1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.3b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 08, 2020, 05:33:44 PM
Hello guys... I need some help here.

I switched my gpus (gtx 1070 8gb) to ETH after a long time, and what I see is some strange behavior. It seems that hashrate is low, and memory overclock doesn't have any effect.
What I was able to google out is that apparently when there is more than 50% of 1070's gpu memory utilized it starts to behave strangely. When I try mining ETC everything is normal (sure ETC have DAG size much lower, after fork).
So mining ETC I am able to get 33 MHs at 90W with underclock and undervolt core and overclocked memory as much as possible, while
mining ETH I get 28 MHs at 115W (overclocked nd undervolted core, little overclock on memory) ... you see my despair Cheesy ... also mining ETH overclockin core have positive effect on hashrate, while overclocking memory doesn't have any impact - which is not normal for ethash.

It happens the same on windows or linux (hive os), the same on all miners (lol miner, phoenix miner, t-rex miner ...)

I was not able to find any solution to this.
So is there any workaround this issue?
Thanks for your help Wink Cheers

Resignation from Alloy Project

I joined Alloy Project about 5 months ago. In this time my role was to support community and try to raise awareness about Alloy Project in crypto world, without spending any coins from Alloy development fund. It is worth mentioning that in all this time I haven’t received not a single coin from Alloy funders (not for myself and not for marketing purposes). What is more, I spend some of my personal coins (that I bought on exchange with my own money) to pay for some promotion activities/bounties.

Recently (about 4 weeks ago) one of Alloy Project founders — OxHaK, announced to us that he is leaving the project, because he no longer believes in it. At that time me and Kh4n were willing to take all the burden of such project on our shoulders, because we strongly believe in the project.

With recent development of project OxHaK recognised his interest in the project, may it be good or bad, and suddenly returned to Alloy. He has instantly deleted some of my announcements and taken away all my authorisations. Now he is acting like he has never left the project. Since I have joined the project OxHaK has been constantly promising what he will do, but has never delivered any of it. As far as I see things, OxHaK hasn’t done anything in this past 5 months. Most of the work, development wise, was done by Kh4n.

Some 3 months ago I proposed to the team to reveal our real identities, in order for people to see that we are willing to stand behind project with our real name. As my intention was always for the best of the project, and for that I was willing to risk my privacy. And guess what? OxHaK was the only one strongly against it.

Now, OxHaK will probably try to ruin my credibility by stating that I am working for CryptoNote fund ICO. It is true, I am advisor for CNIF, but there has never been any conflict of interest. My work for both project is legit, and I have nothing to hide. If I had something to hide, I wouldn’t agree that CNIF publish my real personal informations on their website. I have never directly promoted CNIF ICO on Alloy social media channels, and I have never asked anyone in Alloy community to go invest in Fund. All I did was emphasise the importance and benefits that Alloy could have if it was selected in Fund. And I asked people to go vote for Alloy, NOT to go invest in Fund. I still believe that this Fund is great oportunity for Alloy Project to get much wider audience, and good marketing, and I am sure that this last price increase was caused because Alloy was exposed to much wider audience thanks to the Fund. In my announcement I stated “At this point it is also wise to say that Alloy Project is in no way connected with Fund, except that Fund is potential buyer of XAO on exchanges, therefore if anything negative happens with Fund this should not affect Alloy Project in any way.”.

There might have been some concerns that latest price surge was caused by Fund. Let me explain that latest price surge was organice, because Fund has not made any investment yet. Fund will start buying cryptocurrencies after January 12th 2019, when ICO phase ends.

I don’t like the way OxHaK works, and I believe he is the limiting factor for Alloy Project. Many times he was blocking my marketing atempts, and therefore obstructed projects development. I believe he is damaging the project, intentionally or not.

I am still interested to work for Alloy Project, but obviously I am not willing to work with someone who I believe is harmful for the project. So at this point I resign from Alloy Project!

LukaL

Started mining Alloy today, my hashrate is half what it is usually on Cryptonight coins...  Cry

This is exactly how much it should be on Cryptonight Alloy mining algorithm... So everything is ok..

I'm having the same issue with my GUI wallet hashing, but not collecting coins through alloypool. Can you post a tutorial of how to switch mining pools? My efforts to change pools have been unsuccessful.

When you are in GUI wallet, you need to go to Mining tab -> the lowest one on the left. In Mining tab you have list of pools, you need to drag the one you prefer to the top of the list. If your prefered pool is not on the list, or data is incorrect you need to manually add new pool at the bottom... and that is pretty much it... just remember the pool you prefer have to be on the top of the list...

Thanks @Lukal! That was easy enough. Also. I was pleased to see that after joining a working pool I seem to have been credited for the hash power I had contributed but yet to be compensated for. Just got a nice deposit of 50.6 XAO. SWEET!

Glad to help Wink

...so much confusing.... Wink Wink..always for a person like me...  Cheesy

Hi all, the mining function in my Alloy wallet is still hashing but has not paid anything for a few days, did something change?

 Huh

Hi...I am not sure, I will take a look and will come back to you...

I have checked it and the thing is : Mining with your GUI wallet you actually mine through alloypool.com, so your hash rate goes through that pool, and you also receive payments from that pool. As of 9th August payment system of alloypool.com is broken, due to some problems with chainsplit. But you don't have to worry, because you will get all your payments once it is fixed. As long as pool is finding blocks, and as long as your pending balance grows everything is ok... You can check directly on the pool with your wallet address, and you will see how much is your pending balance. One of our devs who is in charge of that pool is currently on vacations, and as soon as he comes back we will fix this problem. We appologise for any possible inconveniences...

I tried using the webminer through alloyexplore.com on my iphone just to see what kind of hash rate I would get and it never started working. I chose cryptoknight.cc/alloy and it reads "no job yet," Is it still buggy or did i do something wrong?

Hi, our webminer has been updated...and ios devices should work now...can you try with your Iphone again? Cheers

It should work... but let me check it myself and ask dev about it, and I will come back to you...

In-depth discussions and all that…
Love it! Alloy community is among the most tech-savvy in my experience! Great stuff, guys!
In any case, let's wish the guys luck and patience to realize the project, this is the main thing

thanks, we are standing behind our ideas, and we are working to realise them... it won't happen tomorrow, but give us some reasonable time frames, and we won't let you down... Smiley

OH MAN!!! I just woke up from a crazy dream that XAO was listed on Binance. It was so real that before I was fully awake I logged onto Binance and had myself convinced it was real (That was part of the dream). I even woke up and had written XAO in the search bar. I can't wait until this dream becomes reality. Any news on future exchange listings?

Haha, that was not a bad dream! I am not sure about binance, but one day we will be on a big exchange. I am still waiting for Cryptobridge to update support for cryptonote cryptocurrencies.

Hello,
How to mine this coin with AMD GPU?
Does XMR Stak, XMRig or SRBMiner support it?

Hi, XMR stak and SRBminer support Alloy for AMD GPU mining... take a look at this video
