281  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buycoin.online: cryptocurrency exchange at the best rates! on: January 17, 2024, 03:02:57 PM
All technical issues have been successfully resolved, and our service is now accessible on the Bestchange monitor. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with such a reputable platform and express gratitude to all forum participants for their suggestions regarding improvements to our service.

The smallest amount is a little much, as 0.00202 is worth more than $80 at current prices. Is it possible to reduce it a little?
I see that the maximum amount is 236303, which is 236k BTC. This is a very huge amount for a small platform. Can you sign a message or do Prove Of Reserves (POR)?

All of these claims are inaccurate More than 10 years on the market and the domain registration date is 2023-11-06? Over 10K satisfied customers and there are no positive or negative reviews on the Internet.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1% fixed Inflationary pow kaspa fork suggestion on: January 17, 2024, 02:41:25 PM
The supply alone is not sufficient to create value. Let us take the example that I decided a bitcoin hardfork, so that the total supply would be reduced from 21 million Bitcoins to 10 million Bitcoins, and I decided to invest in this currency at an amount of 10 billion dollars. Will it achieve the same success and value as Bitcoin after 15 years, inevitably? no.  demand is important and more important than supply. If humans find a metal that has properties like gold and a cheaper price than gold with the possibility of mining, the value of gold will decrease.

kaspa will be like other 99,999% coins that have 0 value
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / bitfinex XRP Partial Payments Exploit on: January 17, 2024, 02:24:50 PM
I think you have heard about the recent Bitfinex hack attempt, in which hackers tried to steal $15B XRP transfer from Bitfinex by exploiting the Partial Payments Exploit feature, but I did not understand how such a hack could be done.

It appears that Partial Payments Exploit, and https://xrpl.org/partial-payments.html, the flag is enabled, and once it is enabled, the partial payment transaction will be successful if it delivers any amount equal to or greater than the DeliveryMin field without exceeding the SendMax amount, or in other words :

Code:
Amount ≥ (Delivered Amount) = SendMax - (Fees) ≥ DeliverMin > 0

According to the explanation, the hackers have risen
In reality, the exploiter sends over a much smaller amount specified in another transaction field and aims to receive credit for the difference.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/unknown-wallet-xrp-transfer-bitfinex-partial-payments-exploit

Can someone explain to me how it happened? I tried to understand it but I could not.
284  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex suffered minor phishing attack on: January 17, 2024, 02:06:58 PM
Well now Bitfinex was lucky this time. CEO of Bitfinex Paolo Ardoino says there was a hacker that tried to steal $15 Billion of XRP but he did fail to do it.

The failed attack comes from the XRP ledger. https://coinpaprika.com/news/hacker-s-attempt-to-steal-15-billion-in-xrp/
It is difficult to trust a service that has been hacked several times, whether on the part of the financial system, which is responsible for deposit and withdrawal transactions, or for user data, which is supposed to be stored independently and encrypted with a second layer. This is an invention of the entire security system of the platform, which must be the answer to it. It is to give full details of the attack, change the payment system, and prove that the platform has become secure, not to say that the attack failed.
285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to pay a cruise with criptocurrency on: January 17, 2024, 01:49:51 PM
Either you pay someone to pay you or you buy using debit cards, which can be charged with Bitcoin.
Using Google I found these services:
https://crypto-rockstars.com/
https://ticket.seasummit.com/
You may find more options, but using debit cards gives you a wider range of options and still gets deducted from your Bitcoin balance.
286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: onyxchange.com is legit? on: January 13, 2024, 06:26:22 AM
I can't believe they said that but in trying to justify it because they are a legal platform they mentioned

Yes, sudden lags in transaction times, exchange rate fluctuations and other technical difficulties often make users suspicious of crypto scam. Still, it is both important and relieving to remember such difficulties are always temporary and do not mean that the exchange in question does not provide trustworthy financial services

