First time I hear of Nexus, it looks interesting indeed.

Might ATMs installations be a profitable business in your opinion?
Taxes and  poor mass adoption look like big obstacles to me.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 19, 2016, 02:09:23 AM
Hey there it is my pc or the bitmonerod is too expensive in terms of resources?
It made my pc lag as hell, everything was freezed and took ages to get unstuck, I am on linux and i5 processor, so that looks weird to me.
Or it is only the blockchain download that makes it so laggy?
Are you using the latest version (0.9.4)? Older versions (I believe < 0.9) consumed lots of memory.

If you have a rotary disk drive,  your HD will have a lot of I/O during the downloading of the blockchain and this can slow the computer down. This happens with Bitcoin and other coins and it's not something unique to Monero. If you have a SSD the process is much quicker and your computer's lag will be much less noticeable. In any case, assuming you're on 0.9.1 or greater, your computer's speed will return to normal after the blockchain has synced.

Thank you for your response.
I am sure on the latest version. Good to know the only syncing process can slow down a PC hd drive. But I never faced such lag with bitcoin core or any other alt wallet client. Yes, all the syncing processes took time, but they never made my PC unusable. At less not from my experience.
Don't take it as a critique please.

265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] 8000 XEL (elastic) coins at a ridiculous rate on: June 18, 2016, 11:32:37 PM
Up, still valid.
I have been contacted by some guy but the trade has not been ultimated yet, so you may make your offer if interested.

Are the 8000 XEL for 1BTC still available?
Are you still interested in selling the 8000XEL for 1BTC?

I propose to send your public key in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/elastic-project/genesis-block/master/genesis-block.json and sign a message with your private key to prove your ownership.

I propose that I send 1BTC to your BTC-address and that I send as well a message signed by my private key.

Before we need the agreement from Lannister to change the public key in the genesis block.

Is this OK so far for you?

Thanks

hey there, I have already made a deal with a guy. He was the first to contact me so I gave him priority, I am sorry.

On another hand: poloniex asks me a payment ID to withdrawal XMR. How do I get it? I am using simplewallet.

edit: oh that's just a message you might attach to a payment.

I believe linux monero simplewallet should ask for a password confirmation when creating a wallet. It's not that hard to make a typo on a linux console!

How many GB is the dash blockchain? I fear that a 8GB sd card is not enough for a raspberry.

Can a monero node can be run on a raspberry PI model 3?
What resources does it require?

Best regards

Someone on this thread a while back was going to set up a raspberry pi 3 to run a node but i can't remember who.

https://forum.bitsquare.io/t/1-btc-edit-now-3-25-btc-bounty-for-bitsquare-on-raspberry-pi/209

That is a decentralized exchange.

@QuantumQrack
It at least does run on a ARM7 of the Raspberry PI 2 Model B (https://getmonero.org/downloads/).

Oops, you are right, I totally mis-read the post.  I'll remove that post above.  I've had bitsquare on the brain lately. :-)

Well I guess I will try to run the client on my own. Should not be hard (I hope).
Do you know how many resources does the client spend?

Yeah it matches! Thank you so much!
Mind to share how did you get the inputs? I will try to check the other two transactions as well.

Thank you very much sir!

Between my 1BTC for 8000 XEL selling proposal is still valid, some guy contacted me but apparently they did not ultimate the trade or at least they have not yet responded me back, so, get your XEL at best rate on the market ever please!
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: June 16, 2016, 11:57:30 PM
... yes, and all three multisig wallets seem to be different  Wink

The last one 8cd58d9367016007c03acbd51feeb61453feea624dd333034df8af32ff3eccee
has the input script

Code:
OP_2 21 028e3ff9878134a6248483c7e6b4a9885b47185034f035b439098f71e7fc2f508c 21 02d1ae218b3d2d0009dd5f12eeae8195055913d413e92b823737992c1c136c1453 21 033fcfadccd1040576e86105fd70f71a89426b813bea55d7155c4e91773d5da676 OP_3 OP_CHECKMULTISIG

So you will need two of three private keys that belong to these public keys:

028e3ff9878134a6248483c7e6b4a9885b47185034f035b439098f71e7fc2f508c
02d1ae218b3d2d0009dd5f12eeae8195055913d413e92b823737992c1c136c1453
033fcfadccd1040576e86105fd70f71a89426b813bea55d7155c4e91773d5da676

Does that make sense or am I totally wrong here?

What a volcano of ideas Smiley
I would say go ahead with a lite wallet, it would be really nice if users are allowed to utilize the basic functions before the full wallet goes online.

Between have you got any idea why the owner_pubkey of my donation does not match the actual public key of the address I sent the donation from? None of the public keys of my 3 different donations match. Does it appear as encrypted in the genesis block?

If you could share your txid with us, we could take a look ;-)

Thank you sir!

I just figured out I sent the donations from a multisig wallet, might it be the cause of the mismatch?
277  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum does not sign a message on: June 16, 2016, 09:27:27 PM
This is the error

-pic-

it's not possible signing a multisig address (address that begins with 3.) with electrum.

Ohhh thank you Cheesy
How to proceed? I really need to prove the ownership of the address, will the bitcoin core wallet let me sign it?

279  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum does not sign a message on: June 16, 2016, 09:18:11 PM
what version are you using? and on the second box of the sign message window, does it say address or public key? if it says public key then you have to enter the public key (which also means that you're running an old version).

I should be on the latest version, 2.6.4.
In the second box it asks me for an address, and that's what I am putting in it.
Another weird thing: when I try to encrypt a message it just lets me do it.
When I try to decrypt the very same encrypted message and address it just says me address not found.

Can the whole wallet be somehow corrupted?
