If you just started using a wallet or have had it offline for a long time, most likely you just have to wait until your client downloads them. I haven't run the wallet in a long time. Didn't realize I didn't have all the blocks. I'm only at 13800 blocks. I guess I have quite a bit longer to wait. Thanks for the reminder.

I withdrew some bitcoins from ExchangeBitcoins.com and sent them to my bitcoin wallet. That was over 8 hours ago. How long does it usually take to get to a wallet? It's the first time I've used that site in combination with a wallet.

Also, does it matter if my computer/the wallet program isn't running all the time? I had it on when I first made the transfer, waited 30 minutes, then turned off my computer. Is that a problem?

Hey there,

A little about myself:
Started in bitcoins in May, did a little mining (earned about 2 btc, not bad), and then i forgot about btc for a while. I'm back now and want to do some trading. Hopefully will find some willing traders on here, as bitcoin-otc seems to be a bit dead these days.
