1  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB: $8 PP for my $14 BTC on: September 01, 2013, 07:01:22 PM
I have bought this code.
But you never sent it to me. . .

Locking thread until/unless I confirm bl4kjaguar will not send a usable code and email address to use.
2  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB: $8 PP for my $14 BTC on: August 30, 2013, 11:46:40 PM
I need an unlock code for FoxFi/PDAnet for android, it costs $8 PP here:
http://pdanet.co/buy/
YOU NEED TO SEND FIRST. If you can't trust me, then stop and go away, it's $8. . .

After you buy, forward me the Email used and "PdaNet" serial code from the order receipt.
It shows the code as being PDANETANDRXXXX and asks to input the email also.
Include a btc address for payment.
After I verify it, I'll send you $14 in bitcoins for it.
I'll use bitcoin average for the rate.

post here to reserve AFTER you buy it.

DON'T RESERVE until AFTER you buy the code and you must send first, if you can't trust me, go away.
I can verify on localbitcoins if that helps you trust me with $8 PP.
3  Economy / Services / Re: WTB $8 FoxFi unlock for 0.1 BTC on: August 17, 2013, 06:31:54 AM
PMd

None of those codes/combinations worked.

This offer is still open for the first person who buys the code and sends it to me.
4  Economy / Services / WTB $8 FoxFi unlock for 0.1 BTC on: August 17, 2013, 05:20:56 AM
I need an unlock code for FoxFi/PDAnet for android, it costs $8 in the play store, but I'll need one that is unused.

If you get me the Email and last 4 characters of the "PdaNet" serial code from the order receipt that works on the foxfi upgrade screen, I'll pay you for it.
It shows the code as being PDANETANDRXXXX and asks to input the email also.

So, you'll make $10 in bitcoins for $8 buying the code.

post here to reserve after you buy it.
5  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (out out funds until Tuesday 05/28) on: May 28, 2013, 04:35:27 PM
Would it be possible to remove my name and address from your records after conducting a transaction with you?
Sorry if you already answered, maybe just link to the post where it is discussed.

Edit: Just to clarify, are there any reputable services that don't retain records and/or turn them over to the US for sending me USD for my BTC? Maybe like a Canadian or Mexican company?
Please PM me links instead of spamming this thread, I need cash but don't want to support the US welfare/warfare state directly.
6  Economy / Currency exchange / Have BTC, Want USD Cash in Mail, Priority, to US POBox, $300-$1K on: May 28, 2013, 03:09:31 PM
I normally trade for MP's but my cards stopped accepting MP's, so I want USD Cash in mail.
Feel free to post here or PM, but please include your email address if you want a reply.
I have an escrow agent, but if you have one you like better, I'm flexible.
We can talk on phone or chat on Torchat, or email. Don't use other services much. Just give me your contact info, one of those three if you want to discuss it.
7  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [Linux] Autominer v0.3.2.6 - GPU Monitor, Downtime Swapper, New Interface on: August 12, 2011, 12:01:21 AM
Why isn't this stickied yet?

Works very nicely except requires modding "miner.sh" file to avoid the even card failure toggle back bug which prevents switching pools when an even number of cards is attempting to switch.
Email me if you want the version of miner.sh to prevent this.

This needs upgrade for more than 2 pools and also timed switch back to main pool after failure, but those aren't necessary.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want BTC! I have $USD$ Prepaid VISA gift-credit CARDS, Check, MoneyPak, etc. on: August 09, 2011, 09:57:56 AM
still have $$$$, still want more BTC. . .
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want BTC! I have $USD$ Prepaid VISA gift-credit CARDS, Check, MoneyPak, etc. on: August 06, 2011, 06:08:25 AM
Please PM me if you are interested. I need a moneygram if possible.

I sent you messages, tried to work something out.

Right now the easiest, fastest, and safest thing is these $500 Moneypaks, you can load them to Paypal, prepaid visa cards, or there's online money sites also that can load with them.
10  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Official CGMINER thread - CPU/GPU miner in C for linux/windows/osx on: August 06, 2011, 03:16:43 AM
Using catalyst 11.6, xfce, sdk 2.5, current cgminer running in xterm - it seems to crash after running for minutes or hours, plmk if others are having this issue.

Also, anyone have an analysis of the scan-time feature and how 60 was chosen as default.
Same for retries, kernel, queue (why it goes all the way to zero and then up to 7).

Also, how long does it take to switch to higher priority pools (in failover) and how exactly the threads choose which pool for all the methods.

Also, does it donate shares to the developer?

Thanks!
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Temporary version of windows for flashing ATI bios on: August 05, 2011, 01:33:54 AM
I have 2 5830's that I'm trying to overclock on a linux box, but as far as I can see the only way to do it is in windows.  I don't currently have a windows 7 license to use for my mining rig (but I have one on my laptop).  Anyone know a good way for me to get access to windows for an hour or two to unlock the card?  Is there a trial account or flash drive method to do this?

for the results you need, use catalyst 11.6 in linux.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pool Reward Comparison on: August 04, 2011, 02:55:47 AM
Anyone made a fresh pool reward comparison lately?
Without block % contributed reported, it will require a little extra work to compare (shares submitted divided by shares in the block), but its still worth it to see how various proportional vs pps pools are treating miners.
13  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want BTC! I have $USD$ Prepaid VISA gift-credit CARDS, Check, MoneyPak, etc. on: August 04, 2011, 02:15:21 AM
New month means fresh $$$ to spend on BTC at new lower prices!
msg me or go through the website in sig.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want BTC! I have $USD$ Prepaid VISA gift-credit CARDS, Check, MoneyPak, etc. on: July 08, 2011, 04:01:33 PM
I recently had a purchase agreement for 82 BTC, referred from the site in my sig.
The guy sent me the coins.
I got the $$$ together to go buy the W/U for $1K.
He canceled.
I sent his BTC back to him.

