Hello,

after installing  a qbic windows wallet, i dont know to restart my wallet.. cant find an exe.file  ..
Thank you for helping.

It looks like the other's have answered your question on the .exe portion, but I would also recommend that you backup your wallet.dat file from the installation directory. Generally that is the file that contains your keys. I would keep it either on a flash drive or a second copy in another form of safe storage. Just in case. We threw out a computer in 2010 that had bitcoin worth a few hundred thousand dollars nowadays. Hindsight is 20/20.

Here is a guide that provides all of the useful bbcode tags and styling: https://www.phpbb.com/community/help/bbcode

Keep in mind that you must be atleast a Junior Member in order to post images in a thread.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why my position is decrease from Jr member to Newbie on: September 20, 2018, 08:04:21 PM
you need at least 1 merit to increase to Jr member
where can i get merit?

I read somewhere that you can buy merit, but even if that was possible, I wouldn't like it. I always try to write helpful, valuable posts, but I have seen posts of mine which were not really considered very good in spite of my best efforts. Is there some link which could show newbies how to gain merit? If there is, can someone please share the link?
this is a useful link explaining how to get merit:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4932316.0

And dont buy merit, if you want to have some of the advantages of higher (member) rank you can buy a copper  membership, please see rhe following link. Its only about 11 euro:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Adding to this, absolutely do not try and buy (nor sell) merit. Doing so will most likely result in you earning negative trust or possibly getting restricted in other ways. Buying and selling of Merit is technically against the rules and guidelines set forth for Bitcointalk. Merit is a gauge for others to see how helpful your posts have been on the forum, and they must be earned. Otherwise, as was stated above, you can buy a copper membership and the funds spent on this are used to keep Bitcointalk running.

A long time Bitcointalk user, TMAN, made a guide on how to better earn merit at this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3376729.0;topicseen

The above guide is probably one of my favorites on earning merit.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expectations of experts on Bitcoin on: September 12, 2018, 06:04:00 PM
I think cryptocurrency is highly unpredictable. There has been speculation from a lot of "experts", yet none of them have showed much accuracy, and it remains only speculation. Personally I believe that without further adoption of the actual technology in everyday life, cryptocurrency will remain highly volatile and speculative.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to keep BTC if I don't want to keep in exchange? on: September 12, 2018, 05:56:08 PM
Personally, I would recommend getting a Ledger Nano S, though I know a lot of people have also had success with the Trezor wallet as well. You can find the ledger wallet here: https://www.ledger.com/products/ledger-nano-s?r=d9d9293c72f3&tracker=MY_TRACKER

Thanks guys, I realize what I was asking wasn't best practice. Locking this thread as I got everything taken care of.
8  Economy / Lending / [LOAN] Asking for a .04 BTC Loan with a 10 day payback and collateral on: September 11, 2018, 10:47:46 PM
Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am looking to borrow .04 BTC with a payback period of 10 days or less. Upon payback, I will offer .06 BTC to cover short term interest. I can offer 1500 substratum in collateral, I know the current value doesn't quite equal the borrowed amount, but it used to be worth 4 times that much.

The reason I am looking to borrow is to pay some fees for a service for my business. I would just pay it myself, but I am currently above my purchase limit on Coinbase and the contractor wants to get paid asap.

If anyone could do this, that would be fantastic!

Thanks

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Marginal trading on: August 04, 2018, 03:30:31 AM
The amount and maintenance of margin accounts depends quite a bit on the exchange you are using and where you are located. If you are willing to invest larger amounts ($10,000+) Bitmex or Bitfinex would be good places to start. If you are looking to do smaller amounts, places like cex.io or Poloniex also offer margin trading if you qualify. Keep in mind that all of these have different rules and restrictions, so make sure you do your research to find the one that works for you.

Here is a resource for beginners as well on margin trading in the crypto space: https://cryptopotato.com/bitcoin-altcoins-margin-trading-beginners/
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a job that pays bitcoin on: August 04, 2018, 03:18:46 AM
There are quite a few freelancer sites out there that pay BTC, but definitely would recommend saying a little bit about your skills so that we have more context? I am connected to quite a few companies looking for some freelance and contracted workers that pay out in BTC or ETH.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] 780 ETH - GraphenTech Bounty Now Live on: July 27, 2018, 09:20:47 PM
Guys, before you start participating in this ICO, just read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4736956.msg42780471#msg42780471
Manager, how can you explain this?

That person is a troll and the thread has been reported. He has been trolling under two different names on all GraphenTech posts. The account is a newbie and has an activity of two, his other account has -3 trust and is also a newbie. The other account goes by the name Arthur

Doesn't look like a troll to me. Can you confirm that Raul Molino isn't part of the team? That guy has a proof Raul was the first CEO of it and even took a screenshot for it. He is also part of the linkedin company created by the team, hows that for a proof. Seem a concrete evidence. Raul had successfully scammed before so someone has to ask this in telegram.

Here is an article from El Universo, the largest news aggregate in Ecuador, stating that Red Tech and Raul Molina did NOT scam anyone out of anything. El Universo even rectified all misinformation and cleared up the entire situation. Its written in Spanish, naturally.

Article: https://www.eluniverso.com/noticias/2017/02/23/nota/6060286/nota-direccion

The rumor continues to be perpetuated by two people on BitcoinTalk, including the one above. If you look at the accusations on any forums or sites, they are usually done by exact same two people. The trolling became so much that Raul stepped back from the project itself.

P.S. The news site that Zalaster quotes is a tiny media outlet in Ecuador called Vistazo, with an Alexa website traffic rank of 80000 (poor). This rectification, on the other hand, was published by El Universo, which is again, the largest news aggregate in Ecuador. El Universo has an Alexa website traffic rank of 1,988 (Great).

Raul Molina was hidden as a member of the team, but that's it!! It does not matter where the article was published, who wrote what was justified - it was not presented to potential investors !!! What are the reasons?? Is this correct?

He stepped down from his position on the team amidst trolling to not hurt the image of the company, seems justifiable to me. Brock Pierce did the same thing on the EOS team amidst former allegations (none of which were proven true) and trolling. Does that make EOS bad? No.

If a whole bunch of news aggregates clear his name and say there is no evidence of foul play, that's proof enough for me.

20  Economy / Securities / Orthogonal - Berkshire Hathaway modeled holding company in Crypto on: July 26, 2018, 02:56:04 PM
Hi guys,

Just wanted to drop this here, I came across a really cool start up the other day that is modeled after the Berkshire Hathaway holding company lead by Warren Buffet. I thought they were cool as they were getting involved with companies in the Blockchain industry and own quite a bit of intellectual property. They are partnering with quite a few future-forward industries like Cannabis and Wellness companies as well! It seems like a cool opportunity to get involved with a brand new holding company and the minimum investment is only $100.

There is more info here: https://wefunder.com/orthogonal

Figured I would just drop this here since I found it interesting!