This means that there may be a delay in exchange rates or a delay in receipt due to technical problems, but do not worry, your money is safe. Are they serious? Such a quote is something reassuring.
The more you dig deeper, the more you will find that everything on this exchange tells you that it is a scam.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and his steps in nowadays integration. on: January 13, 2024, 06:17:29 AM
Why do you need to give someone your public key? You need to send him your Bitcoin address. There are ways to enhance privacy, either by using coinjoin or mixers or P2P and converting it to Monero and many methods that enhance your privacy and make the possibility of tracking you impossible, as well as without you submitting your data to CEX or using Google services and other services that spy on you make it difficult to determine your identity.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Revamped Version of Bitcoin with different Parameters on: January 13, 2024, 06:13:12 AM
You are not sending them Bitcoin, but rather altcoin, and its value will be completely different from Bitcoin and may not have a value exactly as was the case with Bitcoin in 2009/2010.
You are trying to create a hardfork at best, as the project states that it is non-profitable, so instead why not use tBTC or at least provide an online wallet due to the high risks of downloading unknown software.
289  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of Crisis and uncertanities toilet paper can be new currency on: January 13, 2024, 05:32:04 AM
If inflation in your country is this bad, it is better to buy the necessary goods as soon as possible, especially if your country is rural and their value decreases at the time of harvest, as buying and storing these goods will contribute to reducing inflation, in addition to trying to engage in trade. In times of high inflation, it becomes easy to make profits, and the argument is easy. Inflation is high, so trying to enter trade, buy goods, and invest in Bitcoin will greatly reduce the effects.
290  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 13, 2024, 03:52:05 AM
But most people who are selling BTC will be looking for the most optimal price, so the price in general will always converge between different exchanges.
Supply and demand is what creates value for the price. If I am the only one who sells Bitcoin in exchange for, for example, the Venezuelan Bolivar, then I will certainly be the one who sets the price if there is high demand. Also, the possibility of there being expected inflation for its currency will make investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin, even at a price higher than the market price. For fear of a decline in the value of the local currency, which happened in Turkey when exchange rates were changing daily, the average selling price of Bitcoin against the Turkish lira was much higher than the real exchange rate.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia sacrificing GeForce graphics cards for AI accelerators? on: January 13, 2024, 03:48:07 AM
The gains achieved by Nvidia make it a number 1 in the gaming market, so they may try to control the market for manufacturing AI accelerators as it is an emerging market and may achieve profits in the millions.
Countries are now competing for semiconductors and demand is high, so many sectors will be affected, but billions of investments in this field will make demand acceptable in the coming years.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi and Hal Finney's wallet: what key generation process? on: January 12, 2024, 02:09:37 PM
Recently, we have seen some “problematic” issues involving the generation of keys for some services.

A few months ago, we discovered a vulnerability linked to BitcoinJS, a library used by various software to generate wallets. Among the most famous names among those possibly affected are Blockchain.info (currently Blockchain.com), BitAddress, Bitgo, GreenAddress and CoinKite.

Today I read some reports from users with problems related to Electrum on Tails.

So, I was curious to know what methods were used by Satoshi, Hal Finney and the first participants? Can anyone share links about?
Bitcoin v0.1 (Jan 8 14:27:40 EST 2009) was the wallet used by Satoshi and Hal Finney when tweeted “Running bitcoin,” (January 11) while Bitcoin 0.2 released was on December 16.

Bitcoin v0.1 was windows only for now.  Open source C++ code

https://www.metzdowd.com/pipermail/cryptography/2009-January/014994.html

Download link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/bitcoin/bitcoin-0.1.0.rar However, this wallet will not sync with current nodes due to Bitcoin hardfork.

Believe it or not, in the first versions it was possible to send to an IP address.

