I though that Thorcoin was supposed to cut in half every three weeks. What are the dates the coin cuts payouts? I thought it was supposed to cut yesterday.

Thorcoin isn't dead. It's very young and in a sea of new coins. Rome wasn't built in a day. Mining isn't a get rich quick scheme.

I am unsure if Coinswap is a good exchange. Do they charge high fees to withdraw coins? I will mine some dogecoin to that address to get Thorcoin on the exchange. A new exchange can only help spread the Thorcoin around. I am assuming that by coinswap posting the wallet address for Thorcoin they will list it if they get enough dogecoin. It's not going to be rejected after the funds are raised.

You must have a computer. I would think about getting a single Gridseed miner to see how it all works. It will cost you around two hundred bucks. The good thing about them is they can be scaled up into a monster mining rig. The thing about mining is its very unstable. One day you may be in the money and others you come up empty. You have to pick and choose what to mine and know it may be worth nothing in the long run. When you get a winner it's a rush that is for sure. The best advice you can get is start small. You shouldn't invest a lot before you run a rig for awhile. It takes time to learn the ropes.

Gridseeds are neat learning devices as they mine both SHA265 and Scrypt. Less expensive that a graphics card system.

Yeah bring on the asic miners! The scrypts I have been mining for months will come into their own! Necessity being the mother of invention, a new coin will pop up for graphics cards. Thorcoin is already jane scrypt. Maybe it will get some love from the out of work graphic card miners.

I am a little foggy on how a stake works. Does it just show up in your wallet? What does it do?

Can I mine wolf or is it trade wolf only? I have hit a couple of blocks but I didn't get any wolf in my wallet.

I really like the idea of a Sherlock coin. I would suggest, for a higher adoption rate, remove the reference to the TV show and go with the Sir Author Conan Doyle caricature of Sherlock Holmes. I am going to mine up some coin for the project.

Volume has to do with exchanges and exchanges have to do with volume. It's a catch-22.

I think exchanges will list the coin based on mining difficulty as well as volume. Thorcoin is getting more difficult to mine and supply will also start to dry up at some point. It doesn't seem like it now but it can happen. I expect if we land one exchange in combination with two cuts in payouts next month Thorcoin will be fine.

Thorcoin is just a young coin. It takes time to get established. There will always be people that think a coin is dead, right up until it hits another exchange.

Sorry mindfox. We were recently burn by another pool and a different coin. Sorry if you think I am out to get you when your pool glitches out. I have nowhere to turn if you don't answer emails. My brother mined for hours and donated it all to you in hopes you didn't down the pool. I wasn't mad at you at all. In fact we would rather mine your pool over the others. I am donating 10% sorry again. We all get busy sometimes.
