btw, I'd rather see bitcoinaverage.com than gox Smiley

^^^

Having Mt Gox as the price source seems like the wrong way to go considering the issues people are having with them and getting money out.
602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Robot - Worlds First Bitcoin Robot on: August 13, 2013, 01:53:25 PM
This is definitely not the first trading bot out there, I saw some 2 years ago... so you're a little far from being "the worlds first automated Bitcoin Trader".

This does sound pretty sketchy.
603  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BTC Robot ~ 1st Bitcoin Robot 7 Licence Giveaway on: August 12, 2013, 10:58:54 PM
Another point for the scam-o-meter, when I searched "bitcoinrobotreview.com" there was no other mention of this website on the entire forum.
604  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BTC Robot ~ 1st Bitcoin Robot 7 Licence Giveaway on: August 12, 2013, 08:33:30 PM
This looks like a scam because the website basically talks about making free money without ever specifying how it's done.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
605  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcointalk forums accounts for sale. Accounts from 2012 just .15btc on: August 12, 2013, 08:17:46 PM
Why people buying your accounts?

I don't understand why anyone would want this...

For scams. Although if they're just junior accounts then they're more suspicous than a modern junior account...

this is for shure.
I can't belie that Moderators have not blocked you yet

Clearly you did not read through this thread... the second reply is from me, a moderator, stating that selling accounts is allowed.  I did that to preempt everyone who would say it's not allowed.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your questions for a miner on: August 12, 2013, 02:41:42 PM
I will be interviewing an active miner later in the week, and thought I'd ask the community what they'd like asked.

David

What's an "active miner"?  I have an Avalon running at home, so I think I'm an active miner.
607  Other / Meta / Re: Quick phising attempt by user on: August 12, 2013, 02:16:12 PM
If you get a PM like that click the "Report to Admin" link.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your questions for a miner on: August 12, 2013, 02:15:26 PM
If you could ask a miner 3 questions, what would it be?

David

I think I'd look for someone who has been registered on the forum for longer than a month.
609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trust System on: August 12, 2013, 01:06:14 AM
is there any weighting function on the trust system? like if i am trusted by a 3 highly trusted people or by 3 people that aren't trusted by anybody, do I have the same trust score either way?

The scores only show on the trust system when feedback is left by people in the your trust network.
610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7gh miner found on: August 09, 2013, 08:25:36 PM
2 HDMI ports ?

lol
Yeah, HDMI ports on a miner aren't very important unless you're mining Scrypt. Believe it or not, what you really need is a quality sound card. The quartz in the frequency regulator causes an effect known as symbiotic vibration increase in the GPU, resulting in a dramatically higher clock rate without any of the cost or risk involved in conventional overclocking. BFL and Avalon both utilize this technology in their VaporMiner lines.

10/10 would read again
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adding More Decimal Places To Bitcoin Would Be Printing More Money. on: August 09, 2013, 11:50:30 AM
No adding more decimal places is not like printing more money.

If I have 10/21 million bitcoins, what's the difference in having 100/210 million bitcoins?  None, I have the same proportion of bitcoins as before!

It would probably change things psychologically but from a numbers standpoint it does nothing.
612  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: August 09, 2013, 11:41:59 AM

Why even bother to link that?  It's a copy/paste of the OP from this thread.
613  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: August 09, 2013, 11:33:28 AM
Donator/VIP/Staff drama.
Right, but what is the problem?

Theymos this is why we are upset.

Who's "we?" Just Goat?

"We" is mainly just Goat and maybe one or two other people.

I'm sorry man but you fail at counting and fail at understanding what the word "only" means.

Most of your posts are pretty solid but the recent ones in this threads are shocking.

Anyone who is a mod should understand the word "only" and even if you use your fingers and count the number of people posting in that thread you will find you will run out of fingers before you stop counting names.

My 6 year old knows what "only" means and can count way over 10...

You can try to make me look silly but doing things like saying only a few people care, or "only" is semantics... That is a lame way to try and win.

Theymos clearly said "only" VIP and donators get in that forum, however that is not true. I want him to correct the issue ASAP. Posting about it in the donators sub forum seemed better than meta or the scammer section but maybe I was wrong...

So the semantics comment was wrong, but I stand by it's only you and one or two other donators causing the stink about this.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRAL BANKS PRINTING MONEY VS BITCOIN on: August 08, 2013, 08:24:13 PM
To answer your question, banks will be obsolete. As every individual is in control of their own economy there is no need for banks.

No, bitcoin does not mean the end of banks.  Do you expect everyone to handle their own money?  People are still going to want loans, and places to keep their money.

https://coins-e.com We have had a face lift, and added many more coins just for you.

I cannot take anyone seriously that uses the avatar you are currently using...
617  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: August 07, 2013, 04:07:49 PM
There is now a forum section accessible only to donators/VIPs.

This is what we never got.

Theymos this is why we are upset.

If what you say is true link me to it.

As a vip i can not find it.

Semantics...
618  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-06 " Bitcoin can be used as money" on: August 07, 2013, 03:29:17 PM
My edit was just correcting the title, changed "2019" to "2013"
619  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get a neutral in the trust system? on: August 03, 2013, 03:57:41 PM
Would definitely be useful for leaving notes.  I know I'd use it a decent amount for sketchy looking stuff in the newbie section.

Also, using an old address for something like this?  http://blockchain.info/address/1Lofk1ArQ3NfcrKiUqYZVumEGgvvTPQmEV
