Research honeypots are run to gather information about the motives and tactics of the Blackhat community targeting different networks. These honeypots do not add direct value to a specific organization; instead, they are used to research the threats that organizations face and to learn how to better protect against those threats. Research honeypots are complex to deploy and maintain, capture extensive information, and are used primarily by research, military, or government organizations.

3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: March 24, 2014, 02:46:31 PM
Ok, now "test" is also visible in coinmap.org
each modification you do will need some time (around 15-45 min) to be updated in coinmap.
Add all information: telephone, street, time of the opening in openstreetmap, I advice you also to change the icon: the "B" is to generic for your ATM is better another symbol.

i cant figure out how to choose a icon in the first place  Undecided anyway, i talked with the owner of the bitcoin atm and he is ok with the "B" icon, maybe we will change it in the futurle..
anyway, lets say all the info is added (he is working on it right now), how do we enable the "B" icon on the map, visible from far away like the other icons on the map? if this needs to be done only by a admin please do it when you have some time..

thanks for your time

edit: lol, now the B icon shows up on the "test" location ive made, but not on the real one nearby.. sorry for the confusion, could someone fix it? i will delete the location named "test" really soon, sorry for the confusion..anyway its working, just needs a little aim adjusting Wink

Very nice service!

im reading around as much as i can but im still confused about  something..
we have added a location on the map after following the tutorial posted by HostFat (grazie)
but we cant manage to have the Bitcoin icon visible on the map like other places, all we can see is a tag on the building, only visible if you zoom in a lot.

if you take a look for example at a place called "Handmade *" in Treviso (north Italy) you will see what i mean by Bitcoin icon..
what can we do about it?

thanks.

edit: the place is called "First Bitcoin ATM in Italy" and its located in Udine, viale palmanova 420.. i tried to edit it without changing anything and right now its no more visible on the map, even if i zoom in..maybe its just refreshing, i dont know, but we surely need some help getting the Bitcoin icon to display.

edit 2: i dint see the reply, sorry.. yes the "test" one is mine, i was trying to figure out how it works by creating a test place before editing the real one.
we are trying to get the bitcon atm place in Udine to work

Thats exactly what I asked him and he said that I was lucky to get .03 at 1.2 Mh/s
Something is wrong and needs to be fixed

how are your last payouts if i can ask you? mine from the 30th of november till today are 0.0356, 0.0357, 0.0173, 0.0243, 0.0145, 0.024, 0.0346, 0.0282, 0.0134, 0.0148 (todays one)
maybe we are following a similar path, and if thats the case i can be a little more sure that the source of the low earnings is not on my side.
i can understand 0.035 can be high for only 1.2Mh/s and could happend if a coin is way more profitable than another that day, but a drop of more than 50% of earnings overnight its just too weird.
i tried hashcows for a while today, but it doesnt report the right hashrate (only 800kh/s of 1200) and i get a shitload of rejected shares, also the esitmated balance is very bouncy, one moment is 0.002 after a while less and so on.. maybe im the only unlucky one with that pool, i dont know, but with middlecoin i was doing just great.. too great i guess

What's happening with the stuck funds is that there are 509 immature ANC, and 824 mature ANC unnacounted for, that I am trying to track down. It may be the case that they were already exchanged for bitcoins, or they might be in a possibly corrupt wallet file. Either way, I'll pay those funds out when I find out.

The bug that may have exchanged the funds without moving them over from "immature" to "mature" to "balance" has been fixed.

Also, there is some WDC on cryptsy that is frozen.

damn those are a lot of coins..i really hope it will be fixed soon..about the daily earnings, what can cause them to drop from 0.03xx to 0.01xxx? i even thought "maybe i started mining in a lucky day in the middle of a frenzy week where theres one scrypt coin that is twice as profitable as the others, and i got used to recieving 0.03 when normally i would have earned only 0.01 everyday". im kinda confused sorry.

thanks for the fast reply h2odysee.
may i ask you something else?
ive seen the middlecoin.com page updates every 5 minutes or so , could it be possible to make it update every 2 minutes? i have no idea if that would stress too much your server or something like that, if thats the case nevermind.

