Hello Guys, I published the first alpha version of my Android App "NXT Watcher". See https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2588.0.html for further details and install instructions. Screenshot to get a first impression of how it looks like:  I need a lot help testing on different devices, especially Gingerbread and Honeycomb! So if you own an Android device, follow the link above and please provide some feedback  Additionally there is a 1k bounty for providing a good looking, Android-ready laucher logo for the app -- two guys working on it already. ANNOUNCEMENT: NXT MOBILE APPLICATIONS COMPANY ORGANIZATION
I will be posting this topic in the nextcoin.org & nxtcrypto.org forums so we will can better organize & develop this idea.
Summary:
The NXT MOBILE APPLICATIONS COMPANY will be coordinating the development, deployment & marketing of the NXT flagship mobile apps (Android & iPhone/iPad).
The Nxt Mobile Applications Company will be a decentralized, cellular organization. Its shares will be listed on the Nxt Asset Exchange.
P.S. Further details will be follow in both the forums mentioned above.

so the system is not made for mass messaging, right?
Incorrect. The current state of the network can't handle mass messaging. Why? What needs to be done to process 10k transactions/minute? We need a way to announce IP address of forging nodes (or their gateways). This requires new features on the protocol level. Why is it necessary to announce IP address of forging nodes? Every node is forging, or not? |

Can;t we code it so that to send a msg from your account to one other alias within 1440 blocks.....you only pay 1 nxt.
to send to new alias/account you must pay another 1 Nxt.
EDIT: Nxt Messenger Faucet linked to website would give 10 fee Nxt for downloading the app.
Interesting idea, let's brainstorm it. Or the price of the messages increase the more you send within a given time frame. |

I like the idea, but you need Nxt to send messages...
Is this positive or negative? I think negative as this means that messaging is NOT for free, like using viber. BUT it is anonymous. The question is if people are willing to pay for it?! I;m sure those who require anonymous messaging would....but fee structure should also change .001 Nxt to make it cheap Yes, I agree with you on that. |

Strategy for NXT gaining MAINSTREAM ADOPTION
Steps:
1) Push Anonymous Messaging ONLY on WORLD CLASS DESIGNED ANDROID/IPHONE APPS (OUR FLAGSHIP APPS).
2) Make these APPS available on Google Play/App Store.
3) USE the current market situation to our advantage AS NO ONE IS NOW SURE ABOUT USING THERE MOBILE FOR SECURE COMMUNICATION....The NSA sent us a blessing in disguise....AN UNTAPPED MARKET.
4) Once Nxt Messaging has gained a strong following 100,000 - 500,000 downloads we start to Unlock/roll out other features of NXT ....ie. auction/storage/payment/Asset exchange/marketplace etc....thru regular updates once users start using the messaging app they become lock into the larger NXT ecosystem.
5) My real world examples are LINE & WECHAT....both started as msg apps but NOW OFFER IN APP PAYMENTS.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xioami sold 100,000 smartphones inside the WECHAT messaging app last month.
The above is a Strategy for gaining MAINSTREAM ADOPTION which will give us payment possibilities without the need to push payment as our main selling point....this is be a unique approach for a crypto currency.
I like the idea, but you need Nxt to send messages... |

Hi guys,
We would need some PR and marketing on big, trusted sites like Yahoo Financials or Financial Times Online or whatever. There is a bounty for it. Does anyone know about someone having the power to do it? The last time, when the price hit it's highest we had some media coverage (and the alias feature added) which helped to get new Nxters on the boat.
What we need is a Nxt SR market, that would really drive the price of Nxt Nxt has its upswing on new features released and usability. I think the market will take care of itself if we have a fully functioning client (nexern). We really need something to talk with the media about, at this point we have a relatively unstable client with a huge list of potential features, need to be patient. I agree that we shouldn't worry much about marketing right now. I think that it should be a continuous task to update the media about Nxt and the news around it. |

I'm talking about voting without leaving the system. Don't you see: it makes path to forcing part of community to follow some winner (center)? I can't lose in voting by actions. In worst case I'll die as free person. Please, visit a website in my signature. That coin is for people like u. I tried to understand it couple of days ago, but I left the site after 10 mins because I was confused and still didn't understood it. So it's not made for me, right? |

Hi,
I think some of people are playing on price to downward it. I was checking and even there were above buy order the price given by me, the buy order was complete. They sold it with quick sell.
big price moves on dgex only prices pretty stable on ripple and I think also stable on nxtchg This indicates attempt at moving the price and not that the price has moved. That is because of the low volume on those two, I think |

I wonder, how low we will go today... It's 0.000036 even on DGEX...
That is really-really ugly. I am managing Nxt investments from 3 friends. It was their first crypto-investment. They got in at 0.00006. All 3 called me today already what to do now and if we should sell.. I told the mnot to panic. I hope I will be right... Divide friends and business, what can I tell?  If you're their manager, u took decision even if 99%-price fall'll happen. And if u're mediator, well, do exactly as they'll say  Money and inconsistent managing of risks destroyed too many relationships to support that model ever again, I suppose. I am doing what they are selling. I managed to calm them down when the price was below 0.00004, I hope I did the right thing |

Maybe we could create an asset organisation in some exotic liberal country? Would you pay me for living in Seychelles or in Panama?  If one were truly committed to creating a NXT/Fiat gateway... the best way to go would be through a Belize International Business Company (IBC) that is owned by a Belize Trust. Here is how you do it: a. You create the Belize Trust (Trustees, Beneficiaries, etc.) b. The Trust incorporates the IBC; thus the Trust is the owner of the IBC and not the beneficiaries of the Trust. c. IBC creates a business presence online (website, NXT Asset Exchange gateway, etc.) d. All bank, merchant, exchange, etc. accounts are opened by the IBC. e. Belize bank account is in $. f. The physical address associated with all accounts is the corporate address of the IBC. g) There is NO TAX for income earned from IBCs outside Belize.You are looking at $1500-2000 to set this up and around $1000 yearly expenses to renew the Belize contracts. And YES... it is all COMPLETELY LEGAL!!!  Iīm in. anyone want to join? Smaragda? |
