Is there any other proof that this account belongs to that person "Telegram: @tkh23"?
I think they have the same username, but that account has been inactive for several months.

Is that script open source? Because it is strange to trust one ask you to run a script and send a certain amount to the address associated with that program.  "This makes the full amount paid/scammed $ 75 + 5001.3 DNR"

Sorry for your friend's loss. Smiley

Thanks for your post.
Yes, that is open source. My friend is not an IT man, then he run it without checking anything.
The scammer is there at the telegram account. And you are right, his account in Bitcointalk has been inactive for several months. Look like he changed the account in here. Mainly this post to point to account at telegram and lesson learnt for new user, do not run any script from anyone and stay away from this scammer account.

Again, thank you for your feedback.

Tam cheng.

I don't understand what the scam is here.  You said he sent you a script, so what is it he didn't do or send you?  The chat log content doesn't clearly explain to me what went wrong.

Edit:  OK, I tagged him--not that it'll do much good overall, since the account can be replaced with a brand new one.  OP ought to tag him as well.

thank you to review and tagged.

I would explain that this man sent my friend a script (actually sold my friend a script) and told my friend to install it in my friend's vps to get more reward in the masternode (DNR coin).
My friend did follow that man's instruction and when my friend set up that scrip in vps and also sent his coin to this vps. The script sent  some private key from vps to @tkh23 -scammer's IP. So all coins were taken and stolen.

In DNR discord channel, I saw admin also banned this man out of the channel as well ( due to of selling that kind of script, cheating people...)

This is also the big lesson learnt for my friend and all people. Dont trust anyone with any script with good marketing for you to have more profit.

thanks for your question.

What happened:

@tkh23 [telegram account: Michael stone (https://t.me/tkh23)] is Supper Scammer. He sold and sent my friend a script ($75) to install in my's friend VPS, then based on this script He stole my friend a big amount of coin (DNR). After that he banned my friend in telegram to can not contact him then. My friend speak English very bad, so he asked me to contact this man to ask for return the coin. I contacted this man, he also banned me after short chat because i showed the detail of his script to prove he stole my friend's coin. That's why I come here to report this.
Below is more detail relevant information. If requires I can provide more support documentation to prove he scammed and stole my friend's coins.

We are also doing scam report to FBI, Interpol, other channels... We also try to contact with police at his location and report about this issue.

Blockchain Basics 5 – Shared databases enhancing networks

When we think about blockchain, it is a place to keep, store, and exchange cryptocurrencies – but databases? The original purpose of blockchain was for digital currencies. Currently research is in progress all over the world on a great range of applications. For instance, blockchain become distributed databases. Like Google Docs, these databases enhance security and decentralization. Another asset is the distribution of digital information instead of copying it. This way, blockchain technology could actually become the back of a new type of internet.

“The blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions, but virtually everything of value.” – Don and Alex Tapscott, authors of Blockchain Revolution.

An ingenious invention
The blockchain is a unique invention. Adaptions and applications via blockchain technology could serve us in many ways. For this purpose, let us look at some possibilities listed above, starting with blockchain as a distributed database.

Picture a spreadsheet multiplied thousands of times across a network of computers. In the tech industry, these computers are known as “nodes”. Nodes are an integral part of blockchain technology.  Now, imagine this network of nodes regularly updating the spreadsheet. This works like any other reconciled database. However, a distributed database has millions of nodes working simultaneously. There is no centralized version of the information. It is open to the public. Verification is easy. Information is encrypted. This makes hacking or corrupting the blockchain nearly impossible.

Before Google Docs, we sent Microsoft pages and spreadsheets back and forth. We sent emails, editing and updating along the way. However, synchronous changes were not possible. Then came Google Docs, a free web-based application. It allows for creating, editing and storing documents and spreadsheets online in real time. Documents are private or shared among friends and co-workers. Any authorized user with a full-featured web browser can access the document. The blockchain allows for similar application development for legal contracts and shared ledgers.

No significant disruption
Invented in 2008, the blockchain has operated without significant disruption. To be clear, problems to-date were often caused by human error. Other reasons were inside hacking or mismanagement. Consequently, flaws in the underlying concept were not among the reasons.

A network that is not controlled by any single entity and no single point of failure is revolutionary. Storing blocks of identical information across such a network is full of potential. Correspondingly, this concept brings and keeps everyone to a high degree of accountability.

A state of consensus
The blockchain network lives in a state of consensus. It automatically checks in with itself every ten minutes. At this point, this self-auditing ecosystem reconciles every transaction. It then embeds it into public blocks for purposes of transparency. In any case, corrupting or altering any unit of information on the blockchain would require enormous computing power.

Thus, all of the above brings us back to blockchain’s underlying cause for success – decentralization. Today, a global network of computers uses blockchain technology to jointly manage database recording transactions. Decentralization means the network operates on a user-to-user, or peer-to-peer, basis. This structure runs on management by the network, and not by any one central authority.

