81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: April 26, 2017, 09:23:35 PM
Maybe check www.antbleed.com to patch your vulnerable miners.
82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Will Bitmain Antminers S9 and T9 be obsolete if Segwit is launced ? on: April 26, 2017, 09:22:56 PM
They will be obsolete whenever BITMAIN wants them to be according to www.antbleed.com
83  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: April 26, 2017, 09:22:07 PM
No word about www.antbleed.com here yet?  Huh
84  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.95 is out on: April 14, 2017, 03:19:03 PM
I thought this is a normal behavior. When you change or create new database Armory needs to scan all your wallets again against the new databases. That is a very resourceful task (hint: now you will understand why on-chain scaling is not efficient and why we need that part of transaction to be off-chain) and I think it needs all the RAM memory for faster processing. I would like to know if there is a cap on the amount of ram that it needs in order to speed things up, but you sound like you have very little ram available on your back-up machine. I think you will need to leave your computer online overnight or when until it finishes. I will take a while.

Maybe someone can teach us how or what can we copy from Armory from another computer that has all wallets synced.
85  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Fixing the "transaction timed out"/"transaction broadcast failed" issue on: April 10, 2017, 06:53:57 PM
Is this happening with the Linux versions of 0.95.1 and 0.14? I am yet to try using them together.
Yes. AFAICT this is an issue with all platforms, not just with one OS.

Came on this subforum for this error. Thank you for the hard work!
86  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: November 24, 2016, 06:27:39 PM
I would buy!
87  Other / Archival / Re: . on: July 04, 2016, 06:13:59 PM
I want in too, if there is a spot left. Random! Thank you!
88  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: July 01, 2016, 07:52:08 PM
Kudos for makin good on that bet  Wink

Now,where are those chips, hmmmm, wonder where they could be,hmmmm, what coulda happened to them, hmmmm  Cheesy

Thanks for sharing those with us to help "decentralize" Bitcoin  Cool

They never intended to help with the decentralization of bitcoin. None of their past/current actions show that. I got blocked on twitter for reminding them of that Wink
89  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 27, 2016, 08:23:17 PM
12 or 10nm chips of any sort will not be available from anyone for several more years, on top of that, so far looks like <12nm is going to be reserved for high complexity chips and not simple boutique ones like mining ASIC's.

Why? Because of pricing?
90  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: IBM takes a leap to 7nm on: June 14, 2016, 09:22:57 PM
No one is going to be seeing a 7nm miner in the next 3-4 years, that's almost certain (assuming Bitcoin is still around then) because it's still at the prototyping stage, the process has to be fully engineered and characterised and that will be a majot challenge in itself.

I thought a bitcoin mining ASIC chip is pretty basic and straight forwards. Wouldn't it be wise to prototype and to calibrate the machines using mining chips since they are so simple? Just asking.
91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: IBM takes a leap to 7nm on: June 14, 2016, 06:39:36 PM
So, Mr. 2112, Do you think we'll be seeing 7nm miners soon in the industry?

He should be the Lead Designer/Project Manager for this chip!
92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 12, 2016, 12:59:25 PM
BITMAIN so lucky with this increase in exchange rate.
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 08, 2016, 10:03:37 PM
Avalon is bought out by Shandong Luyitong for $466 mil. Not bad!
I wonder if Bitmain stays private or will seek an IPO or sale.

They did better than KnC KnC, Spondoolies, Hashfast, BFL and Cointerra which is pretty amazing.

Corrected you just a little  Grin

No objection Smiley

Very nice for some scammers! They did better than KnC which is pretty amazing.
95  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Are the new armory versions trusted? on: June 05, 2016, 01:33:19 PM
Very mature and decent way of approaching things. Thank you very much for everything!
96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 04, 2016, 08:54:01 PM
We get it.  CKPool won't work with the Antminer S9 by default at this time.  It is a shame Bitmain doesn't respect software licensing.  No need to take it any further than that.

Weren't they trying to improve the p2pool protocol which failed miserable?
97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: June 04, 2016, 08:52:29 PM
It's also possible they are having problems with the chip. Would not be the first time, I've noticed that designing a chip is simple, powering it is another matter altogether....

That would be very disappointing.

It's normal to have issues, but by this time they should have at least a second and better batch...
98  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 04, 2016, 12:58:33 PM
I doubt that in the final analysis it will be so, but if it is, then bitcoin as a whole might be f-ed up as a result, unless it changes the POW to GPU or to POS.

GPU isn't a viable solution for mining for the long term! Low security which makes it very cheap to take over the network and there is no guarantee that mining will be much more decentralized than today. I mean we are competing with BitFury who was funded by the Georgian government. Also I suspect that they have enough liquidity for a massive investment in any kind of equipment to match the new mining algorithm. Let's not forget that BitFury was mining on a 110TH/s FPGA rig when everyone was just discovering FPGA mining. If they have been quiet in the last period it doesn't mean that they lost their skill and their ability to do business.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: June 02, 2016, 08:52:48 PM
i also have been talking to bitfury trying to get the 16nm chip but they always only offer $1m buy order then thay tell me i can buy smaller orders of chips or miners from one of there partners but after many times of asking where to buy they always say we will connect you to them...... time and time again.
i have access to board designers,PCB manufacturing,PCB tooling...........but with all this I CANT GET 1 CHIP...... so frustrating!!!!

That's because BitFury doesn't give a shit about this forum!
100  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: May 31, 2016, 09:52:38 PM
what's the status about the shitty miner producers?

BitFury bankrupt soon?

C'mon show some respect for them. They are not comparable with the greedy KnC!
