1  Economy / Economics / Re: JPMorgan: Blockchain to improve payment systems on: February 09, 2019, 07:00:15 PM
It is smart from the current economic system to want to get in on blockchain tech. This is one of the ways they may have success to compete with cryptocurrencies. People do not like the current economic system that gives favor to rich and makes them richer and will look for any way to upset the balance.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 09, 2019, 06:42:39 PM
One can only fall for FUD if not properly informed. Sadly you can find a lot uninformed people in crypto who really should not invest when they know very little things about what a cryptocurrency is. That is how FUD convinces people that Bitcoin and other crypto have no value.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme but you can get rich if you provide value on: February 08, 2019, 07:01:45 PM
It is the same principle as when you get to invest first in companies that get big. Those who got stocks from Apple or Amazon or other companies early enough made huge amount of profits. So everyone should do research on which crypto to buy, some will do very good in the future, and some have already got rich.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: The cycle is unique but structured on: February 08, 2019, 06:45:40 PM
But I think that there was no big rise in the end of 2018? And I do not remember big fall in January this year either. Bitcoin was stable after the fall of November more or less, unless a movement of 200 dollars up or down is considered big move. Because this is Bitcoin, I do not think it should be considered a big move.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🔴 🔴 It's happening! It's happening! It's happening! ⭕ ⭕ on: February 08, 2019, 06:40:33 PM
A rare green day with so much rise, I will take it lol. But I am not ensured that this will last. We all wish for this to last, we all have been disappointed in the past so we are careful with how much optimism we express. In the end there will be some big movement in the future but until then we will be watching and hope.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hear that Monero has a new competitor in town on: February 08, 2019, 02:30:36 PM
This is where the coins get it wrong I think. You can choose to see new coins as competition and the new coin can choose to see old coin as conpetition or they can choose to see one another as coins that can improve one another. Some features that Monero has the other must not have. And vice versa. When new tech presents from a new coin, the old ones should see this as opportunity to implement it.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin in 2019 on: February 08, 2019, 02:25:56 PM
I think I read somewhere that this rise is because Litecoin will implement the Mimblewible protocol, sorry if I spell this wrong. In this case and as I wrote another post this is what Litecoin must do to go up. Not just get comfortable that it is high on the top but make sure that it keeps us interested. Same goes for all coins, they must have substance and good use.
If Litecoin does this then it will see good prices the next bull run.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: February 08, 2019, 02:17:47 PM
That will not be in the future when crypto is popular. Usually when new tech appears it is first adopted from nerds. I do not find it bad the term nerd, when it means that we know about a lot new tech. And nerds now are more main stream that 20 years back when we feared to say we are nerds.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Projects compete with the established ones? on: February 06, 2019, 06:38:54 PM
To make a successful new coin, it is all about offering something new in your product. That is why GRIN is getting hype now, it offers something new in its features. I think that after so many projects the new coins that will come not offering something new will go unnoticed and die.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof MtGox Dumping Caused Bear Market Alleged on: February 06, 2019, 06:32:16 PM
Sure Mt Gox contributed. But the crypto market works in circles and it got too big at some point. What will go up must go down, maybe Mt Gox made te bear market last longer, that is my estimation. I hope we will not see the bear market for longer now. Crypto market will go up sooner or later.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Opinions about the emergence of new Coins on: January 31, 2019, 11:48:34 PM
1. I think that we already have too many coins with no actual use that take advantage of other coins like Bitcoin to get some value so from now on it would be good for developers to find first a use for their coin to the real world that would give it value.
2. If more coins with real world application appear then demand from people will come and they will be popular. Then they would serve the whole crypto market and Bitcoin.
3. Coins with real use means that if a trader invests early, they will get profit on the investment. Because this will be a product that people will use.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's are popping up on: January 31, 2019, 11:38:08 PM
This is one of the big indications that Bitcoin gets more main stream. The ATM gets placed because someone asked for it. This is what matters, that there is demand for Bitcoin and for crypto in general. If people ask for this, then I am sure the rest will come. Crypto adoption will come.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Ways to earn Tokens without investing or mining on: January 31, 2019, 07:09:19 PM
That is a good article, I have done a lot of these to get crypto myself. Bounty is a bit risky as always because you may do all the work and then wait and wait until you get reward. Some times, bounty hunters do not get the reward at all.
Faucet is too little reward unless the cryptocurrency takes off and skyrocket after some time. But it is not worth much to claim bitcoin for example, someone should be lucky and choose a crypto coin that now is low that will skyrocket in some years. Very difficult.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I hate all forms of Altcoin and possibly hate cryptocurrency on: January 31, 2019, 07:00:07 PM
We are at early stages of crypto, so investing money and then leaving for long period is a false tactic. You must monitor your investment, crypto is not a bank and carries more risk then leaving your money in a bank. This is why it is a high reward, the risk is still big. Otherwise, leave your money in a bank and get a small interest rate.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems to me Bitcoin is getting over the bear sh*t on: January 31, 2019, 06:56:34 PM
Maybe most people have the belief that the estimation of the bear market ending on April 2019 is valid so every day news do not affect as much. I do not want to say that crypto market becomes more wise or that emotion does not rule over it because it does not seem to be the case. It is good that negative news did not sent the price lower.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On merchants not willing to accept crypto on: January 31, 2019, 06:45:57 PM
For me there are merchants who refuse to accept crypto and also consumers who do not care about crypto. But let's take a look back in a couple decades, a lot of people did not like plastic money too. The difference between the two is that governments and banks made plastic money necesary so people had to adjust to it. I do not see how this will happen with crypto.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin's New Logo on: January 29, 2019, 05:40:25 PM
It is good I think, I always think that after some years companies must make new logo and crypto is not different. But this new Litecoin logo must be followed by other actions that will make Litecoin go higher up the top list of coins like it was in past years.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There too many coins to buy the dip. on: January 29, 2019, 05:37:24 PM
So Bitcoin or altcoin? At this point you can profit a lot with whatever. Bitcoin at 3k, it cannot go much lower than this, maybe 2k but not much lower. Grin is new I think, Tron I do not have faith in this one. But still I think that all will go up the next bull run.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vacation and Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 05:34:12 PM
The first thing I think when I hear some countrys people have adopted crypto easily is that they must not have trust at their own currency. Just like Venezuela people turn to crypto because their own coin is worth nothing at this point. But crypto adoption is a good thing no matter for what reason it happens.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking multiwallets are safe? on: January 27, 2019, 11:58:14 AM
Assuming this involves the process of sending your funds to the app to be locked somewhere for the duration of the time needed to get the ROI you must be very careful who you trust. I do not know this app but you can try cold staking if you want to do it with mobile app, there is Coinomi app where you can cold stake the coin Callisto. And it is more safe than what you describe.
