Looks great! I'll keep messing around with it and see if I have any suggestions.

People losing coins due to weak pass phrases will continue. I suggest NXT does something similar to what Electrum does: force on users randomly generated phrase of 12 words or something like this.

What do you think?
At the very least something of that sort. And sure, it should be the user's responsibility to keep his or her money safe, but if Nxt wants any sort of mainstream audience you have to be willing to put up some safety net for the less knowledgeable users.

It is NRS - What does that stand for?
and yeah the https works the same as the http... The gui is there but no nxt in wallet... Weird

Try removing "blocks.nxt" from the NXT folder (Back it up just in case though, I don't know enough about NXT to be sure if it's important) and then start it up. I had the same problem and that fixed it.
Did this too and it didn't solve anything.

Hmm.. It's not a big deal yet. If it doesn't update in a few days and we can't trouble shoot it I may be a little sad but not destroyed heh
It's definitely something to do with the client. If you feel like it, try redownloading the NXT client, making a new folder, and starting it from there. If that works, it's probably one of the *.nxt files that's causing you problems.

@bugs:

Client 3.10 seems not to work here. I get no web interface ("The connection was reset" error)
3.6 (my last update before 3.10) works well.

I had it too, even if java was not running anymore the port was still locked. After a reboot 3.10 started working.

Thanks. I tried this, I think the error was to connect without "https". With https://localhost:7875 it connects now.

Now the client gets stuck (no new blocks etc.) and I get a java.lang.NullPointerException at start. Also, the webpage title is "NRS", not "NXT". Is this right? Or is this a fake client? (I didn't unlock my account as it seems strange).

Change that to https:// and it should work perfectly

I'm also interested in a founder spot. I'll keep an eye on this thread for any updates!

What was the nature of the phishing attack? If it was through a website or email address then that's another place to look for information. That being said, after 2 years I think the trail might be a little cold. I wish you the best of luck though!
233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining charity on: November 28, 2013, 02:50:26 AM
I think just about the most important part of a charitable undertaking like this would be transparency, especially with the stigma attached to crypto-currencies at the moment. Having an easily accessible way of showing how many coins have been mined and showing where they've gone would go a long way.

Oh, and one small note; Kickstarter has a policy against "charitable" projects for whatever reason. So you'd probably want to look into an alternative crowdfunder (There are tons though).
