101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are there any optimists left? Is $100K still possible? on: March 11, 2018, 04:33:40 PM

Are there any optimists left? Is $100K still possible even by 2020 or 2021?

2020 is just like 2 years later . There is a fine line between being optimistic and rational .
I am being rational and I just want bitcoin to cross atleast $40-50 k before it loses half of its number . That  would be a great relief for all the users .
Talking about $100k , it is difficult to attain that figure until a hue interest in shown in the investors in the years to come.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: March 11, 2018, 03:02:39 PM
It is only bullishit for the people who did not get a good value out of it .
There are many users and holders including me who have got profit upto 100x and more . The secret is in studying the coin correctly before stepping into it and investing or buying it . I have got some huge benefits out of coins like paypie and salt.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple UP and DOWN on: March 11, 2018, 02:58:57 PM
5% is nog much, but if you look at the chart Ripple is doing better than other coins. I have always believed that Ripple is a good investment for the longterm.

Ripple has surely come up to be one of the most influential and durable cryto currency in past few months . Ripple has one enormous and impressive market capitalization which is ever growing since its inception .
Even though it does not have a very impressive price till now , it is sure that the coin will grow regardless of the any means and it will be best advice to buy it and hold it now.
104  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Limitations of Blockchain. What are they? on: March 11, 2018, 02:28:18 PM
Blockchain is a new kind of database - block or records connected to another block. That's the simplest explanation. However, I want to ask the hard question.

What are the limitations of blockchain? I know this is a really good innovation and I highly support it, not because I join the bandwagon, but because bitcoin will not exist if not because of it.... But I want to have a better understanding of the blockchain (in layman's terms please) if I want to get really serious about cryptocurrency and ICOs. My second question is, what are the things experts do to improve blockchain?

The two most unavoidable limitations of blockchain will be its size and the transaction tax & speed .
When the market cap reaches to its highest extend it becomes unavoidable to overlook the shortcomings rising due to the network size . It gets filed and overloaded with the unconfirmed transactions . Moreover , that scenario leads to high transaction fees and its long delays.
105  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-09] Bitcoin Drops 20% But Wasn't Week's Big Crypto Price Loser on: March 11, 2018, 02:00:50 PM
The process remains the same every year .
There is a huge panic in the beginning of the year regarding why bitcoin is falling or is being stable and later in the year  there is a panic about why bitcoin is rising so high and how fast will it go down if it grows with the same pace .
That is quite amusing to read such topics which just divert people from holding on .
106  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-09] Bitcoin Drops to $8,300 as Mt. Gox Trustee Sell Off Continues, Mark on: March 11, 2018, 01:57:22 PM
Is $1.7 Billion that big ?
For such huge market cap of bitcoin it is just a small percentage of its part . The sudden sell off will surely affect the price by some means for some time but that process will not be durable and will not last long . Bitcoin is going to cover it and has already covered it by its current price of 9,217.98 US Dollar .

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF the United States were to put regulations on cryptos, what do you think ? on: February 05, 2018, 02:46:10 PM
I can't wait for 6th feb and the speculations about it to finally end .
USA government is going to put some regulations on bitcoin , this won't change a lot about bitcoin . It will only impose some taxes upon its usage in USA .
It is also expected that after the regulations and getting some positive result out of it , the market will go green again and bitcoin will rise positively .
Its time for bitcoin to show some greens again.
109  Other / Meta / Re: Please look at what high-rank member doing which their sMerit on: February 05, 2018, 02:37:57 PM
I appreciate the fact that you tried to make an effort against the merit abuse . But you definitely got the wrong person here . Lauda has been contributing to the forum from years and she has made continuous efforts in order to keep the shit posters away from the forum by maintaining a proper list of them .
Moreover , it is not mentioned anywhere that you can  only give merit to people over some posts . For the people who are associated with the campaign , it is not bad to spear some merits for the manager .
I would suggest you to improve your own post quality instead of targeting others.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: February 02, 2018, 03:14:52 PM
I see many Websites that provide ratings for ongoing ICOs or for the future. Examples such as the ICObench.com Website, ICOrating.com and others.

Which is my question whether you believe in the rating provided by the website. Seeing many ICO's do not match what they value. Many ICOs are arguably good ratings but when the token sales of the project only reach softcap. And there are projects that I see have a fairly mediocre rating but their token sales reach hardcap. I took the example of Lalaworld on ICObench.com they get Rating 3.7 but their token is sold out.

So let's discuss ICO Rating!