It happens I guess. . .
15  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 100 BTC! on: July 08, 2011, 03:53:17 PM
I thought this thread was locked? guess not, was the other one.

funny how the mod moved my pool comparison thread out of mining and into other because of ideological differences (the mod thought it was ok to take my btc, I disagreed), BUT these scammers have threads at the top of the currency exchange forum. . .
16  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paying TOP DOLLAR for BTC--$18 per BTC, WTB 20 BTC (PayPal, Dwolla, money order) on: July 08, 2011, 03:46:46 PM
I was tempted to reply after initially seeing this post. For generally the reasons everyone else has, but with no intent of actually doing business.
But then a sick thought came to me. . .
Maybe if nobody else (after mdking clearly pointed out the BS) responded here then this thread would die and stop going back up to the top of the list.

Obviously not a viable option, since this is such a crazy post for multiple reasons, too good of a bait for replies.

If someone has never been scammed, it is probably not worth the trouble to protect them from gaining the valuable practical knowledge that scammers exist and they should learn to differentiate an obviously scam poster like this and legitimate traders.

Of course, it might be worth paying and trusting an intermediary (exchanges, etc.) to handle your btc if you're not comfortable discriminating.
17  Bitcoin / Pools / p2pool - Decentralized, Absolutely DoS-Proof, Pool Hopping-Proof Pool [archival] on: July 07, 2011, 06:27:18 PM
Keeping track of the last 600 shares in a distributed environment seems hard.  Let me suggest an alternative for you that seems much simpler, and in fact I came up with specifically to design a decentralized pool:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25540.0
noone in that thread understood it, but hopefully as a programmer it should be clear to you.  The idea is simple: just auction the block reward to the N highest bidders, where a "bid" is a share and "high" means "low hash".
Your method there is rather askew from the standard btc client and mining protocol, no?
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [Linux] Autominer v0.3.2.6 - GPU Monitor, Downtime Swapper, New Interface on: July 07, 2011, 05:42:01 PM
Sigh. . .

With the DDOS's hitting the good pools, I need more than 2 pools to cycle through.

I'm using one of your original versions, because the newer ones never worked with the autosetup.

Can I just add pool 3, 4 etc. in the common file and corresponding entries in the cards file?

I'll probably just try this anyways, since it's kinda necessary, unless I go back to solomining as backup. . .

If there's anything extra I need to modify, PLMK.
Thanks!

I did donate a little something to you, btw, if that matters.
19  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: "Why is Pool Hopping a Problem?" - If you use a PROPORTIONAL pool, read this! on: July 07, 2011, 12:26:18 AM
The problem with the wtfpps system is it operates under the false assumption of an infinite mining contract.
What if I mine on a wtfpps system for one full block of 30 minutes and receive a fraction of the normal proportional equivalent, then end the mining contract?
Doesn't the pool keep that unpaid difference (proportional expected - wtfpps rewarded)?
Simple example - The entire bitcoin network uses wtfpps for 5minutes, finds a block, then quits to go back to keeping their full earnings each round. Payout is maybe 25btc (or less in faster finds) and unpaid of 25btc. This extra 25 btc will be spent by the pool eventually won't it? Or you keep it in reserve ad infinitum in hopes of the whole bitcoin network giving you more work?
Am I missing something for the single block miner in this case?
2) Miner X mines for exactly one round in a SMPPS pool.  Lets say the pool had an unlucky round, Miner X gets 15 BTC (because he had to mine for longer), while he would have gotten 10 BTC if the pool was set to proportional.  This extra 5 BTC came from the buffer. (If there is a negative buffer, Miner X will get paid when the pool has a short round, even if he stops mining.)
. . . However, in scenario 2 the miner got paid an extra 5 BTC that he wouldn't have in a prop pool. . . .
. . . As has been obviously demonstrated in the OP, the proportional system is not perfect either.  Would you like to have your earnings reduced by 12% because someone else is pool hopping while you are not? . . .
outside of the big 2 ppser's, I have the impression all the smaller wtfpps systems limit individual miner rewards to a MAXIMUM of proportional contributions over the length of the miner career. E.G. if a miner only mines one long round and quits, they got lucky and will get the full proportional amount (20% of shares gets 10BTC). The long term target of the wtfpps system approaches with infinite rounds is the proportional payout. Are there any miners that have received higher BTC credit than their share % contributed? I don't think so, they didn't on eligius at least. Please link their stats if I'm wrong.
Next - proportional being unfair - no, i don't think so. It never gives less than the submitted shares % of the round, never more.
It's just more fair to the miners with more omniscience of where to work at. The more informed miner with ability to locate fresh pools can get better odds per share.
Just like people can choose where to spend their BTC, some places will give better deals than others. It doesn't make it unfair to everyone spending btc at bad rates because the more informed buyer spends their btc strategically.
Also similar, the only way to capitalize it to have huge amounts of btc to spend to exploit your omniscience of market conditions. The same goes for mining, the more GH you have to rotate between pools, the more you can exploit good deals for submitted shares.
As I posted before, the easy fail safe solution is to simply delay stats by the average pool round time divided by 2 to actually punish the hoppers (give them worse deals for submitted shares), while the steady miners continue to enjoy proportional share rewards.
Of course this is a problem for pools starting out, and I can respect that if they want to not allow the poolhoppers to benefit from the pool by refusing (to continue with) proportional rewards for any of the miners.
Admittedly, *theoretically* the miner will get proportionally rewarded from the perfect pps system if they mine infinitely.
But it seems the wtfpps market is already dominated by eligius, shich offers no login, no signup for the wtfpps benefits. Plus some cool pictures, wow.
