wat I don't understand is... if u was gona premine scam with this laundering u talkin about... right.. and then ur coin suddenly becomes worth 6 million dollars.. why wouldn't u sell the premine then? would cryptsy have shut down the exchange if u moved it before u got a chance to get it there? or locked the accounts being transferred it?

cause at the high point, had u sold to 0, im not sure what it was worth but probably a lot for writing a nice story about Iceland and getting a coin made.

so it seems that they not only messed up the plan, but they also missed exit point b, if you are in fact correct about this being a scam. (of the century)

what does minusing #4 from #7 have to do with it? why does it use only the timestamps from particular blocks to calc the diff adjustment?
how can u do less work but do more work? its because its not counting all the work its skipping some and only counting others towards the adjustment/ ?

can anyone explain better how this exploit works? ive deduced there is time-warping involved, and that the goal is to hijack a coin and print tons of coins while no one else can because the diff is all low and stuff.

ok srsly, if the price get crashed by 300 000 Icelanders trading out their AUR, 3000 smart Icelanders will get mega fucking rich. aight.

any price crash that's impending will be based off of 10000s of people getting crypto to trade that has value, and then instadumping it to.. what? Icelandic dollars? USD right? so now they have some USD, they spent it, its gone. Iceland still sux. u don't think maybe a few people might realise the *potential* in something like this?

everyone whos passing comment clearly hasn't lived somewhere where their local currency has faced super-inflation, and the fact that Iceland is trying to do ANYTHING AT ALL to upset the ridiculously unbalanced banking system present in all western countries definitely makes it a prime candidate for large-scale adoption of a crypto.

again I don't think it will actually happen, I just don't agree with the arguments set forth as to WHY its going to be a travesty.

its going to die because the premine will be dumped/stolen, or the trading value at airdrop will be so low no one will care to redeem them.

if neither of those things happen, its going to do just fine now after its initial price surge, which I might point out HAPPENS TO EVERY SINGLE COIN THAT MAKES EXCHANGE.

gl AUR, I want to see this succeed but I have my doubts. if the dev  isn't str8 scamming then at least its a decent attempt at doing something to make a difference for a lot of people, a lot more than can be said for most other coins.

100 things can crush the price, actually making the airdrop happen is not one of them. if the airdrop goes smoothly (somehow) it will not crush the price.

im not going to speculate on where the price will be at that time, barring any major mishaps though, the price should actually go up. your exposing 300 000 people to crypto, giving them some that's branded for their country, and its probably only going to be worth a few hundred dollars. if they get to the point of actually receiving AUR, the majority probably WONT instadump it. why would they? would you?

anyways, the looming airdrop can hurt the price, the airdrop actually happening shouldn't. I don't think it should trade much higher than .060 before that time, given the total mkt cap of the distributed funds. it probably will but that's another story.

I really don't think Iceland as a whole is going to adopt this crypto as a currency, that's pretty ridiculous. if it does happen eventually it will be worth TONS so that's why everyone is blowing the price up, its pretty simple.

one thing I can guarantee you, if the airdrop actually happens, game on for crypto. regardless of what the price does. 30 AUR will be worth 50 bucks at least if the coin doesn't die and the premine doesn't get stoled. u can bet that most of Iceland will eventually pick up their free money. even if this goes terribly for AUR, a lot of media exposure for crypto.

anyways, will be interesting to see how this goes..

The confirmations stayes on block 1: 54 left, block 2: 90 left and block 3: 95 left.

It's not the pools fault. It's the coin. Difficulty is broken and won't be fixed until block 5400, which at the current rate won't be for weeks.
There are literally hours of no blocks being found on the entire network.

We did find 3 blocks. So the confirmation is also a coin issue? In that case i edit my message.

I transfered my coins many times and usually it took approx. 10-30 minutes tops.

Maybe I got lucky?

both tx time and confirmations are affected by increased block times I think. increased block times are as a result of increased diff from a reduction in hashing power after a multipool shows up and then leaves. that's whats going on with tx and confirm

If you have problem with crypsty put another little (expensive) order then cancel it immediatly (not matched order)

for the people, if any, who sold AUR and nothing happened except they disappeared, yes I expected them to be here letting everyone know.

