Whats up with CryptoCulture? I haven't been able to connect to the new SSL stratum and the website shows zero on workers and hashrate.

Mother of God!
Another more trick of scamish artos !
No software, no source ... just a pseudo-Junior Recruiter charlatanish speech ...

Had a few nice jumps on Cryptsy's SBC/BTC market late yesterday. Seems like we're making slow but steady progress!

How would we go about informing coinwarz that their information for StableCoin is wrong, sincen they still have the 40 second block time, which means their number of coins per day is wrong? If ya do the math, the number should actually be 1/3 less than what it shows...
Should we send a message through their 'Contact Us' link? (not being snarky) http://www.coinwarz.com/contact

As a bonus, either later today or tomorrow I will be making a post to collect a list of individuals interested in beta testing the mixing service.
Awesome! Thanks Artos.

I've been on both sides of the fence regarding Artos' communication, but for the mean time I'm enjoying the low difficulty!

I know we just finished up the holidays and kicked off a new year, but to echo many of the comments before, what is the state of Stablecoin? Is coin mixing in alpha, beta, still a scribble on a cocktail napkin? Even if everything is behind, no news is worse than bad news.

... planning to get rid of the interface completely.
- very sad. The browser (https) access and the absence of stand-alone client is the most distinguishing (and attractive) feature of Nxt. The browser access successfully works on smartphones right now. Hope BCNext will change his mind regarding browser client. I don't like the java interface at all and would prefer a stable, fast, clean native interface. me too. i want a client which is lean, small, fast and cross os, running without installation from my usb-stick on windows, linux or mac, able to connect to my private local node, my public net node and even to other secured nodes later without any stored browser history and security concerns like this, just by one click from any place. i want to manage my account, handle shares on the asset exchange and use all the cool features nxt is providing soon without leaving the client workspace, just like a central application hub. i also want to see all quotes for other coins, best in near realtime and trade them with advanced tools and technical analysis including candlestick charts. auto-notifications on price-actions and bot-trading with backtesting tools are also welcome. i want a client which never needs updates, because this is built in and it would also nice to add special plugins with a single click and use them without restarting my os or even the client itself. all this should fit into 1mb to send the client via mail to friends without bothering them by complex multilayer installations and make them start nxt easy. well, we don't have it right now but we could have it soon. ;-) http://87.230.14.1/charts/01_screen.png(early prototype running on my win7 vm) Holy cow! That looks great!

Am I understanding correctly that the password is bound to the name and that if you know the password, then you own the name?
If so, then this is a major security flaw, as there is truly no way to transfer ownership of a name from one user to another user (since they both must know the password).
Please tell me I'm misunderstanding it.
If the 2nd person knows the password then it means that the 1st one revealed it. Who r we to decide what account owners r allowed to do with their passwords? I believe xibeijan's concern is that if you were to sell the Alias, and give the buyer your Nxt account password, you (seller) would still have access to the account since you know the password of the Nxt account. Code-from-Beyond mentioned a transfer feature could be added through the auction functionality. You are entering the vicinity of an area adjacent to a location. The kind of place where there might be a monster, or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples; it could also be something much better. Prepare to enter: The Scary Door.

Awesome! Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Important note
"pushThreshold" and "pullThreshold" r set to 0 by default, but everyone who run a public node should mark their nodes with at least 1 NXT, coz in the future these parameters may be set to non-zero values.
Updated nxtbase's web.xml.default template to set to 1. node*.nxtbase.com are updated as well. Same here. *.nxtnode.net updated and thresholds set to 1

Since there is a limit to the connected number of peers, can people use smaller (eg: 512mb RAM) VPS instances to support the network?
- actually you can use 512 MB VPS even with 0.3.18. Okay, just checking. I saw the thread about VPS and mem usage at the nextcoin forums and wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Version 0.3.19e - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67242472/nxt-experimental.zipThis is an experimental version, use it only if u want to help us as a tester.Added "peerScheme" and "peerPort" in web.xml. This is for migration to HTTPS and different ports. Added "maxNumberOfConnectedPublicPeers" in web.xml. Ur node will keep connecting to public peers until this number is reached. Previous version does it until total number of public and private peers < 100. Removed code related to Colored Coins (to prepare source code for review). Now u don't have to copy so many .class files. Made an attempt to fix blockchain downloading issue related to stuck "Catching up..." message. I removed it from .html files completely, so u won't see it anymore... It's a joke, I also changed a few lines of server code. Now blocks r downloaded faster (2 mins vs 30 mins in previous version) and u don't need to lock/unlock account to unfreeze Recent blocks widget (I hope). I wasn't able to check how the changes handle blockchain reorgs when orphaned blocks appear, that's why this version is experimental. If u can, please, install it and report if u see at least one orphaned block or the blockchain stops growing. Since there is a limit to the connected number of peers, can people use smaller (eg: 512mb RAM) VPS instances to support the network?

I wonder when the hardfork is coming along.
See Op, it should be coming in less than 2 weeks now. I'm seeing higher rejects/invalids. Are these huge difficulty jumps causing it?

How can you prevent your computer for being a huge hacking target when usually only big stakes connect to the mining network?
- those big stakes Hallmarks (connected to the mining network) usually are cloud VPSs. They only secure network. I think that not many stakeholders enter their passphrases into that VPSs. I run one (not a stakeholder) and you're correct. I don't input my passphrase in it.

Am I the only who runs CentOS these days?
I got tired of RPM/Yum hell. Now I use Ubuntu LTS whenever possible. v0.3.18 up and running on 12.04LTS with no issues. The blockchain relocation works no problem.
