You really are spending a lot of energy for a coin you don't believe in. It usually is because you sold out and regret it, or will eventually regret it plain and simple. I think part of the point is financial freedom from the $. For example - Native Americans have the right to set-up casinos to earn a living for their communities. If they have their own currency, then they can set-up online casinos and transact with a global audience with their own currency. That could be worth $billions every month, who knows.

Lets give it a chance before we remove opportunity from them. That's all anyone really wants - opportunity. That's why rural areas have become deserts, people are moving to cities for greater opportunities; hence we have more than 50% of the global population living in urban environments. Yes, this is the prominent concern. But, humor the idea for a second. There is a chance, even if it's small, there is a chance that the guy behind this coin manages to sell the idea to a significant portion of the 50,000 you're talking about. What other coin has a community of 2, 5, or 10 thousand attentive followers that actually embrace the idea beyond market speculation. Imagine the enthusiasm/engagement of doge by thousands of people, only instead of being strangers tied together loosely by forums and chat rooms - it's an actual lineage of culturally, geographically, and genetically connected people that all share somewhat common interests with a unified economic movement. Even if they don't have much of an economic machine, a concentrated user base like this could actually do something monumental just by integrating what little economy they do have into this idea. If it was embraced at all in their society the internet community at large would also respond, and I could easily see a doge-like outpouring of enthusiasm, support, and generosity/inclusion from internet strangers into this focused and progressive movement by a very real group of people who need something revolutionary.