1 BTC of AUR just vanished from my account on cryptsy. I have experienced all sorts of crap on there, but not this. its not in my order history, its nowhere, I pressed sell, no little popup came, and the AUR is gone.

the reason im posting here is

THATS FUCKING SHENANIGANS !!! orders close against eachother, so ... tell me, how does my AUR go away, but no order was closed? this indicates major problem with the trading engine. like MAJOR problem. where are my AUR?

in fact I just checked, sum1 bought them. I just didn't get the BTC. fun times. well see how cryptsy handles it whenever they get around to it.

**edit got em back with open cancel, but interestingly enough.. theres a closed order for exactly 20 AUR at the time I sold them. an open buy order. so that guy got 20 AUR at the exact time I sold into the market. but my AUR didn't sell. so he got them somewhere else, exactly the amount I sold which I had just bought and was the only flat 20 buy in forever aswell. I find it highly unlikely sum1 else sold flat 20 into the market at the same time I did.

As a big and active supporter of this initiative I get many questions from serious forum users why I'm so determined. Well, besides my earlier statements about believing in acting rather than screeching, I would like to suggest you read this post:

It clarified to mee that if Crytpo would work anywhere, THIS country with it's very special likeminded people would be the place!

Thats why I support the Dev's ideology and am willing to invest a lot of effort and BTC!

And before the screechers jump in to prove I'm mainly in it for a profit, let me spare you're efforts, of course this is a big motivator as well. But I'd rather get it right with this one than all the other coin initiatives, who, IMHO will never be based on a story that can be read in the above article (and you screechers for sure will NOT have read it, that is something i'm starting to become aware of more and more!)

I'm pretty sure Icelanders will be thrilled about a crypto coin that:
a) is bouncing up and down like fiat money
b) depends highly on a centralized trading website , you run from banks and you end up with shady trading websites
c) has no real demand besides trading.

People who run from banks and other financial institution will like this coin a lot. Right now it covers all the bad things in fiat that their national currency does.

When you talk about aur and 99% of the pots are about price , then it's a failure.

First thing should be establishing a localaurora website , so you get rid of a possible mtgox fiasco
Second would be a campaign for shops to accept aurora

And third.... it's too far away to think about it.


you don't understand the difference. this coin is preprogrammed how many it will put out. the problem with fiat is the govts can keep making more whenever they want in most nations.

the reason cryptos are attractive as a wealth storage option is for those people in countries where they are concerned about massive inflation due to dilution of their share of the total currency.

if and when we see cryptos adopted as a mainstream investment and trading / commerce tool, we will start to see more stability. we are in fact still in the early stages of growth for this market, and even the most well established coins still face a lot of volatility.

just believe me when I say in some cases that volatility is preferable to what looks like a guaranteed reduction in value if you happen to live somewhere that is economically fuct. like Iceland. im not saying this is all definitely going to work out, just that the premise and rationale of the supporters arguments are quite valid. in some cases.

Probably you don't understand also something.
The coin is "initially"  programmed. That's the dark side of any crypto. If the devs increase the coins tenfold and enough people follow that chain , that's it.

Same with fiat , if people still use the Zimbabwe dollar , they will still use the x10aur as well.
Look how well the people who invested in doge accepted that there would be twice the amount of coins in the next 10 years.

Also , you're comparing some coins with aurora.
Aurora wasn't supposed to be like the others , if it was a normal project I wouldn't even bother reading this thread.
But they claimed something , and they chose the path of other coins that ended as a failure.


yes I agree that they can change if the community ( or miners really I guess?) accepts the proposed change and follows the new chain. but so far this hasn't been too common a problem, most well established cryptos have little problems in this area that I am aware of.

my point was simply the alternative is watching your money you earned die in a fire, kind of like chasing your tail around. you can work for money, but u better spend it quick otherwise its not worth as much. can you see why a govt might be more interested in this sort of system?

this is why cryptos are happening.
