I do not believe that only 71 people mined smartcoin if you do not want to end up like other currencies are not on cryptsy, you need to vote:
https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/74254
it's free and very help, so please take 3 minutes.
we are many!

Threw in my +1, we need more people though! Come on guys!
I voted!

The 1st post lists the nodes, but not where to put them. In %appdata%\client or in the wallet folder? What should the file be called? smartcoin.conf?

Because RDP screws up your temp monitoring. I use RDP only for my BAMT-based rigs, and TightVNC to administer the Win7 rigs. CGRemote for a quick overview at a glance.

Weird, is it a problem with the application(s) used or RDP itself?

Has to do with how RDP accesses the video drivers I believe. Try it. When I try to use TRIXX or see temp and fan speeds per GPU in CGMiner, I get nothing. VNC equivalents don't have the same issue. I've heard good results with Teamviewer as well, though I've not tried it.
I can vouch for this too. CGMiner just freezes when using standard remote desktop. VNC works perfectly on all my rigs Smiley
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Middlecoin Checker Android App on: January 26, 2014, 09:55:04 PM
Great work, thank you!  Cheesy Definitely the best interface. I suggested to the developer of "middlecoin watcher" that he use this standardised Android layout but he ignored, so here I am Wink Would love to see alternative currency support (personally I'm from the UK but I do like to see *both* USD and GBP rates).

Edit: an idea to show multiple currencies without massively increasing screen space. Allow the user to select your supported currencies and display like followed:

Quote
Value in USD (based on current BTC price):
Coinbase Current BTC Price: $820.30 | £XXX.XX | €XXX.XX

So essentially adding a space, pipe, space then currency and value for each currency the user wishes to display. Just a thought Smiley

I can't believe people actually stay here with a diff of 1024 and constant coin switching and lack of transparency.

maybe it's because those things only matter to failed scam artists trying to grasp at straws?
Stop feeding the troll, pleeeeease.

Can anybody tell me how much will be the approx. payout (per day) for 4000 khps miner with middlecoin?

Please send a PM and ask rahrahrah or SimonG.
That's pretty much the biggest insult you could give and I have no idea why. I'd rather you insult my mother Cry

Sorry for long quote.  I canot download this app for some reason.  Not sure if it my network or a problem at the app store.

Not just you.

it wouldn't work for me through the app store either but I went to the link in chrome and it downloaded fine.

Please! Middlecoin Android app people: The guy put up a dedicated release page and asked in his post in this thread, to to direct queries there. Please stop ignoring that and filling up this thread with them - it makes it harder for people to catch up on other Middlecoin issues and harder for the developer to address your problems:

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Middlecoin Monitor Android app on: January 23, 2014, 05:24:20 PM
Thanks for the hard work you've put into this Smiley Yet to install it though.

Any chance you could change the styling so that it fits more inline with the direction in which modern Android apps are heading? That is, with the left side bar and a more standard colour theme. The blue is a little "in your face" Tongue Sort of like this guy's Middlecoin Android app:

Care to share the scrypt?
Sent you a PM. I released it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=420130.0 but have made quite a few improvements since. As there was no interest (on here) I have not pushed these improvements to the downloadable file yet. Someone released an Android app somewhere in this thread also.

Looks like a lot of those unexchanged are selling.  Gonna be a heck of a payday today!
My unexchanged over three different addresses are basically the same or higher than they were yesterday so it's not that.
Look at the main graph.  We saw a large dip in unexchanged and a large spike in exchanged at the same time.  I'm seeing this similar activity on all of my accounts.

Sorry, I think I misread your post. We must have gotten a lot more for the exchanged coins today than yesterday, surely? A chunk of unexchanged definitely did sell earlier today followed by a large spike in the confirmed but what I don't understand is how the unexchanged rose vertically some 30 (??) minute later back to almost the same level.

I wrote a script which collects stats and runs hourly. To try and help explain what I mean here is a snippet from the run at 14:00:
Immature: 0.00303356 (Yest: 0.00629628)
Unexchanged: 0.0692305 (Yest: 0.0611324)
Confirmed: 0.07269612 ($59.95) (Yest: 0.0263627)

As you can see my unexchanged at 14:00 is still slightly higher than yesterday at 14:00. Immature is double. All for the same hashrate and WU. As it stands my confirmed after 12 hours is very nearly equal to yesterdays full payout, with lots more potential exchanging to come. Very promising...

Hello everyone,

I've written a balance scraper in PowerShell for people on Windows. The main release post for it is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=420130.0 - I'd like to keep support requests there if possible!

If you're curious, this is a snippet of the information in the main release post:

Script outputs in various ways:

It generates an output like so:

Code:
Middlecoin Info for: 112ChqhtNhSSYi3hBeNBW1bMkFD265Utcm
Accepted MH/s Last Hour: 2.7403
Immature Unexchanged Balance: 0.00387548
Unexchanged Balance: 0.01216673
Confirmed Balance: 0.01479748
Estimated Current Balance (to be paid): 0.03083969 ($24.36)
Total Paid Out: 0.06202011 ($49)

The default option is for the script to open the text file summary with your default text editor. If you have a usable SMTP server this is the file that will be emailed to you.

