How about starting a bet like this:

there will be more no than yes volume on this bet.

That's pretty clever, so the option with less volume wins?

You would be more interested in another user's creation I think: https://www.betmoose.com/bet/rock-paper-scissors-by-number-of-bets-bot-proof-824

max you can win is 2x. So just like a dice game.

It depends on how many people bet. I won this one - but check out what sometimes happens: https://www.betmoose.com/bet/there-will-be-more-yes-than-no-volume-on-this-bet-392

Protip: Get in early, spice up one side, then last second swing the other.
Protip#2: Make sure you have an account to place instantly, anonymous deposits are also instant but the bitcoin network may take a few extra seconds.

Good luck!

I agree with the nuke thing, but we both know that won't happen. Ice Bucket MAY be dumb but this is exactly what we need for *MAINSTREAM* adoption.

You're right, maybe I should've never made it, I should just sit at home in the dark watching the difficulty and price tickers, as well as sifting through the altcoins released hourly.
8  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Where's Andreas at? I want him to do the #IceBucketChallenge! on: August 23, 2014, 03:06:00 AM
Pftsshhhh stop hating, it's fun and connects people together across the globe. If only Obama would do it then challenge Putin too and they can try and 1-up each other, I think stuff like this helps motivate peace.

Andreas should do it and challenge Ben Lawsky to afterwards.
9  Economy / Games and rounds / Where's Andreas at? I want him to do the #IceBucketChallenge! on: August 23, 2014, 02:35:32 AM
Come on can't be that cold! You have 24 hours to respond!

Here's some motivation for you:

10  Other / Meta / Advanced Search 'Message Age' bug on: July 28, 2014, 07:48:09 PM
This was working like 3 days ago, not working now. Setting a number (like 2) days for 'max age' doesn't do anything as far as I can tell now.

Please fix!

12  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS and REVIEWS of SPORTS BOOKS thread. Poster input appreciated. on: July 14, 2014, 03:36:53 AM
peeps, Your work on rating is an important one.

I do however see that there is room for improvement in the standards by which you rate the books -

the period of time being in business is important but consider this:

If one betting site has superior technology or more features it should be rated higher.

for example, xbet.io are in business for over a month now and they are using an escrow technology that makes them the most honest book in existance. even if they want to take money from their bettors they can't do it.

you are not even rating xbet.io which is a shame.

Thanks mybtclove. I'll look into them. Is anyone playing at xbet at this time? Need some more feedback.

FYI Peeps xbet is plagued by shill accounts - check out his post history; there's about 3 of them (that I've seen) crawling around the forum, last time I checked out xbet their site was down so I couldn't test but I am pretty annoyed at the obvious shilling.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Any chance Hillary Clinton could be gay? on: July 04, 2014, 07:32:13 AM
^ yeah i've been looking at their site for the past 30 mins.. i'm definitely sold on them. predictious doesn't seem to have much volume either.

im looking at the leaderboard and it doesn't seem like many people are betting all that much. the guy with the most winnings is .48 btc so far.

You should try creating an account - one of the Settings options I like is the ability to hide yourself from the site (including the leaderboard). Some of the anonymous bettors you see in the bets might be registered users so that may have something to do with it. Other than that, it's still pretty new so a lot of the bigger bets like the silk road one (currently pending) haven't paid out yet. Liquidity will come in time I imagine, I noticed some of the bets that get created with volume placed on both sides attract the most too so some of the hosts are slowly figuring it out and creating new bets with good starting volume. I have like 0.3 BTC total so unfortunately I can't market-make too much Tongue

This guy definitely isn' gay, hes wearing cammo for goodness sakes!

Aahahha Cheesy

they shouldn't be posting those kinds of bets/events. even if she were gay, she would never announce (now of all times) right before her presidential run.

Anyone can host anything at betmoose - up to the bettors to decide what to bet on Tongue. You're right it's kinda silly but still good for a laugh sometimes, I've seen a lot of funny bets get buried created that I would never bet on but are interesting to consider

I made a random one the other day as well:

https://www.betmoose.com/bet/which-will-happen-first-354

1. Circle.com - offering bitcoin buying/storing/exchange/marketplace services (any of the above, they just need to actually launch something viable).

Last I heard that one was already met since Circle does accept Bitcoin
http://www.coindesk.com/bitfin-day-one-circle-talks-p2p-payments-isle-man-details-bitcoin-plans/

The Circle CEO explained in his opening keynote speech that bitcoin is creating new standards for global consumer finance, but it still has a long way to go to “cross the chasm” and enter the mainstream.

Allaire explained that he’s particularly interested in developments in person-to-person payment services that utilise digital currency, stating:

“Person-to-person payments present a huge opportunity and I believe that, in five-to-10 years, sending money person-to-person will be as common as text messaging.”

As for Half Life 3
If that ever happens I would say that would be a big bet in and of itself lol.

Nah I wrote "commercially available" meaning accessible to the mass market/public. If you check circle.com it definitely doesn't look ready yet - though yes, it's probably the one more likely out of the bunch.

Haha HL3 I made it awhile ago no one seemed to bite:

i've been looking at some sites.. which do you like the best? i know of betmoose and preditious.. the gap between the sell ask and buy ask is too much though. it wouldn't be worth cashing out until the event occurs.

I really like BetMoose. It's P2P so there's never a 'gap' between buying/selling. You can bet against yourself all day if you wanted to. I also like the social aspect, actually feels like a community - plus the admins are really active and the site gets weekly updates so it's def my top pick. Plus the creativity of some people actually makes me laugh, something I haven't done on any other exchange ever.

Edit: found their topic for ya; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=645747.msg7216487#msg7216487 can follow it/request features, I suggested 2FA for login and they're adding it for me in the next update!

Edit2: Crap almost forgot; if you sign up, go through this link: https://www.betmoose.com/?ref=Gloomfrost please! Smiley

anyway back on topic! Which politicians do you think are hiding in the closet?

Ready to put those dice winnings to good use? Have what it takes to compete with other potentially larger whales?

Check out the WHALE GAME:
