Is there a Windows version of 1b compiled somewhere?

I've tried both wafflepool and clevermining and result is the same.

I ihaven't yet tried cpuminer because I can't seem to image sd on my machine.

I had an issue recently, turns out a lot of the newer SD cards (HC/XS or whatever) have problems. Had to buy a little dedicated reader that plugged in to USB port and then it worked
I'm currently doing a test run of hashra and seems to be going well - only 30 minutes in though and 14% rejects... hmm! Will give it 24h
Clevermining seems to be reporting the correct rate. May test on multipool also
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 14, 2014, 03:19:22 PM
Has anyone encountered the following problem?:

I am running 20 grid seeds off a pi running hashra controlla (BFG). These are recently volt-modded 47.7k resistor to go about 510khsh.
Controller shows very little hw rejects at 1200.

PROBLEM: They are showing 510khsh on the controller, but poolside they only report about half that.

When I take I clock it back down to 800 from 1200, controller and poolside are aligned at about 340 per unit.

Thanks in advance for any help.

bump

Tried a different pool? Tried cpuminer?
I'm not technical enough to debug but it's worth ruling out some of the basics - pool, mining software

Anyone ever have trouble with Blades and CGMiner in windows? I get the pop up "pthreadGC2.dll" is missing, then CGMiner closes. So weird because it mines single Gridseeds just fine.

So much trouble I gave up and have been using CPUminer exclusively since!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning - Losing Connection on: May 13, 2014, 03:37:54 PM
Good show....
I presume it works with the 5 chip pods also?
I haven't had to use any reset commands like that before. I had turned OFF comm port FIFO buffers. They are still OFF.
The original version 2.3.2 I was using that doesn't have stats at the top of the page, was working perfectly before I started upgrading to the latest versions, which have all had a series of bugs either newly created or missed in each 'fixed version' which is completely counter productive. So I wait and watch until I think it's safe to upgrade, then look what happens.... ;( I appreciate the efforts but, it's just disappointing if not completely avoidable.

I'm afraid I don't have any 5 chips so can't comment regarding them
I'm currently getting a pretty consistent and solid hashrate on Clevermining so fingers crossed it's all working fine - only 4 hours of mining so far though
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 13, 2014, 01:27:19 PM
You'll have to go back and do a bit of digging I believe
It resets the blade after that number of seconds (or something similar but more usefully technically) so stopping any garbage building up. Makes it in to a 24/7 miner
I believe I had that going when I got a nice 5 day run last week so I've put it on again to test

Backup plan is Hashra but Sandor's done such a great job I'll support by using and helping with debug (and donation if the mining continues long enough!)

New session started at 0928 my time (it's now 1002 fyi)

Initial session started, chips got to around 4.7mh/s and then stopped, I have restarted since and realised that overwrote the log but it seemed to be doing the same as above. Not sure what happens maybe it's some kind of loops it gets itself in to

Set --gc3355-timeout=600

Have I been a fool in removing it? I thought an earlier comment said it was no longer needed

In addition - how do I set it, and the --log value in the config file?

EDIT: With 600 I've been getting a low hashrate averaging around 4.5mh/s it looks like, have changed to 300 as I had that in an earlier version and it seemed to work well

OK and I've just noticed that the power use has dropped and the blade is not hot any more

So overall appearances seem good but the hashrate at the server is 0

EDIT: Version 1.0b
Looks like it lasted from ~ 16:00 - 04:00
so 12 hours
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 12, 2014, 09:46:06 PM
I've been running the latest build as of this morning since an hour after it was posted, and it's been running strong ever since.  Haven't had any problems at all with it.
I'm running 6 gridseeds attached to a powered USB hub on a machine (4.5Ghz i7, 24GB RAM, 5-disk raid + SSD) running Win8.1.

Maybe it's something to do with your setups?  Or a resource issue running a higher number of gridseeds and or blades?

My setup is relatively test for now - single blade on main PC
Rebooted last night

I ran it for around 4 days before any cut out issues with 0.9f I believe, and similar with a version before they were numbered

Currently still going fine but it's only been a few hours

Sandor has released ver 1.0b as of late. Maybe even later but 1.0b seems to be the most stable yet, even though mine crapped out after about 4 hours, I think it was the pool and the poor DOGE-GIES messing things up. Mining at clevermining right now., Only been for an hour though but so far so good...
Good luck!

I've been using 1.0b

It does seem to go through odd phases where it just says it's resetting the chips
I think it's been doing that in a loop when the mining had stopped

Currently 6.5 hours and going fine

Weird thing is it is still running / displaying stats as if it was still logged into the server and mining but I can't check because doge.wannamine.com is down and I don't know how long that's been the case. Stats are updating as if it's still mining! Weird! If it lost connection I would think all stats would go to 000....What's up with that? Is it just simulating? Stuck in a loop?
Thanks

I've the same problem her, at some point the work just stops
I'm mining on multipool as my main pool and it's definitely up, but after a while it seems to stop getting work. Although the miner is still reporting as if work is happening the pool is reporting a hashrate of 0

I've turned on to clevermining for a bit as it's easier to determine when the work cuts out on that pool due to the nature of the stats - started again about 3 minutes ago now and will look to report when/if it cuts out!

