7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / GRIN and the battle of Yu-Gi-Oh! on: January 16, 2019, 09:23:20 PM
Tangentiating the innovations of the crypto market, it seems we have a candidate for "new and improved bitcoin" of the year.

Probably in the next few days you will begin to see and read about something called Grin, a new criptomoeda that focuses on privacy and uses a whole new protocol, called MimbleWimble.

For me, these battles between protocols, to see the one who marginally can be better than the others, seem like an immense battle of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Every card that the player draws in the drawing is a little better than the one of the opponent, and this one, in turn, in his move, takes another better one. The cycle seems infinite.

In fact, it's a battle of egos among developers who want to prove to the world that their protocols created from scratch may be better than existing ones.

The best solution would be to contribute to something that is already running, and not start all over again. But no one controls innovation, and it follows a course of its own.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is a 51% attack? on: January 09, 2019, 08:47:32 PM
The attack occurs when a user (or group of users), when obtaining more than 50% of the computing power of the network, changes already registered transactions and performs the so-called "double expense".

This type of attack is a rather particular risk factor for cryptoactives, especially for leaner networks, which rely on fewer miners working to ensure that transactions are recorded correctly on their networks.

That's why it's always worth keeping an eye out for the smaller projects that make up your portfolio and devising a strategy not to compromise it if it happens to any of your portfolio assets.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / I bet it all in bitcoin? on: January 04, 2019, 09:05:20 PM
"If I'm right in the thesis, what do I get?"

"But on the other hand, if I am wrong, what is the maximum I lose?"

With these two bezels on your head, it's easy to size and risk your bet.

The risk is huge and so we must scale very well the amount we have to lose, not to fall into the fallacy of trying to solve life with a single shot.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: December 23, 2018, 04:10:22 PM
The risk is in any and all operations.

If you buy a lottery ticket, you are losing all the capital invested in exchange for the chande a stratospheric return.

If you buy a zero car, you know you will lose money in the future.

If you buy Bitcoin you know that you are risky to see your money turn into dust.

But you're also risking a lot of money, more than you can imagine.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Facebook Coin? on: December 21, 2018, 08:36:02 PM
As reported yesterday by Bloomberg, the world's largest social network is developing its own crypto-currency. To be more specific, a stablecoin, which is a type of digital currency tied to a fiduciary currency, such as the dollar or the real. The company is far from launching the currency in the market, since it is still working on its strategy. By the way, Facebook's intention to work in the payments arena comes from hiring the former CEO of PayPal, David Marcus, in 2014. In all probability, cryptomoeda will allow users to make WhatsApp downloads. Convenient, is not it? Let's see how Mark does in this new venture ...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Best investment of the decade on: December 19, 2018, 09:38:37 PM
The investment with an exorbitant multiplier, of more than 4 thousand times, was the bitcoin of 2009 until today.
Even with recent declines, it is still the best investment of the decade and if it were costing $ 0.002 today, less than a penny, it still would have beaten the other option.

And the low-yield investment was the S & P 500, an index of the American stock market.

Well, this time, the year is 2019.

In 10 years, this market will generate an exorbitant gain as happened from 2009 to here, or go to zero.

Both extremes interest me. Do not judge me, I believe a lot in this market, but if I have a "win or win" situation, it is with her that I go.

And you should also get that sealed horse that's passing in front of you once more.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / It is the time of the prophets on: December 19, 2018, 08:41:31 PM
Only with a small 17 percent hike since the last bottom of bitcoin, the market already begins to dust off its crystal balls to punish specialized media.

Those with more certainty and the most absurd predictions always win the most relevant headlines.

After all, nobody wants to give voice to those who are half right, full of doubts or with more questions than answers.

"I think ..." is worth much less than "I'm convinced and convinced that ...".

And in this sea of certainties of dubious figures, those who buy this type of idea are the ones who suffer the most.

Because, even when they are certain theses, they have their doubts and it is through them that they change their direction along the way.

Those who have heard them can not grasp anything about their uncertainties and remain confident in the thesis with their eyes closed.

In this way, your best defense is to doubt everything, but especially of those who live with certainties.
14  Local / Brasil / Re: Brasileiros com conhecimento técnico em criptomoedas? on: December 17, 2018, 01:21:56 PM

15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where's the bottom well? on: December 12, 2018, 09:56:49 AM
TKS for help. Graphically btc has already opened purchase for trend reversal. But as I've learned, the market does not resemble the traditional stock market. There are whales and manipulations that make this unregulated market something different. I bet on more downturns until there is good and shocking news to reverse this bear market.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy now or wait? on: December 12, 2018, 09:53:29 AM
I recently opened a discussion on the graphic background of bitcoin. Graphically btc has already opened purchase for trend reversal. But as I've learned, the market does not resemble the traditional stock market. There are whales and manipulations that make this unregulated market something different. I bet on more downturns until there is good and shocking news to reverse this bear market.
17  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: 5 razões porque o Bitcoin (BTC) é melhor que Ouro on: December 11, 2018, 11:45:25 AM
18  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Reguladores Sul-Coreanos Debaterão Regulamentos de Criptomoedas on: December 11, 2018, 10:44:25 AM
