1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: August 07, 2018, 10:49:51 PM
So no new ledger, no double money, nothing that could lead me to think that good old BCN will get obsolete in favour of a new Hardforked one.
Sounds good to me.

Bytecoin is better than all other altcoins and bitcoin.

Why everybody is thinking that this coin is big scam? Unfortunately I've bought it some time ago and at moment I don't know what I need to do with it? Sell for loss or hold?

Because Monero people are afraid Cheesy

to me it seems very childish that an administrator of an official channel bytecoin banned me only because I had conflicting thoughts with others .. we see that this project with few foundations.

Oh, how much tossed in the price of the coin in recent times. I watched this growth from the outside and it was very interesting to see. Interestingly, many people managed to get out and earn?

I sold my savings for almost a year at the top and to be precise it is at 120 Satoshi. And I am very happy. In a week with his wife fly to the Maldives. All successes

Good travel dude Wink

I bet that the crypto outlets will have stories on BCN which should drive more FOMO. Weekend is looking good for 200 sats .i think the hardfork is supposed to narrow down how many is in circulating vs how many hasnt been circulating so it will give a better consensus of the overall coins ecosystem.

When hard fork will be occurred?

The Bytecoin is the BASIS for such coins as Monero and many other. Very soon Bytecoin will take its own!

My new and more accurate prediction:

399900% - ?? No! No! No!
$20 - ?? - No! No! No!

Bytecoin 2018 = $4 - $7.
Remember! The truth is in the middle.

Yepp... and Market cap Bytecoin 750.000.000.000 or more Grin in 2018

max - 0.10$ this year

why not? there's no limit Cheesy

Why the price of Bytecoin has risen exponentially in the last few days?
Are there significant upgrades of Bytecoin platform/ services?
I have been a little bit busy in the last few weeks, so have I missed something important?

Start for the MOON!

Bytecoin is the elder brother (or "father" ?) for such coins (see below).
Bytecoin has been forked more than 25 times.

source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bytecoin_(cryptocurrency)

Forum sliding much?

That chart is a fraud (as well as the wikipedia page, which is heavily infested with internet trolls who delete any accurate information about the history), all part of the campaign to legitimize Bytecoin and hide the history of the faked blockchain and 80% hidden premine.

Anything prior to late 2013 or early 2014 (which includes the original claimed Bytecoin launch date as well as the paladincoin and buddhacoin forks, is phony.

If there is anyone other than paid trolls reading and posting on this thread (which most certainly does not include most of the last couple of pages), be aware that this is one of the most notorious and persistent scams in the history of cryptocurrencies. Introduced back in July 2012, Bytecoin has cemented its place among the promising altcoins for its high-end security policies. With thousands of traders showing interest in this project, it’s not hard to determine why there are so many Bytecoin forks today. What set it apart from its other peers are its highly nuanced security policies: Bytecoin (BCN) is not only regulated by CryptoNote algorithm, it is also the first coin to adopt this technology.

Given the fact that BCN is regulated by the crypto-world’s finest algorithm, it’s not hard to imagine why some of the most vied-after currencies are actually a Bytecoin fork. The king of the dark web Monero, which is widely recognized for its anonymity, is also a fork of Bytecoin. Surprisingly enough, Dash is also a fork of Bytecoin. The CryptoNote algorithm, which has been developed to offer the security of all crypto transactions, is not only acknowledged for its security features but also for its resistance towards ASIC. Much to traders convenience, Bytecoin can be mined by anyone and from anywhere just with the help of a regular computer.

Bytecoin (BCN) (which gave birth to Monero (XMR), Aeon(AEON),  Dash(?) and others (see the diagram below)), a rising altcoin known for its anonymity, is making a comeback in the market. This can be a direct outcome of the controversies generated by Monero (XMR), especially due to the frequent mining scandals. With a steady rise in the price, BCN is definitely regarded among the most promising currencies of 2018, despite its unpopularity among the masses.

source: https://globalcoinreport.com/bytecoin-features-among-the-top-crypto-gainers-this-week/

And now remember my words:  Bytecoin  2018 = $3 - $7

All the points stated by you are correct but it doesn't mean that the coin will be successful. The efforts shown by the team in solving any issues and for the development of BCN are mainly responsible for the downfall of this coin.
Check Monero. Even though it is a fork of BCN, it is the most promising project right now. Why? Because of the community and the team.

Bytecoin can't even deal with the current issue of ASIC miners. Most of the coins have already forked. And right now, they are concerned about their AMA next month.

We must give them time, it has been less than a year since they took over the development of Bytecoin. I think we'll see the results at the end of the year. I think that aiming $ 1 = BCN is not delusional.

BitcoinGold BTG was created / a modified version of Bitcoin BTC because a technical reason, few people understand...

Bitcoin BTC Blockchain was designed with SHA256 algorithm, developed by the N.S.A.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Hash_Algorithms
it turns out, that China developed ASIC Miners that could Monopolize / Control All the Bitcoin in the Future/World...