The NotifyMyAndroid notification looks like this:

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [RELEASE] Middlecoin Balance Scraper for Windows (in PowerShell) on: January 17, 2014, 03:36:34 PM
Hi all,

Due to PowerShell being the scripting language I'm most familiar with (I'm a Windows guy, please don't shoot me!), I decided to write a PowerShell script that would parse your Middlecoin data and output your stats in a couple of ways:

All these can be turned on/off by specifying a 0 or 1 (1 = on).

It generates an output like so:

Code:
Middlecoin Info for: 112ChqhtNhSSYi3hBeNBW1bMkFD265Utcm
Accepted MH/s Last Hour: 2.7403
Immature Unexchanged Balance: 0.00387548
Unexchanged Balance: 0.01216673
Confirmed Balance: 0.01479748
Estimated Current Balance (to be paid): 0.03083969 ($24.36)
Total Paid Out: 0.06202011 ($49)

The default option is for the script to open the text file summary with your default text editor. If you have a usable SMTP server this is the file that will be emailed to you.

The NotifyMyAndroid notification looks like this:

Getting Started:

  • 1) If you've never run PowerShell on your computer before, you'll need to set the Execution Policy. Right click the shortcut to PowerShell and choose "Run as Administrator". Type Set-ExecutionPolicy -Unrestricted and confirm with a Y. This will allow scripts to run.
  • 2) Save the script somewhere on your computer, open it up and paste your bitcoin address into the line:
    Quote
    $bitcoinAddresses = ""
    Save the Script.
  • 3) Right click the script and choose "Run with PowerShell".

... and that should be it! You can run this on demand, or if you wish you can set the script to run as frequently as you want as a Scheduled Task.

NotifyMyAndroid configuration:

Scheduled Task Configuration:

  • Create a basic scheduled task.
  • For program specify powershell.exe
  • For arguments specify "& 'c:\path\to\Middlecoin-Balance-Scraper'"

A free account allows 5 notifications per day, whereas a premium account has a much higher limit and costs $4.99.

Whilst I'd have liked to have coded this for PS v3 and above (which has advantages for this kind of thing, especially if h20 provides more information in the .json output file he currently provides) I made sure that it was compatible with PowerShell v2 which many of you may still be running on your Windows systems. If you'd like to upgrade PowerShell and need advice please send me a PM although it's not necessary for this script to function.

I hope this helps people and I haven't missed any key information out. I'm more than happy to discuss adding additional features Smiley

137  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit... merged a transaction?! on: January 16, 2014, 10:34:38 AM
Thanks Mike. Indeed, this morning Multibit has a combined payment under the address labelled "Middlecoin-shared" (yesterday being the other one).

I suppose the only way around this when mining at Multicoin is to have two separate wallets then. Otherwise I have to keep a manual record somewhere of the individual payments.
138  Other / MultiBit / Multibit... merged a transaction?! on: January 15, 2014, 10:39:02 AM
Hi,

I am mining at Middlecoin using two different receive addresses (4 rigs mining with one address, 2 rigs mining with another address).

1) 1728wMw4c3me9SHdaWMRA3Ue1JRAgHw6nm (label = middlecoin-me)
2) 112ChqhtNhSSYi3hBeNBW1bMkFD265Utcm (label = middlecoin-shared)

As you can see, Middlecoin paid out to these addresses early this morning:

1) http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1728wMw4c3me9SHdaWMRA3Ue1JRAgHw6nm.html (0.04126948 BTC)
2) http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/112ChqhtNhSSYi3hBeNBW1bMkFD265Utcm.html (0.02319525 BTC)

I would expect to see two transactions in my wallet. Instead I see one, for 0.06446473 to "middlecoin-me" which is the total of these two above. I can't understand how this could happen?

Both transactions are listed here: http://blockchain.info/tx/9856b050c2c96b1c57e3fe64b6406d810735860d2bfd5f1e5ce0d82901e1ad3d
as
1) http://blockchain.info/address/1728wMw4c3me9SHdaWMRA3Ue1JRAgHw6nm
2) http://blockchain.info/address/112ChqhtNhSSYi3hBeNBW1bMkFD265Utcm

Could someone please help? I wanted these transactions to be split up not merged and I had assumed that having separate addresses for the same sender would work.

Thank you.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: January 10, 2014, 12:49:44 PM
Hi,

Is there an easier way to see my notifications other than just a pop up at the top? If not perhaps a dedicated page could be put up (with a click through from the notifications pop up)? It'd be really useful to have these in a very simple tabular format. Essentially it's your trade history which is why I don't want to clear any of them (but the list gets quite long and unmanageable).

Thanks Smiley

Great reply and very much appreciated. I'm sure you've earnt a lot of respect for you stepping up like that. When you're up and running properly I'll definitely be back.
