1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] ANTMINER S9 13.5 on: March 25, 2018, 01:03:35 AM
Yeah, dude's out of his mind. I wouldn't be long stocks right now even with a 25% buffer. I got all the miners I need right now. Not the time to be leaning into it. Bitmain's about to drop the 10nm bomb on it. Probably in July or August.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] ANTMINER S9 13.5 on: March 24, 2018, 10:14:45 PM
Sold 2 of the LIKE NEW.
I contacted you about buying from you direct when I was in Dallas Thursday an Friday and I got no response. Lucky for me. I can now buy directly from Bitmain for 25% less than your offer. Good luck with your sale.

4  Economy / Services / Re: Large Hosting Required (Canada) on: March 21, 2018, 10:18:40 PM
Hello,

I am looking for hosting (Minimum of 3 MW per facility) and can immediately fill 15 MW.

I am looking for competitive pricing since we can build a partnership, we can increase miners monthly etc.

Please provide all in costs for electricity, timelines for upgrades, etc.

Just what this space needs. Another huge centralizing bunch of greed consumed parasites (corporate scum) to further centralize the protocols, all for the sake of them stuffing their pockets and bringing NOTHING to the party. I sincerely hope you get fully invested and then go broke or get taken down by a government. Lowlifes like you are exactly what is destroying the Block Chain for everyone. If you have enough money to set this up well...maybe you "have enough money". Did you ever think of that? No because you're a bunch of greedy bloodsucking parasites. I wish you all the worst.

A little harsh, how do you get someone with a ton of miners as corporate scum.  So anyone with a lot of miners bring "nothing" to the table....how would you know any of that.  For all you know satoshi has a big farm somewhere mining away
If he was "mining his own" he wouldn't be looking for hosting. He's a quick buck corporate speculator that got jammed up because he ordered a Metric shit tonne of miners to go for the easy Gold and then found out it's not that easy. I am pretty sure it's the same asshat that tried to sell 5000 S9's in here at $2000.00 per.

8  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS] All aluminum open-air frame for Octominer motherboard (riserless 8 GPU) on: March 20, 2018, 12:43:19 AM
Hey Rich,
Frame just arrived. Looks great! Thanks. I'll get it set up in the morning and PSU's and MOBO. Then wait.......for GPU card prices to come back into the Earth's atmosphere....LOL. Rich has been great to deal with gang. If you're thinking about a riser less open air, go for it. It's a solid product and good support from the man himself.

I just leave it here Smiley

I wish the BTC had a balls to make such a move like they did! But I do fear that BTC core team and huge industrial miners make love under the hood Tongue Welcome to BTC-CARTEL
That is absolutely beautiful. Standing ovation for Monero.

At $1,150.00 per set, you are far below any price Bitmain has ever sold directly to the public. So we can only surmise that you are losing money. So be it. I will buy 30 S9/PSU sets at $987.50 each. I will pick them up at your "Chicago Location". Please post that address. I will make plans to go there. I will NOT send you any funds until I arrive at the pickup location. Cash and carry.  I assume you're fine with that?

Seems like everyone is missing the point entirely. This macro situation in Crypto Mining is, that it's on it's death bed. People clamoring for "competition to Bitmain " are getting their wish. One needs to look closely at what happened in the X11 network, and extrapolate that out to all Algos. D3 was and is the Harbinger of where mining profits are going. There are NO barriers to mining to speak of and MASSIVE corporations are setting up MASSIVE operations all over the world. Hence, prices are going DOWN on Crypto and difficulties are going UP. This is only the beginning of the end. No, BTC is not going up again until full implementation of lightning network. Right now there is very little "use case" for BTC. Maybe enough to support $1200 BTC but NOT $7000. Enjoy it while you can, because I promise you. There is a MAJOR SHAKEOUT coming in ALL THINGS mining. This thing got waaaay ahead of itself and there are far too many stunned morons running massive mining operations. I've never made a single wrong prediction in this space and I'm not about to start now. Within 6 months to 1 year, it will be Game, Set, Match. ( unless lightning network comes online and allows this thing to scale). Blame whoever you want but truth be told, if Bitmain didn't flood the networks, someone else would have.

That is why I say competition is stupid. There are only so many coins being released every 10 mins. More asic manufacturers means more competition and that means higher difficulty and less profits for miners and far biggest risks. See wat happen with X11, dash miners by bitmain, innosilicon and pinidea? They 3 of them flooded the market an miners lose. The antminer S9 ruled btc algo for a long time and early users of it make money. Miners make more money when bitmain has a monopoly over the coin. The worst risk is when a new miner from an asic manufacturer makes other miner obsolete.

I dont agree with the rest of the things u say though.
I don't blame you Sandal. It's not a pretty picture. But if you read through what you wrote, you're actually supporting everything I said with more anecdotal evidence. It took longer to swamp the SHA256 algo, but it IS being swamped. Even that monster can only take so much. Especially with a 70% drop in coin price.

Just bought an s9 last night so it should come next week
Anyone know how much louder it is compaired to lets say an l3+ ( i know its ltc miner) or avalon 741?
As my 741 is a part time miner it mines only when im at work due to free electric but i want to mine my new s9 at home 24/7 along with my l3+
Also it nice to c the pools th go up even with the price of btc falling Smiley
S9 is louder. roughly 10 decibels. More importantly it's hotter. Way hotter. Why is it nice to see the TH go up with price going down? You don't realize that this is a death nell? If that trend continues (and it will) you won't be mining anywhere.

I have 3 Avalon 841 coming in march/April, anyone know of some hosting possibilities
Profits are so low right now....how can any "hosting service" be profitable for the unit owner???

I run a small hosting gig for friends. I have 17 S9's hosted. I found a few places to mine that was producing 200-300% daily take.

I take 25% of the net after power is paid.

If btc goes any lower the machines will have to be turned off for a bit unless the customers want to pay their power in cash.

All of them are very long on BTC, plan on holding for years, so my guess is a few of them will probably want to pay it in cash.

Is it a gamble? sure. I'm long on BTC too, so I'm doing the same thing with my reward.
Can you explain the calculations on the " 200-300% " take? I don't understand that. In my accounting, there is no GPM until my hardware and infrastructure are paid off. A fully functional S9 today as a new purchase based on Bitmain price is around $2500 after cost shipping taxes infrastructure rig up etc. The S9 only makes $5.50 PD after .085 Kwh or $165.00 pm. 15.15 months to any GPM. If you're coughing any of that up to a host you're doubly screwed.

If I spent $11 999 on a X3 I would be pissed.

Halong Mining just launched X1 and X2 (equiveland to Bitmain X3) and then presto, X3 batch for now $1 900. Just shows the markup they put on and oh boy what a cryptonight ASIC war brewing.

Halong, Bitmain and then Baikal but they are taking a HUGE beating full on blows as they cannot come remotely close to the others.

I don't think any of them will sell enough to shake the market this is just to affect each others profit margins a clear tit for tat.

Problem is there are too many asic manufacturers. No winner here as asic manufacturers earn less and miners will not earn much either. That is the problem with excess capacity.
After all, there are only so many coins to be earned. This is an arms race.
Yup a "race to the bottom".
