I was eager to mine this coin. But now I don't feel it is worth it. Why?
- Premine amount could be ok, except, an exchange already exists. The idea would be excellent if this coin wasn't premined. It would be fair to all. I'm not against premined stuff as long the devs use it with responsabilty, to promote and inform everyone.
- Misleading information. If you notice, everything is well written and carefully planned. So, I don't believe it is a mistake by the devs (they plan an exchange and post wrong block rewards info??? I don't think so).
- The farm issues. Never seen so much hash power pointed this fast, to a coin, specially a new one. Very disturbing and very strange.
I have nothing against the coin or the devs. I, however, stopped mining it a few minutes ago and turned my hash to other coins. I could be wrong and this coin could be valuable but I don't believe in unfair starts and this is what is happening. Just my 2cents.

This is the worst coin yet, it's already on exchange and you can guarantee the premine is getting dumped out on people right now.

I'm giving up after 8 hours of mining and only 3k on dedicated... what a waste of time an hash... I'm happy I didn't spend it all on this coin.

how much mh/s? Yeah - it boggles me to hear this because Dedicated is like 60% of the network and coins are rolling in like crazy. If you only had 1Mh/s, 3K is great. Provide details and I'll confirm them on the database side. The start was rocky and if you scroll back a few pages you'll see the official statement. All pools had problems with the low diff, some didn't recover - we did. Hope this helps. I always would like to look in to every complaint 100% so let me know some more details or feel free to email me admin@dedicatedpool.com - I will spend the time with you to get to the bottom of this. Well, than I guess it is ok, I mean I had one r9 290 (820mhs) and 280x (760khs - asus rog plat.) (between 1.4 to 1.7 mhs) since midnight, some weird stops along the way, until 8.30 AM. I'm getting rejected shares while solo mining (also "pool 0 stale share bla bla bla" . I'm not connected to any pool. Can anyone telling me what is happening?  Someone was just a bit faster with finding a block than you... Ok, but shares don't count when solo mining. Itīs the whole block. Is this a cgminer bug? |

You know what.
I bought in with a lot of money and I'm not selling for a loss. All altcoins are down at the moment and I think they will all go back up. I'm just a bit pissed off that when any altcoin goes on the market it gets priced 10x what it eventually goes down to in a short term. Some of us buy coins expecting a return for whatever reason from paying bills to whatever it is you need the money for.
I am going to wait this out and see it to the end or at least until it goes up in value. I'm putting my trust in Hendo and Maco and if I ended up making a shitty speculative investment in the end, then so be it.
I'm all in with this coin for what I put in. It is either I make gains or I lose my investment completely. I'm done caring about the price for now. I'm not in favor of block reward halving for this coin. I hope it all gets mined asap.
Every single coin I distributed my $3,000 worth of btc into lately has gone down. Battlecoin, Ron Paul Coin, Dogecoin, Moon Coin, Lotto Coin, 42Coin. I have taken losses on all those coins. Fuck taking a loss. I'm going to wait and hold all my coins.

I still believe completely to this coin (holding firmly my stack), It's beet great start and the coin is still young. People need some patience, you just can't expect your (at least mine) favorite altcoin to be the most profitable/valuable all the time. Give some time to it. I'm positive that Maco and Hendo have been doing tremendously good work for the 42 coin so far. If you cannot see them posting 24/7 it does not mean that they have abandoned the coin. I don't know why ppl start to spread some strange rumors to what I don't see any ground to it. Let them talk. All good to ALL 42 lovers! Peace!