EDIT: Using v 1.0b
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 07, 2014, 03:57:27 PM
0.9e going strong for 28 hours so far

will update to f next time there's an interrupt
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 07, 2014, 08:38:24 AM
Nice update Sandor - RE v0.9e - I see blades more stable now, but after time it still falls into the path of not posting work..the 5chips remain good though when that happens.

Trying with the new timeout flag to see if that keeps them going after 1-2 hrs.  Will report back if they don't recycle with the flag.

Alright the last 8+ hours with .9e has been rock solid as long as the timeout recycle is set..

I don't how many occurred but I randomly caught 3 recycles during that time.

I just wish one of them wasn't throwing ~20HW error/hr.

This is by far and away the most solid I've with a steady 2.7MH @pool across all blades @838Mhz.

If anyone has ideas to squeeze out a bit more juice or calm the HW errors on a blade I'm all ears.

I'm now on 21 hours and all seems to be good. Timeout set at 300

I've my blades set at 838 and getting the following stats:

 GSD 0 | 838 MHz | 2796.9/2828.6 KH/s | A: 12867 R: 45 H: 1

 GSD 1 | 838 MHz | 2811.4/2829.9 KH/s | A: 12943 R: 36 H: 2
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 06, 2014, 09:47:42 AM
I have to say I've had little but trouble since switching off the last non-versioned minerd I got on the 28th April
It seems to be the issue that everyone else has - eventually work just stops being submitted. Still appears to be working, still have a full set of stats coming but the pool is reporting nothing its end!

I'm giving 0.9e a try now and will see how long it can run for
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 05, 2014, 05:16:08 PM
I woke up this morning and found the Blade miner had stopped again during the night
using the latest software. I did turn OFF the FIFO buffers and set the baud speed to
115200 for ports 3 & 4 which are being used. Anything else I can check?

Its not the Blade as if I use BFGminer it works for days on end but lower hash power.
The software has stopped working on 3 different pools randomly and the laptop is hard
wired to the network console.

Here is a picture of the software as it was this morning on the Mining Pool Co.

Sadly I'm facing the same, have two blades running on-location right now and I get at least one half dropping off every ~6 hours.  Thought it was a power issue so I moved them to different locations but still the same.  Already abandoned both BFG and CG miners as CPUMiner has been the most stable, but regardless cannot keep the blades running without issue.  A few times I've seen the LIBUSB errors pop up, but generally by the time I see the dropoff I only see a screen like the above with a few stratum messages, a few new jobs listed, but nothing accepted and the rate moving down.

Trying a different usb hub this morning, but overall getting very frustrated at keeping these online.  Tuned units of any other sort haven't kept me this involved in tuning/restarting/etc. in a long time. :/

It could be a Windows thing, did any if you try a different platform?

I think I had this issue - first time round on autotune with 0.9d it lasted 11 hours
Unfortunately I was running just the .bat file and it just was closed when I got back to it

now running in a command window, has autotuned to 847 and 831 and currently been going for 8 hours so far.....

Definitely no power issues - running off a 1000W gold. very susceptible to pool/connection issues though, need to set up a pool backup loop......
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 04, 2014, 08:50:09 PM
I have not had any issues with Autotune on the Blade.  If it goes to high and fails it puts it lower and it works great.
The sweet spot seems to be 850 for me so far on the Blade.  Solid, stable, and next to no errors.

Changed to the new version, running solid for 5+ hours. Autotune already finished, it's a very nice feature, now I can push my rig further!

Thanks for your work, sandor111

Having read on how tight the Blades are on specs - has anyone experienced issues pushing too hard via auto tune yet?

OK great, I've been running at freq 838 which seems to then default to 825 - has given me 5.58MH/s so wasn't complaining
Updated binaries, have got debugging and autotune on so will see where the white rabbit takes it

Your pool is sending a new job like every second, could you please try a different pool?

I think you may have found my issue as I switched it to clevermining pool which seems to be giving the miners a difficulty of 512. I had been using difficulty of 128 with my gridseeds on multipool and never modified this for the blade. Seems to not be an issue with the 5 chip gridseeds, but it must be sending work too quickly for the blades to handle. Its been up and running for over 10 minutes now so I will let you know how it goes.

I remember reading somewhere that said a difficulty of 256 was best for MultiPool, maybe 512
I've had it running now on MultiPool set to 256 since:  cpuminer-gc3355 - Started: [2014-05-01 19:47:02]
Still going strong at 5.58MH/s
