Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Find The True Value Of Bitcoin
|
on: December 26, 2019, 04:00:32 PM

The true value is whatever it is at any given point in time, because that is the price point where demand meets supply and supply meets demand. The market tells you the value in real time - currently it is $7267 - so that is the value. There is no other "true value".

Thanks for replying. It seems that there has been a further delay to January as you say, much later than planned, with the whitepaper milestones not being reached as a result. Yes it would be good if they provided an update to their investors, bounty marketeers and their community in general. The bounty is overdue by quite some distance and I am sure the followers, the MOBU community etc. would welcome some news of developments.
I have received a response about the bounty tokens as well - that we should expect them around the end of February. I don't mind the delay even if obviously it would have been better without it, as long as they get the funding and develop their project accordingly. Africa is definitely unchartered territory and is full of potential. If MOBU does this right there could be an abundance of opportunity and growth potential awaiting for us. They didn't do very well from the last crowdsale but did get funding from other means. They also seem to be seeking more funding privately and/ or through partnerships. It's a massive project potentially and I think I originally read in the whitepaper that Africa is a key region they want to bring digital banking to. I've read that in whitepapers of several projects but no project has yet to capitalise on this region. Thanks for replying about the bounty information. I'm not bothered about delays either, but some updates once in a while show us, the community and followers, that we haven't been forgotten. When we don't hear anything then we feel neglected. Unfortunately many projects fall into this type of behaviour and there's usually not a great deal we can do about it. Anyway, hopefully, at least, there will be some proitive developments on this project in the coming two or three months that we will hear about!

Hello everyone. This project was due to go live and get a listing of the token on exchanges at July 2019. The team decided it was a good idea to postpone the listing and the distribution of tokens which was then supposed to happen in October 2019. But since July 2019 the team have not informed the community, the investors or the bounty users of any issues, but the project has remained quiet with no updates at all from the team. What is happening with the project, the token listing, the bounty and the investors money? Can someone from the team please respond to the mobu community to update us? We are keen to continue to support the project, many of us who invested in it believed in it, and we continue to support it and wish the best for it, but we would apprecaite updates to inform us of the progress.
I have got back from them on Twitter. It looks like they are looking to "secure" the funding by January 2020. They have stated they'll reward the investors with extra tokens for the delay, not sure about the bounty token though - waiting a reply on that. It would be best for them to post an official update on their medium and/or here on the ANN thread. Thanks for replying. As you know Facebook announced their own cryptocurrency LIBRA but various legislation needs to complete before launched, so after launch can buy but this will be stable coin and will not affect BTC price.
There is no indication it will be a stablecoin. It will be on exchanges and will not be pegged to any fiat money like dollars, so it will move like all the othe other alts and be volatile. It will behave in the same way as the alts based on market conditions with same price movements.

It seems we are still struggling in the bearish market, Bitcoin has a high trend to break the bear, but some whale greedy people are taking profits every time it tries to reach a new high, so it falls significantly. I guess its all about manipulation of the market by a group of BTC whale.
Why are you calling this a bear market? Just a few months ago bitcoin was at 3000$ and now it has reached more than 10000$ which is more than 3 times increase in short space of time. This is called a big bull market. The same with the alts which have also gone up more than 3 times.

No coin can compete with bitcoin due to the fact that no coin can achieve the same distribution that bitcoin has. then to even suggest that some stablecoin from Facebook would replace anything..
I do not think bitcoin can be replaced by the facebook coin. Bitcoin already has ten years head start and many developers all over the world, whereas facebook only has its own teams of developers without the experience of bitcoin.

As BTC seems to be in BULL run so all the investors are now only focusing the BTC but as soon as the market stabilized ALT coins will also start go up.
The coins markets change in time. Sometimes when one coin has a bull run other coins have bear run but this can then reverse in that the bears runs becomes bulls runs and the opposite as well. We will see alts going into bull runs many times over the days the weeks and the months coming.

I know some people who have sold shit coins at the right time and became really rich. Sometimes shitcoins can be a good stap forward. But it is very dangerous
Everyone is not agreeing that the coins are not good and because some people have value in these coins it means that can make good profits on them, so they are not all wasted.

things that are needed by a bounty hunter, especially for a bounty hunter who is just starting out, so this is the most needed thing
when the bounty hunter has needed they are applied for the bounties of different teams in different coins this does not matter if starting out or experienced is the same rules and the sames things needed

Depends on where you use it. Most people i know don't deal with ltc and have only btc and eth.
Yea sure, this is how some people figure is the best way, use the kings of crypto which is bitcoins and the eth. Ltc never really took off because so many people are not using it as much as bitcoin which also has the store of value for many people.

I agree completely, everything is in our hands, we create and make our lives, but the risk is also a move forward and it is not always true
But if you don't take risk you won't get anything back. You have to take the risk to try and succeed as best as you can for you and your loved ones. This is how to be more secure in life.

Everyone decides for himself what he wants to get from cryptocurrencies. I don't think cryptocurrencies are entirely risk-based. If you invest in the long term, you are more likely to make a profit.
The main people that make the big profits are the hodles because they wait for the prices to move more for better incomes and the more time the wait the more prices will change so it is better to wait and hodle.

I have a very good intuition in the other direction. If I buy something, then it falls in price. If I sell, it grows almost immediately. Am I following the crowd and losing, or are I being harassed (curse)? Am I the only one?
This is called the markets and the way it works. It is normal for them to go up or down every week and actually most people find the same experience with all the cryptocurrencies. If you do your own research and choose the best time to buy your cryptos you will make the best incomes.

Its soooo unfair.. like i will hold USDT for weeks at a time, and all the coins will pump! but the day i decide to finally invest in a altcoin, it instantly turns into a blood bath! EVERY FRIGGIN TIME and i buy at the BOTTOM of the BOTTOM... whyyy does this always happen to me.. its totally not fair anyways.. what do you guys think about Wabi and KMD.. do you like these coins? thnxx I can see the mistake you make. You need to follow the advice from the senior members and take more active approach to listen to the good advice. You instead make the mistakes but it is obvious.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat

I have overhead many people in various bounty groups talking about how bounty campaigns are gonna die should we move on from ICO to rampant IEO issuance (maybe the exchanges shall take over the advertisements or so).
Fact is that if IEOs become a thing, many projects will arise and hence the services of bounty hunters shall be required again. Every project needs advertisements to expand and that's why we are there as bounty hunters. This is the same way ICOs grew in number.
All we should hope for is a better crypto ecosystem because at the end, we shall be needed for promotion in one way or the other
Yes, IEOs aren't threatening, but it's a fact that someone will be a victim in a day. Please be careful when investing, even if Binance IEO. Binance took a beautiful wind behind, but it would not last forever. IEO is just another form of investing in crypto. It does not matter if it is exchange directly, the point is it is still a cryptocurrency and would work the same way. The bonus is that it is backed onto the exchange.