ICO rating does not give someone a 100% correct prediction about the value of some crypto coin . They just give the "idea" about the weight-age of the coin depending up on its stake holders and the buzz it is creating and its features . They never specify that the profit is guaranteed of you invest in some particular ICO they stated has a good potential .
So do your study before you invest in some coin and do no blindly trust these sites . These sites are just for the references .
111  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is bitcoin banned in India? on: February 02, 2018, 03:11:49 PM
Bitcoin is certainly not banned in India . The current status of bitcoin in India is still unknown .
Many speculations have been passed out that bitcoin might also get banned in India . But according to the news , the government offcials just said that bitcoin is still too small to get legalized in India and there were no comments made regarding it being illegal .
Even if it gets illegalized in the future bitcoin is going to be used by the people knowing that most of them knows that there will be no way to detect the users and the government will not take a lot of consideration in finding them as they said themselves that bitcoin is too small to be the part of India .
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Airdrops Question on: January 31, 2018, 02:45:17 PM
Hi,

Please be gentle as I have researched but I have nowhere found a reliable place for my inquiry.

Is there a site that lists all upcoming and running airdrops, I dont mind if these sites use reflinks and I sign up using them.
I want to start promoting airdrops and would like to also use my ref link, so it would also be nice of the website to post what the ref bonuses are.

Am I asking too much here, or is there a site that offers what I am looking for?

Thanks for reading through this post and have a nice day.

There are many site which are available and will notify you about the upcoming airdrops .
They may also require some sign ups as u mentioned .  http://cryptocreed.com/airdrop/  . This site would also tell about which of them are scammed .
Other than that u can also get the updates by joining a good telegram group such as  https://t.me/verifiedairdrops . This group regularly posts about some good airdrops you may join.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could some coins be banned? on: January 31, 2018, 02:38:17 PM
I don't think government is banning any coins from the market and any coin can swipe out from the market because of some government influence knowing the very known fact that most of them are " decentralized " .
If governments were capable of doing such thing then bitcoin would be the first coin to get banned since there is so much feud in the government regarding its presence , regulation and the taxes .

115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC will above 20k start of 2018? on: December 22, 2017, 04:21:38 PM
Yes, Bitcoin will rise above 20k at the start of 2018 easily. The fall might stay for only a short phase and then it will regain it's value. So, it gives us two choices at the current situation either bitcoin will stay near $10,000 or it will grow back to $20,000 again. Bitcoin is expanding its user base over the globe and this will totally help its price touching new values. Also, bitcoin price shout up in days so if its price falls one should not panic and sell as it is only a small dump nothing else.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD on: December 22, 2017, 03:35:59 PM
No doubt that transaction fees is such a mess right now . My bitcoin are also trapped in my wallet because i simply cannot sell them using that shitty transaction fees. Just waiting for the things to get better . I hope it does . The forks have been in talk for a long long time now , I don't know when something is actually going to save bitcoin from turning into a complete mess and proving all the opportunities right .
117  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxation on Bitcoin transfers on: December 22, 2017, 03:28:56 PM
Hi all, I live in Israel - a country with relatively high regulation and tax rates. A recent article shows how bitcoin transfers may soon reach taxation rates of up to 47%! I’m wondering how that compares to other countries?
https://www.themarker.com/opinion/1.4727995

Are there any countries with higher rates?

It totally depends upon your country . What is the exchange rate of your country . What exactly is the value of your fiat . These considerations will lead to the decision factor on how much the tax is going to be . I think you should study your native bitcoin exchange to get the better answer . That would totally clear a couple things from buy and sell rate to the taxation .
118  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-22] Doing a 180 – Goldman Sachs Goes Crypto on: December 22, 2017, 03:25:30 PM
That is so good to know about the immensee support towards crupto currency . The virtual currencies really needs the support of banks and authority in order to take a higher leap then it already is taking . But the question here is that what would "Golman"  get out of this ? No one does it for charity or for some sort of publicity for other currency that might be a potential threat to them . I hope they clarify their real intentions .
119  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network vs Bitcoin cash on: December 22, 2017, 03:15:20 PM

hello I want to know your thoughts on Lightning network vs Bitcoin cash Smiley

Lightning network off chain is not as secure as bitcoin cash, or are they the same?

not sure because i go on reddit /r/BTC and they say very bad things about lightning! Sad

Bitcoin cash is so temporary . Who can say that bitcoin cash is safer than the lightening network after the suspections and the frozen deals with the bitcoin cash ?
Lightening deal is the best way out to the problem . Some day bitcoin cash is also going to need such technology when it is over flooded in the coinbase , Actually i hope bitcoincash remains underflooded .  Grin
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Crypto Will Replace Bitcoin In Small Payments ? ETH, Ripple ? on: December 22, 2017, 03:06:02 PM
Bitcoin is really struggling due to the high price now . The other altcpins might replace it for small payments .That is just because they have so much potential right now and the block size is also relatively larger than bitcoin . They might replace it , if the changes are not made for bitcoin's coinbase very soon .
Many coins such as ETH , Ripple , Iota , Electroneum have a chance to attain this thing.
