21  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: January 10, 2014, 06:27:57 PM
Does anyone have a problem with displaying a upper graph?
Sometime it shop up but mostly I have to refresh page several times before it show up correctly. I tray several browser and computers and I have the similar problem..

Do you mean the upper graphs on the market data page? So far as I know, nobody else has reported this, but if other's are having trouble we'd like to know.

@CybeRoky: Do you mean the right table with the last trades on market data?

However it's about a 30% chance to see "No trades currently available" there. Then I have to refresh, till I see the trades. In about ~5% cases I also can't see the Orderbook.
I can confirm ive seen this.

I think he means the upper graph which be can be expand by the little graph right above the Kraken logo, on every page.
I've had trouble with this graph too, and have already reported it here. The progress bar appears and then "freezes" (page must be reloaded).

The volume is not going up because people are not buying bitcoins with EUR:

Mt.Gox   925 BTC
Kraken   535 BTC
bitcoin.de   500 BTC
BTC-e   250 BTC

However, 2nd is good!

You should post your problem in the official Kraken thread, Dargo might be able to help you. All my EUR (SEPA) deposits were completed within 15 hours.

Ok, I see. What should it be for only one of us to pay VAT? A currency?  Grin

I'm not really convinced the parliament should recognize bitcoins as a currency like e.g. CHF, USD. What advantages would this recognition provide aside from having recognition from a parliament? Less taxes?
Also, wouldn't it be enough if the parliament recognizes it as a legal asset or commodity (like gold, silver, etc.)?

Hello Dargo,

Can you find out how often is the data provided by the APIs updated?

Thanks!

What's the point of your service if you can loose more than you can win?
I'm unsure what you mean, the service is free, so you can only get profit from it. If you're talking about the site, I will probably change the captcha to a paid one somewhat soon so that I can perhaps help pay that way.

Well, if your funds are going away faster than they are going in (i.e. what you receive from the ads) then you're losing money. So why would you do that if it's not profitable?
31  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CryptoFrenzy Crypto-Porfolio Beta Launch - Track your crypto-earnings on: December 08, 2013, 01:01:45 AM
Hi, well, it's simple but it looks like it's working. One thing that is missing is fees. For example when I sell X BTC on exchange Y, the exchange will keep a fee... of course, I can do the calculation myself but... Also, charts and more exchanges (e.g. Kraken Tongue) would be a good thing too.

So if you traded 0.5 BTC and ended up with 5000 DGC, it doesn't really matter how much you paid in fees or at what prices the trades were made. At the end of the line, you traded 0.5 BTC for 5000 DGC, so your balance will be adjusted accordingly. The fees should be factored in as part of the trade.

Actually on BTC-e if I decide to buy 50 FTC @ 0.00049 BTC I will end up with 50 * (1 - 0.002) FTC in my account. Of course, each market handle fees differently, e.g. I believe on MtGox they only charge a fee when you sell BTC... But, as you say, I can just write that I bought 49.9 FTC for a total amount of 0.0245 BTC (converted in USD). However, it could be interesting to know how much money went into fees.

Go to http://www.microwallet.org, put your BTC address and your balance will be displayed.

  • What's the minimum amount of BTC I can sell? When I try to sell 0.007 BTC Tongue it says "amount too low".
  • Real-time (WebSocket) market data would be really nice; MtGox has it and BTC-e will soon.
  • How can I see the exact amount of BTC I have? Numbers are truncated in the home view.
  • Why when I sell BTC, the fee is only applied to the amount a EUR I get and when I buy BTC the fees is applied to both amount?  Huh

What's the point of your service if you can loose more than you can win? Also, I don't know what kind of captchas you're using but the process can easily be automated. There are always the same set of words which are always linked to the same images (e.g. "finger" -> answer_241.png). Knowing this we know what value (i.e. data-hash attribute of the li HTML element) we should send as one of the POST variables...

I see a while back post #277 a user brought up the issue with your site crashing the Firefox 25.0.1 browser.  I have this same problem.  Thankfully your site works with the safari browser, but I would like to see this issue resolved so I can use Firefox.

Also,  what is the estimated time for being verified to levels 3 and 4, I've been waiting for level 3 verification for 5 days now.

These aren't complaints, I know all the exchanges are working hard to catch up to increased demand.  I'm just looking for answers.

Peace.
I use firefox 25.0.1 and have no problems...
tier 4 is only for companies. I guess for tier 3 u have to wait 5-14days.
My bad, maybe I mean tier 2 and 3 (I was too lazy to open Safari log in and check.)  I have had this problem with Firefox every single time.  Kraken crashes that browser within about 5 seconds of the page loading every single time.

I'm on OS X too and have no problem with Firefox 25.0.1... Try disabling your add-ons, plug-ins and/or using a Private Window. Huh
I've been waiting to get verified for more than a week now (Tier 3) so you're gonna have to wait some more time. Tongue

What's the easiest way of creating an OpenID account?
Is this the only way: https://pip.verisignlabs.com ?

Thanks.

I really think Kraken has some potential and hope issues mentioned above can be resolved soon. On my side, I'm quite frequently confronted to three problems:

  • When opening a chart (from the top of the screen) it stops on "Loading" and the chart does not appear.
  • Failure to get market data, a message inside a thick orange border says it has lost contact with the server and the Last/High/Low/Volume/Weighted Avg values are not updated.
  • More troublesome, in the Trade > Overview > Balances box, all values in the "Rate" column at are 0. The "Total" is, however, correctly displayed.

Another problem is volume... I hope time will resolve this issue. Cheesy
Have you asked to be added to bitcoincharts.com? I haven't seen any mention of Kraken there.

Okay... well, glad to see I'm not the only one.
