1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like the 13.5 bid wall is holding up. But for how long? on: July 18, 2011, 11:29:10 AM
I'm not trying for $12 - I'm simply going with the trend. I'd suggest you do the same unless you want to lose money lol
3 "A":
And now tell me, who is determining the trend?
As for now, i only see forum full of FUD with the downtrend. Hate such manipulation attemps, they are sick.
Also I don't see the bearish trend right now. It's simple sideways. If spreading FUD wouldn't stop on the forum, yes, strong bears are coming, but have your ever thought that in price of profitability we are endangering weak Bitcoin economy - it might even crash under the big bear.It need uptrend support now.
PS: this wasn't adressed particularly to you, take it easy Smiley my thoughts only
2  Economy / Economics / Re: we just hit 10 USD on: July 18, 2011, 07:14:17 AM
I don't understand why people are still buying and why people want the price to go DOWN

Do you want to lose money?

If anything buy but push the price UP
+. that's only what i'll plus. this forum stinks so bearish and spreading fear...

PS: obviously, they want to beat price down because they missed the jump-in point for some reason Smiley
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: $/BTC Time Series Analysis on: July 18, 2011, 01:13:02 AM

Which is how I came up with this completely unscientific wishful (helps me sleep at night) chart based on (check out the 's' and 'e' parameters) http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/chart.png?m=mtgoxUSD&c=1&t=S&s=2010-10-25&e=2011-01-15 :

I'd say it's a smart point of view, IMO, i see our short-term similar to this(but not so fast and not now, patience is the key) if trend continues...
4  Economy / Economics / Re: we just hit 10 USD on: July 18, 2011, 12:57:05 AM
as for me, i'm pretty sure that we won't break 13 USD barrier in short-term. partial buying now seems wise solution to me.

I'll take you up on that.  I think $13 will be well ass broken by EOB today.

where is your God now? Smiley
in 1-2 days IMO we don't break 13 USD mark. and if trading will close above 14$ there are obvious signs of mini-rally.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market or Market Correction. on: July 18, 2011, 12:54:26 AM
Hah, "impatient child" you say? No offence man, but that was the simplest market manipulation. It is in effect ever now. We're open to an uptrend but not instantly, though.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we reach at 12$? on: July 17, 2011, 02:16:50 PM
For several days now the course has been falling. At the moment it is around 13.100$.

So the question arises if we will reach at 12$ AGAIN?

i'd vote "no" if you mean short-term. support is strong enough and miners isn't very profitable to sell this price, they could simply wait a week-or-so and sell(if they want to sell now though) for higher prices..
all you could pray at is speculators Smiley
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market or Market Correction. on: July 17, 2011, 12:49:34 PM
there's a wall @ 13 and 13.02, therefore almostly no wall to higher levels (only 1270 BTC to 13.6 USD), and this could simply ignite the-so-long-and-faithfully-waiting rally. So what's holding us?

By the time a "rally" does actually happen, we'll probably only be rallying up to prices at or lower than the prices at which people began predicting there'd be a rally.  The rally predictions have been going on for well over a week now.

Hear, Hear!

Volumes say it all at the moment, there's a glut on the supply side that needs to be sold and the bidders know there is no pressure to pay upwards for it. Until this situation is changed, or something else emerges to ignite a rally there'll be no action.

Think of it this way....miners need to feed their children and fuel their drug habits, buyers just can sit and wait for the moment.  Tongue

You forgot human's greed factor Smiley The longer market is "dead" (like right now), the greeder become most buyers("OMG I'LL MISS A RALLY, I'LL BETA BUY HIGHER!!!111").
And most miners don't do this as a primary job(it seems silly to me to count on btc mining only and investing what you can't afford to lose), thus "feeding children" is not connected to bitcoin anyway. Miners know the price for coin. They just need some more time.

12  Economy / Currency exchange / Bitcoin to credit card[interest] on: July 16, 2011, 03:06:29 PM
Hey, I'm just discovering, is anyone interested in buying BTC for direct VISA transfer(card-to-card or something-to-card) for fair MtGox rates?
[added] I sell BTC. I cannot initiate chargeback.Buyer can.
I know it is dangerous though i'll trade with only trusted members of community. Sum of the deal will be around 120 USD.Discuss/PM me.
PS: the best automated way to my debit card takes 10% overall. so that's why i am here.

Uhm, then - I don't know. I browsed many english and german\chinese(these 2 with Google Translate ofc Smiley ), and all i see is 8-15$ commision for even 50$ prepaid card. That's really weird. I met YAD service accidentaly, they don't even advertise it on their site, you should manually go to Services section and it will be there.
And what's problem with different language? Google translate is doing it best.
If you mean trustworthy...well, they run that site as i know from early 2000, and i bought 50$ and 75.5$(yeah it's possible) mastercard for use on paypal there Smiley

I'll start for example:

In Soviet Russia, bitcoin mines you!
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2 Virtual Credit Card, fees too steep? on: July 15, 2011, 01:13:45 AM
I can only recommend what i use - Yandex Money. It is in RUR, but you  can order prepaid Mastercard in USD or EUR too. It has no commissions on transaction, lasts one month, and costs only 2% from the card balance and additional 0.5 USD one-time. Works in Paypal well, you can order SMS notification for 0.7 USD one-time payment. This is an experience share, no ad.You can find that site in google.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: July 09, 2011, 08:36:31 AM
Hello, i'd like to be whitelisted.
I'm on this forum from early June, mined some BTC with my crappy HD4730 (running at 680 mem/820 core @ 80 C), and worked out BEST setting for that card -
poclbm -w64 -f20(this makes desktop responsive enough). And without vectors, they decrease perfomance very bad. @ my setting, i get 80.5 Mhash/s stable, using ATI Stream 2.3, and GUI Miner.
Now it's time to act here Smiley
