821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nasdaq: "U.S. Election Puts $1,000 Bitcoin Within Reach" on: June 10, 2016, 06:46:02 AM
Good points here, both for and against.
I am also watching the Brexit vote in the UK with interest. Coming as it does (23rd) just before the halving (July 10), we may see a strong move on the back of Brexit happening
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to cash out? on: June 10, 2016, 06:40:01 AM
Wait for Z-cash to launch. Use it like a completely fool-proof mixing service. Turn back into BTC and exit via Localbitcoins.
823  Local / India / Re: Right time to sell on: June 10, 2016, 05:21:40 AM
Yes, quite sure. Easy to check. Go the Charts section of blockchain.info and look at the price chart in late 2012 (last halving) and it will be quite easy to trace what happened
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin, rootstock, openbazzar and sidechains are the future not scam vaporwares on: June 10, 2016, 05:19:09 AM
I agree that BTC has vast network effects and significant extendability to cover many more use cases but the fact is that there will be a thriving ecosystem of non-BTC cryptos providing specialised utility such as ethereum, lisk and arguably z-cash down the road
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum - Time to buy or time to sell? on: June 09, 2016, 11:01:07 AM
I am a better seller at current levels as well. Also a little worried about downstream impact on ether price if the DAO starts to flounder and lose steam.
826  Local / India / Re: Right time to sell on: June 09, 2016, 10:18:18 AM
At the last halving, it was several months later that a big price upswing happened. The market is a lot less inefficient and better understood today, so would expect prices to rise steadily post halving also. A big correction is always possible of course.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs btc? on: June 08, 2016, 04:52:46 AM
BTC has a hard limit, therefore arguably built to be a strong store of value - digital gold etc
Ethereum's monetary policy not yet set in stone, inflationary as things stand, tbd
BTC probably will be the better asset to save in long-term, without taking anything away from the utility that E brings
828  Economy / Services / Re: ⊗⊗⊗ SportsBet.io ⊗⊗⊗ - Signature campaign! Earn UP to 0.035 BTC/Week ! on: June 08, 2016, 04:46:51 AM
Are there any Hero slots left in this campaign? Is there a spreadsheet?
829  Economy / Services / Re: Renting accounts????? on: June 07, 2016, 04:32:22 PM
That's a bad idea. Your tenant may not return your account, which is why a security deposit is needed which comes with two-way trust issues. Plus as folks have pointed out your rented acct may get hit with -ve trust
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Price of Bitcoin After Halving on: June 07, 2016, 04:26:00 PM
I think we will see $700 before halving, and an extremely volatile move into the $800 to 1000 range by the end of the year
831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: June 07, 2016, 06:50:20 AM
I use both for online purchases, but probably use PP more though as BTC becomes more widespread, I will dump PP
I am very stoked about OpenBazaar's potential to make BTC commerce ubiquitous and gut the PP model
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recieving more support on: June 07, 2016, 06:43:06 AM
User adoption may not be a break out exponential curve anymore, but still very impressive

833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Soon Back To Sub 1 Dollar on: June 07, 2016, 04:10:42 AM
Why have Ether exchange volumes fallen off the cliff in recent days? Wouldn't that usually indicate a correction is around the corner. That said, no way it goes to sub $1 imho. Maybe temporary fall to sub $10
834  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Brakoo.com ★ The simplest bitcoin game - Signature campain on: June 07, 2016, 04:00:15 AM
Payment received as always. Thanks. Will continue.
835  Other / Off-topic / Re: The First Thing You Bought? on: June 06, 2016, 04:02:20 PM
I bought a couple of domain names on namecheap with btc
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinised- bitcoin´s-resurgence may not be short lived on: June 06, 2016, 11:29:37 AM
There will be significant volatility but I fully expect BTC to breach $1k before the end of this year
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bottom will drop out of the alt market soon on: June 06, 2016, 08:23:45 AM
I don't think $13 is the bottom for ethereum. It hasn't been around long enough for that to be clear. My guess is a temporary fall-back to below $10 is quite possible especially if the DAO stalls short-term
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth bubble has popped - Will you be left a bagholder? on: June 06, 2016, 08:11:35 AM
I think ethereum's price performance has been great, just seems to me like the supply policies may not best lend themselves to ether becoming a good, long term store of value. But still reading up on it.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bottom will drop out of the alt market soon on: June 06, 2016, 06:41:36 AM
What do you folks think of Zcash as things stand? What would it need to be like in terms of design for you to invest? Curious what the community thinks
840  Economy / Marketplace / Re: where can i invest my 1btc? on: June 06, 2016, 06:04:34 AM
I use magnr at the moment for margin lending and things have gone smoothly including withdrawing to external wallet. But Caveat emptor obviously. They pay 2.35% AER at the moment.
