1  Economy / Lending / Re: Islamic Bank of Bitcoin - LOANS on: January 13, 2014, 08:35:38 AM
Hey there,

Looking for a small loan to buy some mining equipment. I'm going to mine LTC instead of BTC while the difficulty is still fairly low.

This is the rig I plan on purchasing: http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/sys/4272163782.html

I've already spoke to the guy that's selling it and we both agreed on a price of $1,075 or 1.3 BTC

I've seen the PC in person and I'll be able to generate between 30 or more LTC every few weeks.

Currently, I have .329 BTC in my BlockChain.

I've been trying to purchase BTC on Coinbase for weeks and they keep canceling my orders.

I can provide a copy of my Florida drivers license if necessary. I'm assuming you aren't in the Miami.. So it'd be kinda hard to provide you something physical as collateral. I have a ton of gold coins that I can sell at anytime to repay this loan. I used to be a coin collector and recently moved over to BTC and LTC.

My BTC address is: 1A6vQrdbQcb4SUqsH493AyFmjGFpW6MGfY

I can be reached via email 24/7 at: Tcollins305@mail.com

If anyone can help or would like to go half on this project... please let me know ASAP!

Thanks Smiley
For your own sake, don't buy this machine. It's only doing 800kh/s which means a break even in 250+ days. For that price, you should be getting a machine that easily does 1.2-1.4Mh/s.

EDIT: This machine will pull in 30 LTC every 6 months, not every few weeks.

One thing i find odd, is that the advertisement in the newbie section has the old price of 4k$ instead of the discounted price of 2k$.

The advertisement is incorrect and out dated.

The original $4650 price tag was for Batch 1 with an earlier delivery date. The estimate for shipping was January 2014.
The new $2k price tag is for Batch 2 with a later deliver date. The justification for the price difference was down to recovery of RnD dollars paid for by Batch 1. The advantage of the new price is that the customer gets the same product for a significantly cheaper price. The negative is that by the time it's delivered, it's absolutely, completely and utterly useless.

Just to chime in here.

First off, it is important to us that we are as transparent as possible. We announced our release date was late Feb since day one even while our competition was saying they were going to release months prior. We analyzed our situation and had forecast our honest release date. We've not had any setbacks and are proceeding slightly ahead of schedule. There's absolutely no reason for us to change our release date.

I'll pay attention to this thread especially closely over the next few days and try to answer any questions that may come up.

Thanks!

There are couple of consistent posters asking same question, without answers. Smiley

I opened a ticket though.  (which hasn't been answered yet.)

They're more responsive on skype, but the guy answering there doesn't seem to have much info besides, "We're on track to hit the date"

I think that's the best thing they could respond with (depending on the question, of course). Their time is best spent working towards this promise.

Just remember, Feb 24 is the date they envisage they will start shipping, starting with Order #1. This doesn't mean every single order will ship on this day. They'll be sending your order according to your place in the queue. My ship date changed to early March. I'm OK with that. If I wanted an earlier shipping date, I should have ordered earlier.

Convinced 6 people to pool our $ and buy an ASIC super hasher.

Super hasher ? Sounds like it doesnt exist now and is preorder instead  Tongue

Yes, it's pre order with ETA of June....2015   Tongue
Seriously, we're starting off with one BlackArrow X-3 and reinvesting all profits into new hardware. 2TH/s should be OK for the next 6 months, after which it'll be an expensive and inefficient heater for the coming winter months.
