Is it possible to configure it to run it on the real blockchain?

Thanks

Give me $30K, have your exchange with any feature you'd like to add.
123  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] Project Zero Fees on: June 16, 2014, 12:09:56 AM
But I don't want any coins. I just want to make the transaction fees zero. Maybe there's a way sending the newly generated coins to the network to make other miners who cry for transaction fees happy.

Or maybe when the last bitcoin is mined, such a project may be started.
124  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What does "difficulty" mean? on: June 15, 2014, 11:57:09 PM
Miners issue new coins in the new blocks as well as they confirm transactions. When difficulty rises, creating a block gets harder, which means that issuing new coins gets harder, but does it mean that confirming a transaction, too, gets harder?
125  Bitcoin / Project Development / [IDEA] Project Zero Fees on: June 15, 2014, 10:50:43 PM
Hi all,

One of the greatest discomforts and complexities about bitcoins is transaction fees. The fact that it is negligible when compared to the fees charged by prevailing financial institutions is not an excuse. So, I think a group of charitable persons might get to work to reduce the bitcoin transaction fees to zero.

If one has enough CPU power to handle all the transactions and choose not to take any fee, is it possible, then, to achieve zero transaction fees? Can a miner choose not to generate new bitcoins but dedicate all their power to transactions for this purpose? If so, I can donate for and manage a project to help discard the fees.

I need to know if such a project is doable.

Thanks

I thinks GBLSE tried something similar. Here is what the owner Nefario said after it was shut down...

I don't think our project has something to do with that one. Well, you cannot categorise all concepts involving "shares" under the same heading.
127  Bitcoin / Project Development / Next Generation Equity Crowdfunding Platform with Bitcoin on: June 05, 2014, 05:35:39 PM
We bring three revolutionary financial developments together: Equity crowdfunding, crowdfunding's secondary market, and crypto-currencies.

1. Equity Crowdfunding - Hyperfunding - Crowd Investment

The first of the three revolutionary approaches which our platform will be the first to put together is equity crowdfunding. In the current prevailing crowdfunding platforms including Indiegogo, people fund campaigns either to donate or in return of some bounties. However, with equity crowdfunding, people fund businesses in return of a share in the business. The following video, by one of the leading equity crowdfunding platforms, explains the main idea briefly. This type of crowdfunding is also called hyperfunding or crowd investment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioJ3aDMljyo

2. Crowdfunding's Secondary Market

The crowd investments are known for their illiquidity, meaning that you cannot sell your share once you invest. Our platform will provide investors with trading tools, letting the shares of businesses be traded beginning from the crowdfunding's first day. Currently, there is no public second market for crowdfunding, neither is there any for start-up businesses. This improvement will supply a natural investor protection, as well as a second profit source for investors.

3. Crypto-Currencies

The following video will give the basic idea:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmFjmvwPGKU

Accepting bitcoins will facilitate global investments and help reduce transaction fees. Besides, representing equity shares with coloured coins will decentralise the investment/trade network, allowing investors to transfer their shares without any dependency to a third party.

Additional information on the tenets of coloured coins may be found in the following article: http://bitcoinowl.com/coinprism-first-bitcoin-based-colored-coins-web-wallet-changes-everything

Our team is working hard to provide the technical and legal infrastructure for a crowd investment platform where people can benefit from the earnings of the businesses they fund, with the help of coloured coins representing equity shares.

The World's First Hyperinvestment Platform

We believe that our platform will revolutionise the current practises of doing business, providing a more democratic and decentralised way of funding, investing, trading and entrepreneurship. Such an advance deserves a different name: hyperinvestment.

Seed the world's first hyperinvestment platform - join the revolution!

ParaSitecoin (PRST43rd) is worth just as much as one 42 coin. It is the 43rd 42 coin, which has all its value only because I say so. This coin is an experiment to just wait and see how it is actually going to have the same value as one 42 coin eventually.

The total reserve is restricted to one coin. It is divisible up to the 8th decimal. To have this coin, please follow the steps below:

1. Make sure your bitcoin wallet is not colour-blind.
2. Send this address as much 42 coins as you wish: 4XonkX3farXoQ82xYCSdF6zZfpiRq1ZkFT (make sure you don't exceed the available reserve)
3. Send parasitic43rd@gmail.com an e-mail proving you've sent the 42 coins. Please write "BUY" as the subject, and don't forget to mention your colored coin address.
4. Wait to have your ParasiteCoins in your colored coin wallet.

Hi,

The algorithms based on moving average differences and/or crosses are I think famous for generating false signals and causing more loss than profit to the investor. Am I the only one who cares algorithmic trading much enough to implement something advanced in a trading bot?

Hi,

Thanks for your work! Can you explain what this bot actually does? Is it an algorithmic trading bot?

I had 2 MtGox bitcoins and I can sell them for your non-MtGox bitcoins at a good price, but how am I supposed to send bitcoins from MtGox?

they are buying your mt gox login so when and if the service turns back on they will have access to your account to cash out or continue to sell.
Oh, but I have a lot more than 2 BTC in total.

Hi knbitcoin,

Thanks for your interest. If you check their website, there is an article describing ALMA, and there are sample codes calculating it. In the article, there is no 2, and there are some other differences as well. But in the code they write, which I only translate to PHP, there is this 2, which in fact improves the result. But I don't know why it is there.

139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Relative Strength Index on: March 01, 2014, 01:55:56 AM
Hi fellows,

I have a question which may sound a bit numb. Why do traders use RSI instead of RS? For instance, let's say that we determine overbought/oversold lines as 20 and 80 using RSI. Then it's exactly the same as using RS and setting the lines to 0.25 and 4. The only difference is RS ranges from 0 to infinity whereas RSI is calculated so as to be fit in the range of 0 and 100. That may be meaningful for a human trader but I don't see any reason for using RSI in an algorithmic trading software. Any ideas?

Addition: Or you may have 100*exp(-RS) so that you have an index between 0 and 100.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Arnaud Legoux Moving Average on: March 01, 2014, 01:35:51 AM
Hi fellows,

Let me introduce you ALMA, the best moving average I've ever utilised. This is the website of Arnaud Legoux, where you can find related explanations: http://www.arnaudlegoux.com.

And this is the simple PHP implementation of it:

Code:
function ALMA ($data) {
$sigma = 6;
$offset = 0.85;
$size = count ($data);
$m = $offset * ($size - 1);
$s = $size / $sigma;
$sum = 0;
$norm = 0;
for ($i = 0; $i < $size; $i++) {
$coeff = exp (- ($i - $m) * ($i - $m) / 2 * $s * $s);
$sum += $data[$size - $i - 1] * $coeff;
$norm += $coeff;
}
return $sum / $norm;
}

The array $data will compromise the last closing values, data[0] being the most recent one. It is argued that an odd value for the size of the array would yield better results.

Any opinion is welcome!
