101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think about this idea? on: December 21, 2013, 06:33:12 AM
Just like local SEO, I would not bother to compete with locals.
If you are a small succes you will be copied and bypassed in a short period.
India has too many wizkids, entrpreneurs, senior professionals in their borders.
I would consider to do a joint venture then.
Make sure you have local knowlegde / culture / marketing / legislation covered.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin life depends on China on: December 21, 2013, 06:28:26 AM
Nope, not only China.

Another big positive factor is VC capital in related concepts:
"The investor community, however, might see things differently. They’re not investing in the Bitcoin currency so much as in its underlying infrastructure, which could serve other virtual currencies in the future, said Barry Silbert, an active angel investor in the industry. So if Bitcoin fails, it may not even matter to them, or to the startups."
See http://www.pcworld.com/article/2082700/could-bitcoins-frothy-venture-funding-dry-up.html

Another factor are:
The 188-195 (depends on definition) other countries in the world.
Like in South America where high inflation is very common.

Another big factor is

103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain altcoin mining to me like I'm an idiot? on: December 21, 2013, 06:22:38 AM
mining -> solve difficult puzzles and get reward
building a rig -> build super calculator to help solve puzzles
joining a pool -> solve difficult puzzles together so you solve more per day

if i were you, i would just play sudoku and buy/sell btc / altcoins

Good luck :-)

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Only 4 altcoins exist that provide additional value over bitcoin... on: December 14, 2013, 11:37:06 AM
See http://www.heavy.com/tech/2013/12/datacoin-info/

Ian classifies Datacoin as a special type of cryptocurrency or Distributed Autonomous Corporation that has functions outside of monetary exchange. He says, “Currently, there are only 4 coins that stand out for giving more value than a simple currency: Mastercoin, Protoshares, Namecoin and Datacoin.” These coins have an advantage over Bitcoin because they add intrinsic value to the currency.

The page also has a link to Datacoin [GIVEAWAY]

Please note: the author has long positions in the 4 coins above ;-)

=> Let's PUMP and not dump ;-)

Please provide your comments

Update:

I have been privately informed that a certain stakeholder has formally pressed charges against them in the Netherlands.

( I will also try to press charges when I know the police department involved and the case number )

1. domainsbyproxy states on it's homepage: "Private Registration Helps You... Protect your identity .. But don't even think about using our service to spam, violate the law, or engage in morally objectionable activities."

2. domainsbyproxy is not able to provide identity without a formal request from a legal autority:

All here are updates:

1. According to: http://cryptonerd.co/scrypt-cloud-hashing-is-here/
The GroupHashing services are hosted by: ReleaseNetworks in Amsterdam
I just got reply from ReleaseNetworks.
ReleaseNetworks confirms that they do provide hosting for the servers for GroupHashing.
FYI. ReleaseNetworks also comments in thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345168.0

2. GroupHashing just did send a reply that they are very busy and have activated my contract.
When I log in, the account does seem to be active.

=> For now, it does NOT seem to be a scam.
Please let me provide an update when delivered.
