Transferred some BTC to Cryptsy to buy some QRK (deposit hasn't arrived yet).

Site is extremely slow for a trading website.  Please work it out.

Local bitcoins, local litecoins is an interesting option. Maybe a bit higher price, but you can find sellers near you.
Thank you.

I found localbitcoins.com for anyone that is wondering.

4  Other / Beginners & Help / Where to buy?! on: November 28, 2013, 01:05:17 PM
Hello ladies and gents,

I've been in queue to get verified by bitstamp for what seems like eternity (it's been 4 days).  Are there any other reliable places where one can (relatively quickly) buy coins?

I'd been wanting to jump on the bandwagon for a while now - it's just saddening to watch the bull market and not being able to buy any.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / New to the scene. ALT coins/Mining and other questions on: November 26, 2013, 03:32:49 PM
Hello everyone,

I heard about BTC 2 years back but I never really spent the time immersing myself in it.  I remember my brother in law wanted to buy it at .05$ but I just laughed at him and made a comment about penny stocks.

Anyways - BTC costs quite a penny now.  I didn't know about alt coins until a few days ago but it's tough to find reliable information on the net other than this forum it seems.  I found http://coinmarketcap.com/ on the forums today, which is nice because I'd been trying to find charts for the alt coins.

  • Has anyone used the above mentioned site (is it reliable)?
  • Where can you buy alt coins from?
  • What's stopping people from mining alt coins that have had substantial 24hr bull changes?

I would greatly appreciate input on these questions and all discussion is welcomed.

Thanks in advance,
NG.