Bitcoin was created with De-Centralized Idea, anything that goes against Decentralization is against the Original idea/purpose of Bitcoin...
https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Bitcoin has become Centralized,
the Only way to keep Bitcoin Decentralized was to change the Algorithm,

that´s why Litecoin was Born, it was a Mutation of Bitcoin, they replaced the SHA256 algorithm with Scrypt,
but China once again created ASIC Scrypt miners...

New Algorithms were Born, ETHash "Ethereum & Ethereum Classic."
BytecoinBNC CriptoNote, and its mutations like MoneroXMR CryptoNight v6, Now will change to v7 this month.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7a/Forks-tree-fixed.png

Equihash...
and many many more...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944858.msg30868936#msg30868936
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944858.msg34234348#msg34234348

BitcoinGold replaced the SHA256 with Equihash, and a fork was born, "the difference in ideas, how the future should be, similar to Ethereum & Ethereum Classic Fork."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bitcoin_forks
ETClassic is "inmutable", ETH is Mutable,
BTC is "inmutable in some aspects" like the 1MB Block Size limit, and the SHA256 algorithm.
when developers don´t agree in the RoadMap, a Fork is Born.
thats why BitcoinCash was born, to increase the Block Size Limit.

the reason for Equihash was backward compatibility, and easy implementation...

Other coins that have a much more advanced Algorithm are Not compatible, and the Blockchain must Start from 0.

e-Coins behave like Darwinism & Natural Selection created by Mutations of the Code, and Environment Adaptation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwinism
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-Darwinism

to me Bitcoin is the Ford Model-T of this era... and sooner or later it will be replaced, with a much better. LOL .Jajajajajaja

example BTG created its own forum...
https://forum.bitcoingold.org

where does the name Bytecoin comes from?
1 Bit = 1 or 0.
1 Byte = 1 group of 8 bits.
its a way to say its Bigger, it an evolution...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte

example internet speed is sold in bits per second because slow speed looks bigger / more impressive.
but hard drive capacity & speed is sold in Bytes because bits are 1/8 too small & will give a number too big.
Sales Marketing.?
pay for a 20Mbps internet or for 2.5MB/s internet?
but SATA port is in Bits, SATA-III = 6Gbps, but PCIe x1 v2 is limited to 5Gbps, if you put 2x SSD's into a controller connected to PCIe x1 v2 speed will half.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#History_and_revisions

Anyway...
why i think Bytecoin is better than Bitcoin:

BCN Technical Specs:
Quote
Specifications
Algorithm: CryptoNight
Block time is 120 seconds
Difficulty retarget each block
Block reward decreases each block according to the formula:
BaseReward = (MSupply - A)/218
where MSupply = (264 - 1) atomic units and 'A' is amount of already generated coins
One coin is divisible down to 8 decimal places (divisible up to 10^8)
Total coins: 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 atomic units (= 184.46 billion BCN)
https://bytecoin.org/about/technical-documentation

CryptoNight v6 is the Best Hybrid CPU & GPU algorithm today...
MoneroXMR is launching "this month" a New v7 Algorithm with unknown performance.
CryptoNight is much more power efficient than Equihash and many other algorithms.
also the CPU vs. GPU ratio makes is less Centralized... still makes sense to use the CPU = more decentralized.

GPU Only algorithms like ETHash are responsable for the GPU price increase in the last year,
used price today for a GPU was New Price Yesterday.

are e-coins scam?
real money is scam...
money was backed up in the past with Gold Reserves 1:1... until it was abandoned &/or forbidden by governments.
Today Paper Money worths Nothing, creating inflation & debt.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_standard#Theory
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_dollar#Silver_and_gold_standards

"Gold coins were confiscated by Executive Order 6102 issued in 1933 by Franklin Roosevelt. The gold standard was changed to 13.71 grains (0.888 g), equivalent to setting the price of 1 troy ounce of gold at $35. This standard persisted until 1968."
https[Suspicious link removed]cutive Order 6102 is a United States presidential executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the Hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States". The limitation on gold ownership in the U.S. was repealed after President Gerald Ford signed a bill legalizing private ownership of gold coins, bars and certificates by an act of Congress codified in Pub.L. 93–373[1] which went into effect December 31, 1974."

PoW coins are made of energy, energy someone has pay'd...
eCoins are stored Energy...

In the Hitman Game, Sapienza At Sunset, when Hitman is walking with the priest, says:
"Money is God,
thats whats Nietzsche never understood,
God simply has taken another form."
https://youtu.be/it1PsAojZJo?t=8m18s

God is Energy, & Money is Energy, Money is a small piece of God's Energy.
thats why every body wants it.
some people call it The Gold Rush.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_rush

i have felt it, the energy.
is more real than anything else.

Wow Cheesy

I am interested to purchase bytecoin. I dont see any hardware wallet for it. Can someone please tell me what is the best option to store BCN and one more question which exchange is best for purchasing/exchanging and then withdrawing the BCNs to the wallet?
