4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple CEO: Bitcoin Is Controlled by China on: June 13, 2018, 11:01:57 AM
Hmm where are the biggest mining hardware companies based ?

PROOF: Bitmain is selling old hardware as NEW miners!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2244677.0

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7txh2f/sooo_you_guys_are_aware_that_bitmain_is_selling/

How cheap is electric in China ?

http://uk.businessinsider.com/why-china-mines-more-bitcoin-than-any-other-country-2017-12

But by far and away the country where most of this mining is taking place is China for a couple of reasons. One – and the biggest reason of all – is low-cost electricity or free electricity.

China has very cheap coal-based electricity and also a lot of extra hydro-capacity.

So a number of hydro-facilities in provinces like Szechuan were developed in anticipation of new cities coming online to take advantage of this new inexpensive electricity.

However that electricity is idle, it’s not being utilised so many hydro dam operators have gone into the cryptocurrency mining business and I think this is important to keep in mind as we think about the environmental impact of bitcoin.

If that electricity is just going to waste it’s already less of a negative externality for bitcoin to be having this excess hydro-capacity used for bitcoin mining.

So just these two factors above state that

1 the worlds biggest ASIC manufactures are running thousands of machines prior to selling them as new
2 electric was/is cheap, free plentiful

The Chinese government surely wouldn't be smart enough to have an interest in having a controlling stake in the biigest asset in a new emerging asset class.

Oh and Garlinghouse the CEO of the 3rd biggest cryptocurrency, got to where he is today by being a total dick that does not know what he is talking about. LOL Sarcasm
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: June 08, 2018, 09:55:08 AM
Wait for the exchanges to start introducing direct fiat to alt coin pairs, then the alts can stand on their own two feet and not be to influenced by the btc price.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin down, what will happen? on: May 23, 2018, 10:42:27 AM
OP If you are of a nervous dispositions then virtual currencies are not somewhere you should be looking to invest. Buy some old car or antique and sit safe in the knowledge that it is increasing by a small % every year.

If however you able to deal with risk and have some perspective on the amount you invest, ie you can afford to lose all of what you invest, then jump in.

Bitcoin will go down and it will go up, just like the sun does everyday.

Price of bitcoin last May was around $2400, currently after a drop its $7,924.89, OP That's a 3 times increase in 12 months,, please show me an investment that has done that in a year and not experienced any drops.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin recover? on: April 12, 2018, 12:41:42 PM
BTC just surged £1000 making main stream news in UK, here comes the first big push, also noticing several ALT coins surging. Hope I have enough seed money invested to get some good gains.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will we stay positive on Bitcoin? on: April 09, 2018, 03:50:28 PM
If you ever go walking to the countryside, you will probably see lots of sheep ( at least in the UK) the funny thing about sheep is, that if you are able to scare one then the rest will run blindly with them. Sure you get the odd tough bastard every now and then who will charge at you, but mostly they just follow the herd.

The amount of bad news that has been rolling out daily only points to one possible scenario ( Manipulation ) the most convincing reason for such an orchestrated manipulation is " the wealthy looking to shake out the weak hands " drive the price down and then take the lions share.

In which case the only possible outlook is to remain positive and to build up as much as possible in the fire sales, in 12 months you will look back and think F**K why didn't I buy more.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suicide due to losses due to investment in virtual currency on: April 03, 2018, 11:15:01 AM
As one the Disney songs goes

"Just around the river bend"

RIP lost soul I hope you find peace.

Keep some perspective though, if he built upto 200 what ever he can build up again.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep calm, and take a coffee. A trader said... on: April 03, 2018, 11:12:03 AM
Price is What You Pay, Value is What You Get.

Warren Buffett once said that as an investor it is wise to be “Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.” ... Keep in mind, the price is what you pay, and value is what you get—pay too high a price and returns are decimated.21 Jan 2016
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a beginner is it too late ? on: March 29, 2018, 09:14:59 AM
Its never to late to lose money, that said it is never to late to make money, the market looks like shit currently, but I have managed to etch out some small gains over the last couple of months. Looking forward to when the market is rising and then it should be a lot easier to make gains.

Check out technical analysis, candlestick patterns, these skills are transferable to any tradable asset, so can help you invest in any market  at any point in the future. I learned these a couple of years ago while playing with binary options, I didn't lose to much there but the knowledge I gained has 100% been useful when trading cryptos.

Good luck may the force be with you.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Richard D. Wyckoff Method of Trading and Investing in Stocks on: March 29, 2018, 08:29:47 AM
The mechanism of investing in shares of companies in the cryptocurrency has similarities in appearance only. On closer examination they are very different. the main difference is that the increase in the prices of shares and cryptocurrencies have absolutely different reasons. I guarantee that not every experienced stock trader will be a successful cryptocurrency trader.

Can you guarantee that the big players cannot manipulate the crypto markets, or spread misinformation to reduce price of the market / certain assets?

Some of the methods described sound very much like what is happening to BTC and the alts market in general.

Yes, I agree, this method works the same way with all the trading products like Cryptocurrencies, Forex, Stocks. But you just need to believe in it for practicing it in the live trading. Richard D Wyckoff always try to see the market with a different angle and he tries to differentiate the moves into two moves naming professional moves made by the professional traders and the Amateur moves made by the Amateur traders and he was the one who discovered the complete cycle of accumulation and distribution and it is because of his analysis many people including me have mastered the art of Tape reading or you can also call VSA ( Volume Spread Analysis). I respect this man's dedication to trading, thanks for sharing the article mate Smiley .

No problems

Thanks for the pointing in the right direction

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: March 28, 2018, 09:40:57 AM
It doesnt matter whether we the people cannot see the cashless world, it only matters what the 1% who run the show want. When the Wright brothers talked about flying, most folks would have never have guessed that in less than 100 years there would be 500,000 people in the air at any one time.

Cashless society is coming whether you see it or not. Great news if your already investing in Crypto, as they cannot change the whole monetary system overnight.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: March 27, 2018, 01:56:32 PM
The elite controllers have wanted to get ride of cash for a long time, see numerous reports and think tank groups on the need for a cashless society. With blockchain tech every transaction can be recorded and traced, hmm sounds just like something the elites would cook up.

Of course crypto is going to replace cash, to deny that would be like saying " there will never be any machines that are smarter than people " Fellow humans soon we will no longer be the top of the food chain.

Some propaganda from the mainstream media, we all know how they can shape change in markets and peoples thinking

Do not think this would be your biggest worry if that scenario came to be.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic sellers, please head for the exit (and don't come back) on: March 16, 2018, 12:26:36 PM
Surely in order for the price to rise, we need to convince these exact type of people to not sell.
