1  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people are still buying BTC? on: August 06, 2018, 01:59:56 PM
Hello guys,

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.

Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  Roll Eyes ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.

An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.

Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).

I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.
People couldnt resist to get some profit from trading it.
Professional investors and traders are jumping in.
Why we dont buy it too?

I never count the $ when mining.
I count the altcoins.
When the mined coins price is up, just sell it Grin

If you followed the current  Bitcoins price,  you should know what was just happened. Not more than 1 day the price is going up to $8k.
Many investors wanna make a fortune from Bitcoin and they will buy it when the price cannot go lower anymore. They will keep buying until their target is achieved, its like manipulating the price. Just follow the price daily and you will know when is the best time to buy or sell Bitcoin.

I guess Bitcoins fever is over.
But as usual, Old players out. New investor in.
There are many peoples wanna buy Bitcoin at lower price.
Too bad that China Banned Crypto, China has a large market.
Lets hope for the best.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Stock market on: July 12, 2018, 07:01:24 AM
Bitcoin and stocks is different
Stocks has its company, and the price is depends on its performance, profit or loss, portfolio, etc.
While Bitcoin only had peoples that got profit from it by mining, trading, etc
When no peoples trust in crypto, its the end.
But I doubt it will end, and I hope Crypto is last forever.
Blockchain has no limit Grin
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does bitcoin need to improve? on: July 12, 2018, 06:56:02 AM
Bitcoin need to be accepted globally.
Something like a payment method that can be used anywhere anytime.
For that case, the transaction services should be at best level. Low fee and fast.
Faucethub and Coinbase is great for increase the Bitcoin transaction service level.
But since the price is very volatile, its very hard to achieved that goal. Bitcoin is now not more that an investment product for me.

Hi Mex,
I wanna integrate FaucetHub to my PTC Site so I can pay my members in Btc
Do you have full guide for doing that?
I have read API Doc but not fully understand what to do.
Any help will be good.
Best regards
No, unfortunately, there's no official guides/tutorials, but from what I remember, I have seen a few ones on bitcointalk.

Hi Mex
I ask for my script maker to do that Grin
Anyway is it possible to transfer my Btc from Nicehash to my faucethub account?

Hi Mex,
I wanna upgrade my account, how can I do that?
Should I deposit to my faucethub account?
And if I upgraded with package 5 which will add 54 mining power, My total mining power will be 64?
64*5=320 sat per claim?

Many thanks and regards
There is no way to deposit here. If there would had any deposit option, then the site won't even exist till now.

And your calculation is correct. If you can upgrade to package 5, you can earn that much per claim.

So the only way to upgrade is use balance.. not deposits?
Will work hard then if wanna upgrade use package #5  Grin
Thanks for the answer

Hello,
I tried to mine use android device and kinda like it.
It didnt heat up the device and battery is not drained so fast.
The stats showing 1H/S all the time, but I saw it 5H/S on the app, is it a bug?
I tried with 2 devices and its still showing 1H/S.
Anyway its a good app for mobile mining.
Thanks Smiley
