So I have included an update price button which makes it a bit easier to use as you just need to click it and the scripts will run.

So Nahtnam,

The way it works is when you use the menu I added and go Data Collection > Update Prices it updates them, just you saying that makes me think maybe I should make the update happen whenever we open the document what do you think about that?  (This is very easy to implement just one extra line of code) The only down side is that you can't see the change in values you need to remember what it was the last time you open it, perhaps I should also add a new column that is the change in price?  (This would be a little bit harder but ultimately more useful.)

Update for anyone not following the other thread.

I have added support for Cryptsy and a new user interface.

Nice works guys.

A couple of things you might want to change are:
  • The info over the graph is in the way a bit.
  • The time axis is just numbers no units and I think its backwards.

I was in the process of making something like this on google app engine but ended up not finishing it, so well done.

Top job.

Hi guys,

Now I can post in the big boys forum I thought i would share my Google Docs Spreadsheet.

I find it is great for getting a quick update on prices without having to use any of your login details so if your on a public network you can still keep track of your investments.

As always, looking for ways to make this better.

Haha, my site is broken. There is much more to it, but my api key updated so it broke. I just fixed it so feel free to check it out again... Smiley

I guessed as much but the theme is nice and clean, did you make it yourself doing the CSS?

A site filled with content is not necessarily the best site. Smiley
Perhaps allow people to access a copy of a spreadsheet on a site which automatically updates the rate values?

Good idea mate, I'm going to get started on a theme now, then try add the spreadsheet. I also can easily extend the spreadsheet for cryptsy.com, in fact if you look at the "code" I have a method for it already incorporated just not doing anything at the moment. The reason i left it off is because the page would be very crowed as there is a huge number of currency pairs on cryptsy. What do you think? Maybe a different sheet or a away to select just the pairs you need, I'm not sure how easy this would be to do in a spreadsheet but.

Haha, good point nahtnam.

The reason I have not done so yet it because there would be a lack of decent content.

I might just put something simple up but effective like you have done, but first I need to make my mind up on the layout.

Thanks for your input.

No worries, thank you for trying it.

I plan on making it possible to get the quantity of bit coins in each currency you have in your account with the API, but I have not been able to get this to work yet.

Hi guys,

I'm just here promoting my free Google docs spreadsheet that you can use to keep track of your bitcoin and altcoin investments using the BTC-e prices.

This is also a good way to keep track of your investments on unsecured networks or public networks as you do not need to log in to your trading accounts.

You can find the instructions at.

http://www.apoaps.com/cryptotable.html

Please if you have any issues or suggestions let me know. (Odds are there are bugs as I'm no software engineer.)

Cheers Steve

PS: Posted here as I only just created an account.
