2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ATTN] Coingen Want to Make Your Own Coin??? or Want to Implode All Altcoins??? on: January 03, 2014, 08:38:16 PM
Anyone want to make OBAMA COIN
The catch?
When you mine coins the blcok is distributed evenly amongst the pool instead of share rate. Everyone is even

I am doing Republicoin.

The blocks you mine get outsourced to china at an increasing rate.

First 1000 Blocks 10% outsourced to chinese miners
next 10000 blocks 20% is outsourced to chinese miners.

So on.. until we reach 100% outsourcing.

COMUCOIN
all your hashes are distributed equally among the pool

Yes.
However, the 1% lowest hashrates of the pool are not paid because they are not productive enough. They work for free for the better good of the community
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DIME] Dimecoin | Many Coins | Step Reward | CPU mining on: December 26, 2013, 01:20:53 PM
So there are about 200 million coins given away from the 36.8 billion pre-mined ?
So you keep 99.5% of what you premined and give away 0.5%, that's the spirit?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][TLC]travelcoin - secure CPU only cryptographic coin on: December 26, 2013, 12:29:20 PM
Thanks for bringing such an innovative coin on the forum

So you premined 36 billion coins and you're giving away 10 millions ? Are you going to make 3 600 giveaway topics ?

Ask the dev who premined 270 millions, i'm sure they'll be more than happy to sell .5% of what they own
what premine are you talking about?

earth coins premine

I'm out =/

Wait. What? These were premined?

premined 2% (main post)
13.5 billion total coins

Wow it's mining slowly for a new coin..
only like 100 coins in half an hour @ 200kh/s
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to rent out your scrypt miner? on: December 19, 2013, 05:19:51 PM
If you pay less than what you get from mining why would anyone rent to you?
if you pay more than what you're getting, then why bother renting instead of just buying the LTCs?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRE [ANN] CureCoin Pande Labs team to have conference call with CureCoin Devs on: December 16, 2013, 08:57:47 PM
Seems a bit of an update is in order, even if it's just a 'Project is going well' update Smiley

So, project is doing well. We're working on getting supporting software ready for release and making sure we're exactly on par with Stanford. Stanford's at a bit of a slow-down with finals and end-of-semester stuff, which is, of course, to be expected. We don't have a release date yet, we have quite a few ideas still floating around.

As for donations, I'm pretty sure you can still send them to the 1JESUE... address, but the 10k CUR / BTC promotion is over, any money sent to that address will be a pure donation. A lot of people are on track to get some CureCoins for their prior donations Cheesy

So project is still chugging along, squashing bugs and adding awesome. Hopefully one of us can have a juicier update soon.

So.. 2014 I presume?
It would be great to have news more often, even just to say all is ok Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Split work to different pools? on: December 15, 2013, 08:40:01 PM
pool settings , balance or load balance?

i think that way lowers my overall total hashrate but i may be wrong

I would like the actual cgminer splitting the work to different accounts on give-me-coins.com pool
2 startup config giles for each pool, and run then alternatively for 10 minutes and 90 minutes with another scrypt

We still at 0.00001140 difficulty and it takes 30min+ to find a single block... Sad
Maybe this will change in 48h.
Else I doubt people will be mining considering there are no pools.

MMC is now synced and if I try to mine with minerd I get

minerd.exe  -o localhost:
1968 -u name -p xxx

The Proof-of-Work is not scrypt. minerd won't work.

Would a protoshare miner work?