Hello, im noticing something weird since at least 6-7 days.. ive read in this thread there were problems with some immature unexchanged coins that could take up to 3 days to mature and to be payed out in bitcoin..
im mining since the last days of november with a 1.2MH/s rig, 24/7 except for some small breaks to change the cgminer configs.
i noticed that more or less with this rig i get 0.035 btc every day, sometimes 0.037, sometimes 0.034, but always around 0.030. the first days i was getting way less bitcoins, but after a while with the right configs i was getting 0.03xxxx every day.

more or less a week ago i noticed a huge drop in my earnings , since the 2nd of december i never recieved 0.03xxx again, in fact it happend only once since that day.
i constantly see that some immature unexchanged coins are stuck there, its more or less 0.01 bitcoins. During the day that number grows to lets say 0.018 and after a while the newest coins are correctly being exchanged (the 0.008 in this example), but that 0.01 simply doesnt move from there.. i know some scrypt coins take 3 days to mature, and maybe there are coins that take 5 days, but im 100% sure that no coin takes 10 days or more to mature.. correct me if im wrong please. i also remember that in the first days/weeks i never saw the immature unexchanged coins staying there for more than one day..

i would like to know whats happening, since it doesnt seem to be affecting only me, the other users with the same kh/s as me in the tab got more or less the same ammounts i do in all 3 rows..

i cant explain to myself why im getting out half of the bitcoins i used to.. the gpu are even going a little faster than before..i can recall two or three times that my rig was down for a couple of hours because i was working on it, and im not complaining that in those days i was getting less bitcoins, because thats obviously because i didnt mined for 24 hours straight. the payouts of 0.03xxx happend when the rig was running no-stop for days, like in this moment. Its running no-stop since at least six days but my last payouts are only 0.28xxx, 0.013xxx, 0.014xxx.

thank you for middlecoin, its a great pool, i really hope it goes back to what it was two weeks ago..

Hi there, im playing around with a website, and im planning to sell some stuff..
Since i find wordpress disgusting and i already wasted way to much time trying to build a semi decent website
i decided to do it myself with photoshop and dreamweaver. its a static website with maybe 20 pages.

im creating a couple of pages for some products, and i would like to do the following, since i read somewhere its possible:

on a static webpage, add in a certain location the bitpay "buy" button (ill read more about it in a moment and post info),
and add the shopping cart and payment plugin, so when a customer click a "checkout" button he will be redirected
to the bitpay payment page, like the one you get if you buy from namecheap with bitcoins.
that way, ive read, you recieve the bitcoin ammount directly to your electrum wallet (can it be a bitcoin-qt client wallet?)
and you are notified via email that a order of a x amount and x items has been placed and payed.

Its kinda obvious that im a newbie at making websites, in fact this one is more of a game and a test, if it will eventually work
and ill sell enought i will start learning more about the subjects.

What is buggin me is this: ok, i finished designing all the pages and ive done all the stuff with dreamweaver, the site itself is finished.
now what should i do to actually add a button under every product and the rest of the bitpay stuff?
i registered at bitpay and asked them if its possible and they replied a short sentence saying that yes i can do that.

if there are details missing that you would like to know say it and ill provide.
thank you. BTC

how about adding some hd 7950 instead? they are really cheap and perform very good, 640 - 650 kh/s each for me, with some overclocking i can get two of them at 1.4 MH/s.. right now they make more or less 0.04 btc a day, and i dont pay for energy.. not bad for 2 cards.. im planning to add more hd 7950 of course  Cool

i tried mining on feathercoin and other coins pools but it was kinda messy, all the clients, all the logins.. i switched to a middlecoin, that way its more clean, one wallett, no logins..
