1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 31, 2017, 01:11:03 PM
Good app, looking forward the next few months. I hope the number we initially picked for the limited editions will be kept as is. Best of luck to Mona.co team.

PS: The invite link doesn't seem to work properly, at least on Android devices.

Thanks to contributions from @Freefactomizer, our sports oracle got a lot better.

Now it also supports MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL.  You can browse the past and upcoming games and find the feed name for entering into your p2p betting contract.  And with the new contract forms, it takes very little typing to make a contract.  After the outcome of the requested game is known, you'll get notified by the oracle.  Try it.

Please retweet: https://twitter.com/CryptKeeperBTT/status/901155695684456448

Would be awesome if it supported tennis betting, especially with the US open coming starting in the next few days. I guess it's too late.
Good job anyways guys
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HEAT: 3.0 crypto*multisig fiat*a2a hft*1000tps*DSA*PoS+PoP*e2ee chat* on: June 19, 2017, 01:25:54 PM
So IOTA listed with market cap of $1.6B

Heat is attempting to do a similar thing by slicing the blockchain, and thus not needing to download a huuuge blockchain...but...we are getting little exposure without being on a decent exchange.
Hopefully soon  Tongue

IOTA is pure vaporware with a manipulated market cap, don't compare it with HEAT.
Why is it vaporware?

Quantum resistant algo - Quantum computing doesn't exist yet, how can something be resistant to something that doesn't even exist
Machine currency - Why have an ICO with humans involved if only machines can use this currency and why do machines need currency at this moment
Developer- When asked questions (even just for help) or you question his project, right away turns anti-social, acts like he is high/mighty and deletes posts like that immediately from his announcement thread
Angel investors pulled out of the project, they had issues with the developer, the market cap is all pure manipulation.
$1+ billion cap on first day listing on cmc on only one small exchange - That's a red flag
Users are reporting that the wallet is useless, I tried all the version of the wallet and indeed you cannot even use it
This all points to a lot of promises that can't be delivered and are deliberately being pushed so people who know nothing about tech will throw their BTC at it

IOTA might not die out right away but it will. Many will reap profit but it is not a long term project especially with the dev's history of starting coins in the past and abandoning them when it was convenient to start more vaporware

Just quoting this for when iota will be + $10b marketcap. You sound like someone who missed the ICO. Latest version of the wallet works perfectly- there were a ton of tests on throughput and network reached more than 1000 tps - I have not seen any other crypto having as many partnerships as Iota (and I mean serious corporate partnerships, prototypes being built etc..) - you call bitfinex a small exchange?lol - did you also forget to mention Iota doesn't have any tx fee? how convenient.
PS: I'm a heat holder as well, but let's not discourage someone to discover on his own what could be one of the greatest tech in crypto. Thx

hey Ohad, are you still selling? Seems like I can't get a hold of you via PM, so just making sure, though I know you must have full inbox.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: June 07, 2017, 07:34:17 PM
Hello,

I see in the roadmap not anything concrete before March 2018 - long time for crypto, by that time so much will happen. How much work was done before the crowdsale, what are the main drivers for the March 2018 target of the exchange capabilities?

Just trying to get the necessary inputs before investing big money, thanks.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 07, 2017, 04:28:23 AM
anyone knows how to derive private key from parity phrase (12 words)?

Alternatively, since MEW removed the possibility to use parity, how can we follow up on bid (not new bid as explained in their note, but reveal at least from the parity account)? thx

Ok, fuck it.  I was gonna put 1 BTC into this but I guess I'll just leave my investment at 0.01 BTC and go buy some more Byteball instead....
This is what you do:
Make a btc address off site if you want with a 12 word recovery phase. Go to the site enter that 12 word recovery phase. You will now have access to the wallet which has your btc on it. Then just press the send all button if you want to sent it all or enter a certain value and contribute...

what if I sent from a wallet I own, not necessarily with 12 words. I sent the BTC to the address given, is there anything else I need to do?
well you should've kept the 12 words which they gave you before you were given the address. Then you send the funds to your new btc wallet address and then send the funds off by contributing how much you want

You did not understand the question but that's ok, I think I'm good, just checked the balance. Remember you were not obligated to use their wallet generation - I used my own, I was simply wondering if there was anything else to do other than sending the BTC to the address shown. The answer is no.