The shared economy
All things considered, how blockchain technology may serve us in the future is just the tip of the iceberg. Blockchain creates a type of shared economy by enabling peer-to-peer payments. It opens the door to direct interaction between parties for supply chains or file storage. Crowdfunding, smart contracts, and even governance are other possible applications. This form of networks in mass collaboration will most certainly turn into a vital assets in various developments across a wide range of industries.

you talked to much, but do nothing, where is new wallet? where is new application? All promissed, promissing and will promiss ever. I sold all my Pura coin....and though that is good and right decision.
Hope all other people also sell all pura coin they have.

what is the staking rate for denarius?

I haven't tried staking yet, as my laptop is not a very high-end one. But it seems like there is a 6% APR on your current amount of coins. That means that if you got 1,000 coins and if you are staking 24-hours a day, 365-days a year, then you should get 60 coins from staking. That amounts to more than 0.1% per week. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Is there a guide about how to compile the wallet on Ubuntu? With the masternodes release happening soon it will be helpful. Can't remember how I did it last time but I struggled a little.
Thank you.

I am afraid that I don't have one with me right now. It might be a good idea to ask this question in the Denariustalk forum (there is a thread titled: "Denarius(DNR) Wallet" in the Tutorials & Help section (denariustalk.org).

Actually I could not get this chain of responses.. looks like all are drunk from legendary to jr. Members.. or I only may be..🤣🤣

Run the following commands in order on a fresh Ubuntu 14.04/16.04 Server, 17.10 works but may need some small changes

To compile/run the graphical Denarius wallet (QT) on Ubuntu:

Update Ubuntu
Code:
sudo apt-get update

Install required deps
Code:
sudo apt-get install git build-essential libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libqt4-dev

Clone the repo
Code:
git clone https://github.com/carsenk/denarius

CD into the cloned repo
Code:
cd denarius

Now build your makefiles
Code:
qmake "USE_UPNP=1" "USE_QRCODE=1" "USE_LEVELDB=1" denarius-qt.pro

(USE_LEVELDB Flag is only required on v1.0.7.0, it will no longer be required on future releases)

Now compile
Code:
make -j8

(-j8 (8 is the number of cores of your processor to compile on, this speeds up the compilation process)

To run and start Denarius after compiling, run
Code:
./Denarius

To run Denarius in headless daemon mode (denariusd), use this guide to compile on Ubuntu or VPSs:

Code:
sudo apt-get update

Install required deps
Code:
sudo apt-get install git build-essential libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev

Clone the repo
Code:
git clone https://github.com/carsenk/denarius

CD into the cloned repo
Code:
cd denarius

CD into the /src folder
Code:
cd src

Now compile
Code:
make -f makefile.unix -j8

(-j8 (8 is the number of cores of your processor to compile on, this speeds up the compilation process)

To run and start denariusd after compiling, run
Code:
./denariusd

Hello kingcarsen, When will be the Master node release?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DIMEcoin on: February 19, 2018, 11:32:54 PM
Hi Dimecoiners!

I bought 3,000,000 Dimecoin on Yobit. But the coin is under maintenance. I'm unable to withdraw. I've sent in a support ticket but everywhere online people are talking about how shit Yobit's support is. People keep saying Yobit is a scam.

Will I ever be able to withdraw them? I feel like I've been scammed.  Cry

Has anyone had this issue? Is there any hope? #feelsbadman

You should have used another exchange. Yobit is always like that. Most times they keep wallets under maintenance and they will not do anything about it for months. I believe if the dev can write to them, they may do do something about the maintenance.

There is a good chance that even the developer can't do anything about it. Often times they just don't respond and then manipulate the price because nobody can move coins off or on exchange.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Satoshi Core on: January 27, 2018, 10:41:38 PM
DNR syncs much faster, for me it never took more than 2 minutes or so.
Bitcoin Core is slow af, not worth it, takes 500 GB of your HDD.

I remember last year, trying to install and run Mist wallet for eth.
Took too much time and ate all my space left on HDD.   Shocked
For this big networks other possibilities are better (like myetherwallet, jaxx or coinomi)

But for my dnr i prefer QT-Wallet

I am just new.
Can DNR store in these wallet: myetherwallet, Coinomi waller, QT wallet
Where can I Download myetherwallet, Coinomi waller, QT wallet? also how to tranfer DNR coin from exchanges to these wallet

Thanks.

You can store DNR in the Coinomi Wallet as they support DNR and our main QT wallet.

On the back of the Cold Storage Cards there is a security scratch sticker that you scratch off when you are ready to redeem the DNR you put on the card, after you scratch off the back you will reveal the private key that is attached to the public address on the front, you can then either scan the QR code of the private key with Coinomi or import the actual key into your QT wallet through the (Help -> Debug Window -> Console) and by typing in "importprivkey <yourprivatekey>"

Once you import the private key, you will then have access to the DNR stored on that public address or cold storage card. You can then send the DNR from your Coinomi wallet or QT wallet whichever you used to an exchange or anywhere else you deem fit.

We do not support myetherwallet as that is for interacting with the Ethereum blockchain and is unrelated to our bitcoin style blockchain structuring.

You can get Coinomi here: https://coinomi.com/

You can get the latest QT Wallet here: https://github.com/carsenk/denarius/releases (v1.0.7.0 is our latest, but we are currently working on v2.0.0.0 which is expected to release in the coming weeks)

Thank you very much.

Regards,
Cheng.
