127Mh. Windows 7. Both miners PM 5.3b and 5.4c have the same speed. Can you comment that somehow? I asked you before that, but still there is no any comments Just any changes of MC (-mclock) do nothing. Mining speed always like speed with -mclock 0. Please, answer. Do not ignore. Thank you. ---------------- config: #******************************# # Mining options # #******************************# -nvidia -nvf 2 -minRigSpeed 100 -eres 0 -rmode 2 -logsmaxsize 0 #******************************# # Remote control options # #******************************# -cdm 2 -cdmport 3333 -cdmpass xxxxx -cdmrs #******************************# # Hardware control options # #******************************# -hstats 2 -tstop 70 -tstart 40 -mclock +340,+440,+400,+440,+430,+330 -cclock 1:+70,2-6:+102

Dear @PhoenixMiner, Is it possible to detect which card initiates error (for example error 999) and somehow log this info? It will help to setup overclocking parameters of cards if I will know which one has initiated a problem. Now log when error is thrown looks like the following 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU6 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:456 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps6 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps4 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU4 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:309 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps1 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps2 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU1 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:456 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps3 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: gps5 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:258 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU2 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:456 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU3 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:456 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.526: GPU5 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:456 : unknown error (999) 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU5 GPU5 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU2 GPU2 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU3 GPU3 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU1 GPU1 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU4 GPU4 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.558: GPU6 GPU6 search error: unknown error 2020.12.19:19:38:29.573: wdog Fatal error detected. Hello, No workaround yet for Nvidia 1070? from 32-33 the speed dropped to 25-26. I remember years ago when we started with this mining it was an issue for AMD cards but still RX 580 performance is ~ 30-31, way better than Nvidia . Thanks Try to set parameter -eres 1 if will not work, then -eres 0 It helped for me. Look at my messages before in this thread I try this, not help me. I have always 29,8MH on gtx 1070, before I have 32MH, Your case is not my one. And it is because calculating becames more complicated. PM developers said that it is a problem of NVidia cards. A year ago or about that I also had 192Mh on 6 cards. MC was +640, PL was 64%, CC was +102 and it costed 750W. But beginning from about one year ago (may be less) I have time to time decreasing of hashrate and memory overclocking beginning from some values does not increase hashrate. For example now I use for some cards MC +450, but if I will use +640, nothing will bw changed. Moreover, hashrate can be less then if I use +450. So now I have stable 180Mh on 6 cards. And now I use PL 100%, also for one card CC was decreased to +70 (more bigger values does not increase hashrate). And now 180Mh costs me 1000W. Problem that I was talk about is that MC changes does nothing at all. So with my current settings of CC and PL I had 127Mh on 6 cards. When I used "-eres 0" (now I use "-eres 1", which also works good) my hashrate was back to 180Mh and hashrate again depends on MC values. So we are talking about different problems.

Hi All. Some days I have the following problem.
All my cards ignore any values of memory clock (MC) overckloking (CC and PL changes work correct). All the time I use MSI AB. I tried to use PM overclocking params, but result is the same.
My mining speed has decreased from 180 to 128. Please help!
-------------------------- 6 * ROG STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING, Win 7 Home Extended, 8GB RAM
PM 5.3b with the following config: -nvidia -cdm 2 -cdmport 3333 -cdmpass xxxxxxx -minRigSpeed 120 -rmode 2 -tstop 70 -tstart 40 -logsmaxsize 0 -nvf 2 -hstats 2
I have found a workaroud in other forums. Using -eres 0 fixes the problem! I have gtx 1070 and not working, use afterburner and increase memory clock don't increase mining speed. My updated config is the following: -nvidia -cdm 2 -cdmport 3333 -cdmpass xxxxxxx -minRigSpeed 170 -rmode 2 -tstop 70 -tstart 40 -logsmaxsize 0 -nvf 2 -hstats 2 -eres 0 -powlim -15 -cclock 1:+70,2-6:+102 -mclock +340,+400,+350,+450,+350,+350
In AB I reseted to default all values and use AB only to control fan speed with manually defined curve (unfortunatelly PM does not provide that functionality), PL, CC and MC are defined in PM config. Try to do the same. Also (not sure you need it) I increased swap file from 65536Mb to 131072Mb. Pay attention on eres parameter.

Dear @PhoenixMiner developers, there are two problems.
1. Problem with hashrate in PM on 1070 with 8GB under Windows 7. I hope you are already know about that. Memory overclocking do not change hashrate. Are you going to fix it?
2. Config file reload does not apply changes in two cases: - if -mclock is removed\commented in config - if -mclock was set to 0 (-mclock 0) So there is not a way to reset -mclock to 0 on the fly.

Anybody has played with overclocking settings using MSAB and provided by PM? I'm interesting in GTX1070. Can I use the same parameters from MSAB in PM overcrocking congif or they will be other ones?

Hi @PhoenixMiner,
Which driver version you are recommend to use for GTX1080 on Windows 7?
We don't test on Windows 7 anymore but probably older driver will be better as neither 1080 nor Windows 7 are spring chickens One thing to be aware of is that some users have reported low speed (like 50% lower than normal) with Nvidia cards on Windows 7, which can only be fixed by increasing the physical RAM (i.e. the DIMM module(s) on the motherboard!) to at least 8 GB. Strangely enough, increasing the page file size does not help - apparently some kind of driver bug. There is no such problem on Windows 10. Thanks and I'm sorry. I wanted to as about drivers for GTX1070 on Win 7. I have 8GB physical RAM (2 * 4GB DIMM). But basing on your answer I think it does not matter in acase of Win 7 if I use 1070 or 1080. I have problem that my mining speed decreased and decreased each time. Only power limit increasing fixes it, but it costs additional electricity. If I will use win 10 I will not have these problems? Or may be it will be better to use HIVE OS (If in any case I should install other OS instead of Win 7)?

Dear developers. Do you know why every month the ETH hashrate decreases a bit on 1070-1080Ti video cards? About 2-3 MX per year. On AMD cards and on 1066 - this does not happen, everything is ok there. Thank you in advance!
I also wants to know answer this question. In the first half of this year my 6 1070 have 192Mh. Now they have 183.8Mh. Moreover I decreased MC, because with MC I used before, hashrate is even less. But there is nothing incorrect shares, so looks like hardware works good. May be it will help you. I had some experiments. 1. Used Claymore 15.0. Still slower then PM. PM now have 184.2-184.5. So back to PM. I had the following settings: PM: 4.7c CV: +0 PL: 64 CC: +0 MC: 1: +540 - 31.01 2: +540 - 30.94 3: +450 - 30.33 4: +510 - 30.79 5: +540 - 30.95 6: +450 - 30.39 ------- 184.41 (PM shows 635W) Each MC was setted up for each card. Remember? I told that a half year ago I had 192Mh with MC +640 for all cards! 2. Changed PL. After increasing PL from 64 hashrate became growing. With PL 100 and MC +650 for all cards I have now 192.5Mh (PM shows 905W power). With PL 80 and MC +650: 192.4Mh (792-803W). With PL 70 and MC +650: 191.5Mh (696-701W). With PL 69 and MC +650: 190.6Mh (685-690W). With PL 68 and MC +650: 189.4Mh (672W). With PL 67 and MC +650: 187.9Mh (668W). With PL 66 and MC +650: 186.1Mh (660W). With PL 65 and MC +650: 184.2Mh (644W). With PL 64 and MC +650: 182.5Mh (636W). So after 2.5 years of mining my optimal working PL became 70, but was 64.