What's the step after you send the BTC to the provided BTC address? Is there anything else to do, I don't see a next step the decrypt wallet is for when you don't choose your own right?
10  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: MultiBitHD and Electrum Question on: May 25, 2017, 12:52:56 PM
I've had MultiBit HD do something similiar... where it won't activate the "next" button for some reason... I usually just click "previous", reselect that i want to restore and try typing the 12 words in again (NOTE: don't try and copy/paste it in either).

You can also double check your 12 words here: (NOTE: Run an offline copy to be safe!) https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/

It even offers suggestions for mispelled words Smiley

Thanks, but I tried many things including checking the 12 words on that site, which says invalid mnemonic. So I'm really not sure what to do, I will PM my 12 words to the few that answered, maybe one of you can figure it out and let me know what the problem was. I'll be happy to give a part of the coins I am waiting for (not BTC).

If anyone can help that'd be nice;

I changed computer, knowing I had 12 wallet words, file backup, and password. I wrote down the wallet words in 2 different places, and I'm sure I did not make a mistake while doing it.

However, when I try to restore, and type the 12 words, I can't go the the next step. I also read a lot of threads, and therefore tried to find my private keys with tools such as https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/
But seems like it doesn't like my 12 words anyways. Is there a way to restore my wallet with just file backup (mbhd...zip.aes) and password? I can also give the 12 words to a dev or someone trustable, there is no balance but I need to private keys for an old ICO I made from an address.

What wallet did you use when you created your twelve word passphrase? You can in fact restore your wallet using mbhd...zip.aes. You'll need your twelve-word seed though, although it might work with multibit HD (just not other tools, due to incompatibility).

It was multibitHD, but the seed does not work when I try to recover the wallet. Or at least, the "next" button remains deactivated when I type in the twelve words in multibitHD

BS!

Lol skycoin has be in development for 4 years so in those 4 years you have never seen bitcointalk.org nor have you bothered to join midway and announce omg... total fail coin with default copy paste template hahah

you're wrong, you could at least do some BTT research before throwing such attack

So I got the ETH to my address and sent it back from ico address but it doesn't verify on the alpha wallet. It just keeps on checking. I used ethereum. Anyone else having problems with ETH verification?

Same here. I wrote an e-mail to the heat support yesterday, but no response until now. Will keep you informed when I get an answer.

Same happened for me . I spoke to a live chat representative and he said to me that it is ok and it's gonna be credited manually .
Can we see somewhere the genesis block just to make sure that everything's fine ?

Same problem here, alpha web client keeps on checking. Hopefully will get credited soon.

Not sure about genesis block but you can always find back your eth investment here I guess https://etherscan.io/address/0x4ea79a8ff56d39f5cb045642d6ce9cb0653e5e47

Can anyone help me understand the status for the initial investors? I understand that livenet didn't launch, but are we supposed to have our tokens yet? I don't see any clear information around that, the OP has clearly not been updated, yet I see some pre-trading on some exchanges - how do we claim our investment?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tao - Real Solutions for the Music Industry! on: September 25, 2016, 12:23:06 AM
so what's the deal here, can someone explain or provide a brief status? I tried the slack invitation but never received it

Right now we are pretty much waiting for it to hit block 10K so PoW rewards kick in and we can get transactions moving in and out, Bryce has also stated they have made tremendous progress in the background this week and are close but not yet ready for beta. So i expect within the next 2weeks-Months you will see POW rewards kick in, Tao Enter beta in which artists can become involved and many more cool surprises. (Hopefully)

Thanks, appreciate this update.

Is there any reason why there is zero public discussion/update so far? Not  much here, no reddit blog or anything... Is there a valid way of entering the slack? The link in the OP doesn't send invites properly.

I participated in early phase with 0.8BTC, however on the website I can't find my BTC address. Is there another place we are supposed to check?
