I have to offer 0.4% fee, we need more hash, now at ~ 2THS.

OxoPool

http://www.oxo.rs
Payouts run every hour

Claymore Dual Miner 11 :

-dcoin blake2s -dpool stratum+tcp://mining.oxo.rs:4444 -dwal <WALLET_ADDRESS> -dpsw c=XVG -dcri 30

Who, but very few people, could compete with 2THS and hope to mine anything when that is one or two people? % shares against that would be a decimal with several zeros behind it.

I've heard people suggest that you'd get more blocks and those decimals would add up, but not enough to make it meaningful.

What are people's thoughts on a "sweet spot" for pool hashrate if they don't have 100 gpu?
182  Economy / Scam Accusations / Miners vs. Pools... on: February 17, 2018, 10:51:30 PM
As I don't run a pool and I'm not familiar with the software, forgive me if this is either repetitive or completely off-base:

For those who develop pool mining software, would it be too much to ask to display a mining pool's wallet address for every coin. Something on the front screen? Something that would have to be verified versus the config file or the active wallet and where a pool is pointed at. I realize that would require help from each -qt dev team, but I think most would be willing to assist in order to help the respective coins "fans".

I'm wondering how many pools scam the miners by attracting them with 0% fees and then change the pool wallet to keep all the blocks without reporting them on what's being actively mined? I'm seeing a lot of new pools pop up (good, variety is the spice of life... within reason) and some even have some impressive combined hashrate, but no blocks.

Ultimately, there should always be transparency between a miner and a pool. Pools get scammed all the time and so they employee specific pay schemes to prevent hoppers and such. What about protection for the miner too?

NEW Verge XVG - blake2s Pool 0% FEES

http://korepool.com

This is for all you XVG miners running Claymore and having trouble finding a pool with capacity. We're running on a dedicated server. No fees.

Claymore Settings:
Code:
-dpool stratum+tcp://korepool.com:5766 -dwal WALLET_ADDRESS -dcoin blake2s -dpsw c=XVG

Miner Settings:
Code:
blake2s -o stratum+tcp://korepool.com:5766 -u WALLET_ADDRESS -p c=XVG

Other coins (YTN, ZEC, DIN)

Happy Mining Everyone.

16+ hours, no blocks with over 70gh/s of combined effort... then all of a sudden, all shares rejected.

Might want to go check your config...

thanks devs for the new wallet. But is there somebody who is able to tell me why is windows core wallet trying to connect to tor? I downloaded only windows core wallet (without tor) and it is not able to run without tor.  Tried to use installer too, and the same.
see the error:
https://imgur.com/a/Nqwt8
tried stealth version from here:
https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/releases/
wanted to use full version but after clicking to the file there is only this:
Quote
<Error><Code>NoSuchKey</Code><Message>The specified key does not exist.</Message><Key>50223128/fae70f02-f4ab-11e7-8e10-0b44ba439dcc</Key><RequestId>8CFADD2A2D24C8CE</RequestId><HostId>YMM/+UJ0NlFUCvZMpmTVwemM0B8r1JBOg33e9RSQSPxzEPMoZ7MYOzeDT0tChUbblGzFKewg39U=</HostId></Error>
and no download. The same for older versions 3 and 2.

There is no announcement about it. No working standard QT wallet, only TOR version. It is a big fail XVG team! How to use my backup wallet.dat file after OS reinstallation? Electrum wallet does not support to import wallet.dat. And older version are also not available for download. Big Thanks devs!

Have you tried adding tor=0 to the conf file in %appdata%\VERGE to see if that works?

So I have read there are problems wsith the 4.0.1 wallet that will orphan blocks. Can anyone confirm that? If true, what's the fix or workaround? I've seen someone mention adding tor=0 to the conf file and that will fix it. I've also hear people rolling back to 4.0 - except I can't seem to find that version anymore.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. As it's a mining question, and not a question about the coin itself (although, this *is* a thread for alt-coin mining), I thought it was appropriate here. I've also posted it over in that thread to hopefully generate a real response. Thanks!

I'm trying out solo mining Verge and all appears to be working fine, except I am getting boos. Can someone please explain what (if anything) can be done to get to green? I know S/A/T means Solved/Accepted/Total Shares... but I'm now at S/A/T : 2/0/2 I'm using Ccminer Alexis-1.0

Are these empty or orphaned blocks? Besides increasing my hashrate, is there anything else on my end that needs to be done?

Thanks for the help!

First off, Nemo, you're awesome! Thank you very much for packaging up your miner and proofing it. I really appreciate not seeing red when the miner builds. Wink As a reformed gamer, I've got a lot of learning left to do. So forgive me if my question has been asked a billion times.

I'm curious though, why don't any of the packaged miners properly display profit? Would there be a way to obtain information from the pool on your shares and use that for calculating profit over time in the front-end? Also, since they don't, won't that skew the auto-switching? Is it best to pick one algo and call it a day? Oh, can you post your XVG wallet address? I'd like to donate to you for your work.

Thanks!

Miners are pool independent.   Profit is pool dependent, usually.  A miner would have to interface with every possible pool to calc profit. It's just not realistic. That's what other applications are for.  A miner's job is to mine coins.

Jagauthier, Nemo's miner does in fact have batch files for very specific pools (one of which I happen to use). My guess is those are pools he also mines from. I'm not asking if he can make some general feature to grab from just any pool, but rather the specific pools he's set his packaged miner up to.

Nemo's packaged miner uses ccminer, and ccminer does it's job... but he has a front-end facing application (launcher) that tries to calculate profits (as many other packaged miners do) and refreshes every 5 minutes. Because this is already a feature of his packaged miner (I assume you know this as you're in his thread). I was asking if there was a better way to calculate the information more accurately from the pools he's already aligned to since the information presently seems spotty.

Thanks for your input though!