Quote
There are two ways to send money.  If the recipient is online, you
can enter their IP address and it will connect, get a new public
key and send the transaction with comments.  If the recipient is
not online, it is possible to send to their Bitcoin address, which
is a hash of their public key that they give you.  They'll receive
the transaction the next time they connect and get the block it's
in.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: My little forecast for finances and economy 2024-2026 on: January 12, 2024, 02:01:16 PM
No one expects gold to collapse severely because it is a safe haven, nor because its market value exceeds $10 trillion, which is larger than the economies of many countries combined. The world has become self-sufficient in oil. It is true that the price is high, but resources and productivity are possible for most countries in the world, so the economy will always be predictable. .
Bitcoin will move strongly in recent months, and it will be impossible to predict its direction, especially for the next two years.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Notcoin mining on: January 12, 2024, 01:52:10 PM
It is not possible to confirm the number of users. They can manipulate data and falsify the database, especially with the ease of creating bots, so the impact on the Internet is what will confirm their accuracy. They have 206.5K Followers with only eight tweets. There are no user ratings or reviews online.
295  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling USTD or any other Crypto Coin for Paypal 🟢Fast Transaction🟢 on: January 12, 2024, 01:39:20 PM
USTD? Never heard of that one.
I hope you are aware of the dangers of PayPal as a mode of payment, as transactions can be reversible. In case you did know, read through this sticky - Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services
I searched for it and did not find any details. It seems that he means USDT and the letter “d” is either a mistake or because of the word dollar.
Since you will accept PayPal and send with an irreversible transaction, make the deal with a trusted member after telling you about the country. If you are in the same country, it will facilitate friends’ transfers.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 12, 2024, 01:00:29 PM
One of the most important conditions for currency is that there should be no differentiation between the same denomination. If you have 1 dollar that was printed a week ago, another 10 years ago, and another that is full of dust, then these dollars must have exactly the same value as the value of the dollar that you pay to buy groceries and the dollar that is used to launder money.

If there is differentiation between the same category, the currency will collapse, so there are no clean, dirty, and virgin Bitcoins.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why decentralized Storage is cheaper than centralized? on: January 12, 2024, 12:52:18 PM
Outperform in what way? If the metric is about price then I guess it's just about demand. Is the service priced on the native token and valued based on their USD equivalent? I think that's one thing that should be considered here. Decentralized storages could be charging more if the coin's value in USD increases.

The reason is demands.

Now the question comparing to (Google) and other service do people know about (Filecoin) service ?
I was comparing the costs of adding megabytes to the Bitcoin blockchain, which is very expensive, but the amount is very low compared to centralized services, so why don’t centralized services follow a technology similar to filecon?

The chart surprised me at the first look but I think there are other consideration to make before making a decision.
Speed and uptime on the centralized service might be much different from the decentralized option. I have never used such decentralized service yet, just my guess.
And for long term storage which doesn't need quick access, Amazon glacier deep archive goes as low a $1/TB. The pricing here are for instant service like the one offered by google drive and dropbox. I'd too like to know the reviews from ones that have. I might even try filecoin myself considering the price. Hope the rates are for long term.

charts encouraged me to try it. I was waiting for the experience of users here about the price, efficiency, and possibility of accessing files after years, since even Google does not guarantee you files for dozens of years.

In my opinion, the reason is that the price of decentralized storage may be lower due to the efficient use of resources, the absence of intermediaries and competition. In addition, transparency and security contribute. These factors reduce costs and make decentralized storage more accessible to users.
If the upload speed, download speed, and access to data without delay are reasonable, I will choose them. Reliability is the most important thing in cloud storage, ease of access and then price.
298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BETA BSC | TeleSwap on: January 12, 2024, 12:30:04 PM
I am not sure do I understand what you mean by 'additional fee'.

additional fee is the gas fee. Since you control all the private keys, why is the service not centralized and the transactions updated in the database instead of onchain? I watched the video, the service seems pretty good, keep developing it and write better terms of use and proof of reserves.
299  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cashlowinvest.org on: January 11, 2024, 12:32:08 PM
Is the spelling of the domain correct? I cannot access it using Tor and search results on duckduckgo give me no results. If they promise crazy profits of more than 5% per year or equivalent per month then this is most likely a scam. Do not try to believe them, even if they pay you for the first transaction. Or in the first month, a time will come and they will deceive you.
If the profits are less than 5% annually, this is a risk, and there are actually safer platforms in which you can invest your money. There is also a good possibility that Bitcoin prices will rise, so 5% annually is almost guaranteed.
300  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Sweeping paper wallet on: January 11, 2024, 11:55:47 AM
I see that the last login of the user was about 17 days ago, so I assume that the problem has been solved, but not all wallets support the option of importing the private key and converting it to a wallet seed, so the easiest solution is to include it in DogeWallet (Dogeparty wallet) and then use an open source wallet such as DogeChain.

Sadly, the site does offer some bad recommendations like Guarda or Trust Wallet.
They suggest BitPay so the list is bound to be bad.
